Chapter 797 - 122: You Must Love Me, Right?

Hearing the familiar voice, Angelo seemed to understand something. While Drake was not noticing, he took a chance to lunge forward and take the phone from Drake.

When she saw the name on the phone, Angelo hung it up at once. She gave a long breath, thinking that Drake indeed called Hale.

She didn't want Drake to meet Hale now because she didn't want Drake to know Angelo, his brother, had left Hale.

Though she had made an excuse to Hale, Drake might see it through. So, she didn't want him to know it so soon.

"Give it back to me."

Drake reached out for the phone. But he was so upset that he didn't think carefully about why Angeline did just now.

"No, unless you send me home."

Angelo stuffed the phone into her bag and then played her old trick. She went to Drake, grabbed his sleeve, and gently shook it.

It used to work every time. But she just neglected that she was Angeline now.

For a moment, Drake was in a daze because of her actions. But he then came to himself and shook Angelo's hand down.

Angelo then hurried to block in front of Drake. When she saw the irritation on his face, her heart hurt.

"What the hell are you doing?" asked Drake.

The words brought Angelo's sense back, she thought about it, stared at Drake's eyes, and hesitated before asking, "You said you loved me, Drake. How about me being your girlfriend?"

She tried to say it in a joyful tone.

Drake stayed. The scene where he confessed his love for Angeline appeared in his mind. His heart throbbed, but Angelo's face soon replaced the scene. He then felt bitter in the heart.

He did that because he wanted to take Angeline as a replacement for Angelo, but he couldn't do this now.

Angeline was Angelo's sister, and he couldn't do that to her. Thinking of that, he smiled bitterly and then shook his head. "I don't love you," he said.

Angelo stayed when she heard that. She was so surprised that she had never expected Drake to say that.

"You are kidding, are you? You must love me, right?"

With that, she grabbed Drake's hand with anxiety full of her eyes. But Drake just wiped her hand down.

"You're Angelo's sister, so you are my sister. I can't fall in love with my relative."

After that, he turned to his car. While Angelo squatted down, thinking all about the words he had just said.

"You can't fall in love with your relative… but I'm not your relative," said Angelo in a broken voice.

Drake was walking but paused when he heard that. He smiled bitterly but then back to his normal look.

How much he wished Angelo wasn't his relative!

Drake thought but knew clearly that it was impossible. He could never change it.

Looking at the back of Drake, Angelo felt that she was disappearing from Drake's world.

"No. I won't disappear from his world!" A voice sounded in her mind. Then she wiped her tears, stood up, and ran to Drake.

Suddenly, she hugged Drake and said in a crying sound, "If you don't love me, then give me a chance to make you do that."

Then she walked to the front of Drake and stared at him. Then she tiptoed and kissed him.

Feeling the soft touch, Drake subconsciously reached out. While he was about to hold Angelo in her waist, he suddenly realized what he was doing.

He pushed Angelo away and turned to leave without hesitation. Seeing that, Angelo felt so hurt.

Tears fell from her eyes, making her look pathetic. Drake felt guilty, but soon he decided to be firm in his determination.

While he was about to drive, he heard a familiar voice, "Angeline, what's wrong with you? Are you alright?"

It was Jeremy. He was worried when he saw Angelo crying here and came to ask.

Seeing Jeremy coming, Angelo quickly wiped tears from her face. She didn't want others to see her in such a mess.

Then she smiled at Jeremy, "Nothing. There was a fly in my eye." Her voice was still hoarse.

Her pathetic look made Jeremy feel sad. He rubbed her head gently, liking comforting a little girl.

"Silly girl. There are no flies here. You can cry if you want to."

With that, he held Angelo's head to his shoulder. Angelo was so sad that she couldn't control herself anymore when she leaned on Jeremy's shoulder.

Tears fell from her tears and wet Jeremy's clothes. Sensing the sadness of Angelo, Jeremy felt sadder for her.

The scene was witnessed by Drake, he clenched the steering wheel but hadn't stepped the accelerator for a while. He stared at Jeremy with coldness filled in his eyes.

When Jeremy sensed the gaze, he stopped his move of patting Angelo. Then he forced a smile on Drake and held Angelo in his c.h.e.s.t.

Angelo was drawn in her sadness and didn't realize his action. After some venting, she finally calmed down.

She wiped her tears and was about to withdraw from Jeremy's hug when her wrist was grabbed.

Then she was dragged away from Jeremy. She raised her head to see Drake with a dark face, and she was puzzled.

She thought Drake had left, but why was he here? And he grabbed her hand.

She stared at Drake's hand, which was grabbing her hand, when she heard Jeremy say, "You are still here, Mr. Thorne."

His words aroused Angelo's confusion. She nodded and looked at him, "Didn't you leave just now?"

Hearing her, Drake strengthened the strength of holding her wrist. He knew he should leave now, but he just couldn't control himself. The scene just now made him feel sad.

"Ouch!" Angelo couldn't help gasping because of the pain from her wrist.

Drake hurriedly let go of her wrist. When he saw the bruise on her wrist, he regretted what he had done.

He looked away and thought of Angelo's question.

"What? You want me to leave early?" he said with an unhappy face.
