Chapter 807 - 132: How Long Has He Been Away?

The more he thought about it, the more he admired Angelo's precognition. Drake had never asked about any family member's whereabouts.

Hearing Hale, Drake frowned. Out of no reason, he felt irritated when he heard that Angelo went to a classmate's party.

What was in his mind now was the flushed face and drunk eyes of Angelo. While thinking, he couldn't help clenching his hands.

But Angelo went to a party, he couldn't call him back. For people like them, parties were places to make contact with more people.

He had planned to let Angelo know more people to help him with business. While he was in depression, a car beeped outside.

"It must be Angelo," said Patrick, looking excited and hurrying out.

Drake hesitated but still followed out slowly.

"Hi, grandma."

Patrick was so disappointed when he saw the person coming. He winched his neck and greeted Corrine in a depressed voice.

Drake was almost the same as Corrine. So, she was the one Patrick was afraid of except Drake.

"Hello, grandma."

Drake greeted Corrine and then looked to her back. When he didn't see Angelo, he was disappointed, but he still looked calm.

"Hello, boys."

Corrine was also wearing a serious face, walking slowly to the house. She had never taken herself as an old lady. So Drake and Patrick didn't go to support her but quietly followed behind her.

But Corrine wasn't quite happy about it. She couldn't help thinking of Angelo. Sure enough, old people wanted concern from their relatives.

She sat on the sofa and began to look around. Patrick sat opposite her, looking quite serious.

"I have to deal with some business, grandma. How about Patrick talk with you here?" asked Drake.

Corrine nodded. As the big boss of the Thorne family, Drake had been very busy.

"All right," replied her.

Drake then turned to leave.

Patrick, however, wasn't very happy about it. He hated to be with Corrine. If he was with Drake, he could leave him at any time. But if it came to Corrine, he could only endure the pressure from her.

Corrine could tell that Patrick was irritated, so she was kind of upset. She looked around but didn't see Angelo.

She knew Drake had applied for graduation for Angelo in advance, so Angelo should be at home now.

Seeing Corrine looking around, Patrick knew she must be looking for someone. Usually, only Zoey could please Corrine, so he asked, "Who do you want, grandma? Zoey?"

However, Corrine shook her head. After the resort, she wanted to see Angelo again.

"No. Where's Angelo?" she said.

But Patrick was surprised. As he knew, Angelo was the last kid Corrine wanted to see.

But then he thought of the change of Drake's attitude towards Angelo, and he came to realize the change of Angelo.

In his heart, he couldn't help thumbing up for Angelo. He didn't expect Angelo to win over Drake as well as the biggest boss, Corrine.

"Where's Angelo?" asked Corrine again.

She wasn't very happy to see Patrick in a daze.

Patrick shivered and then back to himself.

"Angelo went to a party. He has been away for a few days," complained Patrick.

He had wished to get Angeline's number from Angelo. But Angelo just went out for fun without even telling him, so he could only stay at home to wait for him.

Drake didn't have much time for him, so he was kind of idle. But in the bar, any beautiful girls couldn't arouse his interest. So he thought Angeline might be the girl who would end his single life.

"How long has he been away?" asked Corrine.

Patrick thought about it and replied, "Three days."

"That doesn't sound good."

A party didn't usually last for so many days. When Corrine thought of the kidnapping Angelo had suffered, she was kind of worried.

Then she walked to Drake's office. Patrick was confused but followed up.

Drake was dealing with a contract and was surprised to see Corrine appearing with a worried face.

"What's the matter, grandma?" he asked.

Corrine told him her concern. Drake started to take it seriously. By then, he found that he had neglected it.

While thinking, he stood up and walked out. Corrine hurried to follow up. Patrick, however, was standing, puzzled.

Zoey had been out for a long time, and none of them worried about her. Angelo was just away a few days, and they were in a panic.

"… What about the next, Mr. Thorne?"

The voice from the computer suddenly stopped, seeming to realize that Drake had been away.

Patrick walked to the computer and found that Drake was having a video meeting just now. He went up and said, "Drake has left." Then he turned off the computer.

Seeing the hurried figures of Drake and Corrine, Patrick scratched his head and found that Angelo had valued so much in their hearts.

"Did Angelo tell you where he went, Hale?" asked Drake.

Hale shook his head. Angelo only told him about going to a classmate's party and then left. He didn't ask him about the details.

Looking at the blank face of Hale, Drake was more worried but didn't show it on his face.

"Check the camera down. Find Angelo."

Drake put on his coat. He looked calm, but his hurried steps revealed how worried he was.

Hale hurried to him.

"For Angelo? I think that's too much, Mr. Thorne."

Checking cameras was kind of a favor they got during the long time contact with others. They only got three chances.

Besides, Angelo just went to a party. Checking all the cameras for him was too much. Seeing that Drake wouldn't change his idea, Hale turned to look at Corrine.

"How about you talk to Drake, Mrs. Thorne?"

Corrine was the one who proposed to look for Angelo. Although it seemed too much to check the cameras, Angelo had not been back for a few days, so it was indeed the most effective way.

"Do it as he said," said Corrine.

Then she sat on the sofa, rubbed his knee, and looked somewhere.
