Chapter 820 - 145: You Don’t Look Well

One o'clock in the afternoon.

Angelo, the sixth young master of the Thorne family, walking out of the airport. Hale was waiting near the car. The moment he saw Angelo, he felt like a century had passed since he last saw him.

"Long time no see, Hale. I'm back," Angelo greeted Hale. She looked relaxed but was actually quite nervous for fear of being seen through.

Luckily, Hale didn't doubt her and opened the door of the car for her.

"Is Drake home?"

The one Angelo cared about most was Drake. He was so prudent that her lie might have been caught out from the beginning if it hadn't been for the fact that Angeline indeed had a twin brother.

"Mr. Drake went to the company. But Mrs. Thorne has been waiting for you. She misses you so much during the days you're away."

"I knew grandma would miss me."

Angelo relaxed a bit after learning that Drake wasn't home.

But when they arrived at the house, Angelo saw the car Drake usually drove parking in the yard.

"Did Drake go to the company in another car?" asked Angelo, hopefully by chance.

But Hale ruined her wish, "Aiken drove this car to take Drake to work this morning. Now it seems that he had finished his work and come back."

Angelo laughed bitterly, which, however, was thought of as a happy sign by Hale. He opened the door for Angelo and continued, "Mr. Drake knew you would come yesterday. So, he must be waiting for you now."

Angelo smiled more bitterly and could only get out of the car.

As soon as she entered the living room, she saw Drake sitting on the sofa. When he heard the steps, he turned around slowly.

"Dra… Drake!" Angelo muttered, standing there anxiously, wasn't sure if she should walk to him or not.

Drake tried to look calm, "Come here."

Angelo walked to the front of Drake and paused. Standing there, she was like a guilty little kid.

"Well…" Drake hesitated. There were so many things he wanted to say, but finally, he said, "Are you having fun yet?"

Angelo pursed her lips, thinking that she couldn't say yes, if so, she had to stay at home, then Angeline would never be able to come back.

"Not yet?"

Drake seemed to see through her thoughts and didn't sound happy.

Angelo rolled her eyes and then tried to change the subject, "Where's grandma? I heard she misses me a lot. I'll go to see her."

After that, she hurried upstairs. Looking at her fleeing back, Drake sighed helplessly. They might not be able to go back after the kiss last time. Obviously, Angelo was hiding from him.

Upstairs, around the corner, Angelo smoothed her c.h.e.s.t. She was so nervous that her heart was pounding.

"Angelo?"

The door suddenly opened, Corrine appeared there, looking quite surprised.

Angelo looked up and went to hold her arm.

"I'm back, grandma."

When Angelo got back home, Corrine looked very happy. Angelo was glad about that but was kind of worried. She couldn't live here as Angelo forever, and she had to change her identity into Angeline once she started to apply the plan of taking back the Watts family.

"…Angelo?"

Corrine called several times before Angelo had her senses back.

"What's wrong, grandma?" she asked. She was lost in thought just now and forgot that she was with the Thorne family.

"You don't look well. Are you tired?" Corrine looked at her with concern.

Angelo shook her head and answered guiltily, "I'm fine. I'm just a little tired."

"Then take a rest after lunch," said Corrine.

Looking at Corrine, Angelo felt so guilty, but she had no other choice except to hide it.

After lunch, Angelo was about to go back to her room when Drake suddenly asked, "Where did you go these days?"

Angelo stopped there, couldn't move a step at all.

"I have looked for you but got nothing," he continued and walked to the front of Angelo.

Under his gaze, Angelo felt so much pressure. She tried to calm herself down, thinking that since Drake asked her that, it meant he hadn't known about her secret yet.

"I didn't go somewhere, no destination. You know, just… go around to have fun," replied Angelo, imaging that she was indeed wandering around.

Sensing the sadness in her, Drake couldn't ask more. Anyway, it was he who drove Angelo out, he thought.

He had thought that he could think everything through after these days, but he just couldn't keep calm. Seeing Angelo, his brother in name, again, he couldn't suppress the affections in his heart.

Then what about Angeline? What should he do with her?

Drake needed to be alone. He had to figure out who he indeed loved.

Drake's sudden leave made Angelo relieved. Luckily, he didn't ask more. Otherwise, she couldn't hold it.

When Angelo got back to her room, she spent the whole night thinking about how to leave here this time. She didn't want to come back again. If she kept changing her identities like this, she might expose herself. But she hadn't thought of an idea until five o'clock the next morning.

She went out to drink some water. On the way she came back, she walked past the study and found the light in it was still on.

Did Drake stay up all night?

Angelo approached softly, pushed open a crack in the door, and looked carefully in.

Sure enough, she saw Drake sitting in front of the desk and reading a paper.

When she was about to leave quietly, Drake suddenly looked towards the door, "Angelo?"

Hearing that, Angelo could only look back and push the door to enter. If she ran now, she wouldn't get anything good.

"Do you work till now?"

Angelo sounded casual, but her legs were shaking.

"Yeah. Why do you get up so early?"

Drake checked the time. He knew Angelo was usually sleeping at this time.

"Maybe because I went to bed early yesterday," Angelo smiled. But the dark circles around her eyes revealed her lie.
