Chapter 831 - 156: I'm Afraid I Can't Help You

The next day.

While Angelo thought that there was nothing to do today and she needn't switch her identity, a visitor came.

"You have a visitor, Mr. Angelo," said Hale outside her room.

She had a visitor, really?

With confusion, Angelo opened the door and walked downstairs. Then she saw a familiar but hateful figure.

It was Nathan. He turned back, and then his eyes lit up. Hurriedly, he came to Angelo.

Angelo stepped back and kept a distance from him.

"What are you doing here, Mr. Hill?" asked Angelo indifferently. Deep in her eyes, there was hate.

Nathan looked a little embarrassed. He came to Angelo for help, so he had to keep himself going.

"I heard you had entered the genealogy of the Watts family. Is that true?"

Nathan looked at Angelo with expectation, but Angelo just felt annoyed, "Yeah."

"Congratulations, Mr. Angelo!"

There was hypocrisy full of his face.

Angelo ran out of patience, "Just say it, Mr. Hill. I don't have time to beat around the bush."

Angelo walked to sit on the sofa. With the thought of being killed by Nathan and Ivy's family, she couldn't help clenching her fist.

No one knew how much she wanted to kill them.

But she wasn't able to do, nor could she do that now.

Nathan hesitated for a while, but he finally spoke at the thought of Stella's condition now.

"I'm so happy for you, Mr. Angelo. You are now the host of the leading Watts family, and they must listen to you, right?"

Angelo squinted and seemed to know the reason why Nathan came.

"So?" she asked calmly, waiting for the following words, Nathan.

"Well, here is the thing, you know McCoy, the little son of the Watts family, has been treating my sister badly, and he doesn't even allow my sister to visit us. A married girl can't see her parents? There is no such thing, right?"

"Yeah," replied Angelo casually, who didn't mean to say anything more.

Nathan changed her face, "So, Mr. Angelo, I come to ask for your help today. Can you help to get my sister home?"

"I am not the one who married Stella. How can I help you? Besides, I don't ever meet that son of the Watts family. Do you think he will listen to me?"

Angelo stood up and gave Nathan a look of disgust. She had never found that Nathan was so stupid.

"You'd better think another way. I'm afraid I can't help you."

***

After that, Angelo stood up and was ready to go back to her room.

While she was walking past Nathan, he suddenly turned back and grabbed her wrist.

By instinct, Angelo grabbed his arm and yanked him around, then she bowed and threw him across her shoulder.

It all happened in a flash. Nathan didn't know what happened until he lay on the ground.

"What? You…"

He was so annoyed that he got up to hit Angelo.

Although Angelo had practiced karate for a while, she was a girl and wasn't as strong as Nathan. Just now, she knocked him down out of the blue.

So, she could only hide and thought about how to fight back.

"Drake!" shouted Angelo, running upstairs.

Her words startled Nathan, who finally realized what he was doing. He came to ask Angelo to do him a favor. How did it come to this?

But it was already late. Drake came out. Angelo couldn't stop at once and bumped into him.

"He's killing me, brother!"

Angelo looked at Drake anxiously. She bumped her nose on Drake, and it was so hurt that tears welled up, making her look pitiful.

Drake wasn't happy. He looked down and saw Nathan was still there, so he asked Hale to drive him away.

Nathan didn't want to leave but was finally driven out after being beat.

Angelo was happy. It was just a small punishment but a small better than ever.

"What did he come to you for?"

Drake's eyes changed when he saw Angelo still holding him.

Angelo looked up, pursed her lips, and looked aggrieved.

"He said his sister didn't live well after getting married. He wanted me to help her," she said.

Then she continued, "But I just entered the genealogy of the Watts family. I can't help him. So, he was annoyed and wanted to hit me. But luckily, you're home."

With that, she held Drake tighter.

Drake tried to calm down and said, "Don't see them anymore."

"Yeah," Angelo nodded but then thought of something, "But it's my home here. I didn't expect him to hit me here."

They were very close. Drake felt like he couldn't hold himself when he looked at her mouth open and close. Finally, he got rid of her hands.

"He won't appear in front of you."

After that, he went to the study room.

Angelo thought he had work to do, but she didn't know that Drake couldn't even breathe smoothly now. Facing Angelo, he just couldn't keep calm.

He had planned to take a rest for a few days but finally went to the company because he wasn't sure what would happen if he was with Angelo every day.

"Mr. Thorne, the major shareholders of the Watts Group, started to change their mind," Lisa reported to him as soon as he entered the company.

The plan of purchasing the Watts Group had been going on, but she couldn't find out why the major shareholders of the Watts Group wouldn't sell their shares.

Those shareholders had entered the Watts Group twenty years ago. Lisa thought there must be a long story since she couldn't find it. But she didn't give up investigating it.

This morning, she got a call from one shareholder.

"One of them seems to be their representative. He required us to destroy the Watts family," said Lisa.

Drake lost in thought. He had thought that those shareholders didn't sell their shares because of the affection with the Watts family. But now, it seemed that they had a bone to pick with the Watts family.

He hesitated. He had planned to give Angelo the Watts Group in good condition, but things had gone off course.

"Did they say why?"

"No. I asked them, but they just made the request and didn't say anything else."
