Chapter 881 - 206: She Couldn’t Hold It

When Christina got to the door, she saw Absolon holding Angelo's waist and taking her to the car.

Without hesitation, she got up and blocked the door of the car. Staring at Absolon sternly, she said, "I have warned you. Don't long for things that not belong to you."

There was coldness full in her voice.

Angelo squinted and looked at Christina, wondering if she came to save her.

She drank too much and felt sick, so she tried to support herself, walking to the bathroom. Just as she got out of the room, a man held her waist and took her downstairs.

She was too weak to struggle but knew in mind what Absolon would do to her. However, she didn't even get the strength to shout for help. When she finally uttered, people took her words as drunken nonsense. It happened a lot in restaurants. No one would ask what was going on.

She felt despair as Absolon took her into the car when she saw a slim hand.

She was surprised that the girl was Christina, who had been trying to ruin her fame. Why did she come to save her?

"Miss Christina, I've heard that Angeline once engaged to Drake Thorne, the man you love. Don't you worry that they would get back?"

Absolon didn't lose his hand and looked determined to get what he wanted even though Christina caught him at the scene.

"I like Angeline, and you love Drake. So you can pretend to know nothing and get along with Drake. I promise Angeline won't affect you. Well, what do you think about the deal?" Absolon tried to prevail upon Christina.

Angelo wanted to talk but felt heavy on her head, and her eyes blurred.

She couldn't hold it.

Then a fragrant body held her.

At noon, Angelo woke up and couldn't help raising her hand to cover her eyes from the strong sunlight.

"Oh, you wake up, Angeline!" shouted Cindy cheerfully.

Angelo felt dizzy and smelt a strong smell of alcohol.

Cindy walked to the bed and slowly supported her up, "You scared me! Why did you go out with Christina last night? I thought she would kill you. Luckily, you are all right!"

Her words brought back Angelo's memory last night.

"No!" She didn't go out with Christina last night. Absolon took her away on her way to the bathroom, and Christina showed up to save her!

"What?" asked Cindy confusedly.

Instead of answering her, Angelo grabbed her hand and asked worriedly, "Where's Christina?"

"She had other work and flew back this morning."

Angelo breathed a sigh and then rubbed her temples and said, "I'm thirsty."

Cindy brought her a cup of honey water and said after she finished drinking it, "Do you remember what happened last night? Did Christina do anything to you?"

"No." Angelo shook her head. "Had it not been for her, I would be in Absolon's bed now."

"What?" Cindy stayed there, as her face, full of surprise.

"What's wrong? I can't follow you."

In Cindy's thoughts, Christina usually hurt people, and she had never heard of her helping anyone.

"Let's talk about it later. I have to take a shower."

After drinking the honey water, Angelo felt much better. The first thing she should do now was to wash off the smell on her.

There were two days before Daisy became engaged. Angelo had a headache and needed to clear things out, so she decided to stay one more day in America.

Cindy was with her, like taking a holiday.

Tonight, Angelo received a call from McCoy, who said that Drake found her substitute's dwelling and was going there.

Angelo froze for a second before asking, "Well, what should I do?"

"I don't think Drake will give up before he finds you. Maybe he will follow the clue and find out the substitute's identity. Then you'll be in trouble," said McCoy in a severe tone.

He used to think his arrangement was perfect, but now it seems that Drake's persist far more than he thought.

The substitute had changed several dwellings, but Drake found them all. This time, he acted so quickly that McCoy had no time to erase the substitute's clues.

"Luckily, you're not back yet. Call Drake now and ask him for a meeting. Just stop him from going to the substitute's dwelling. I'll deal with it as quickly as possible," McCoy made the best decision.

Angelo hesitated and said, "Then what should I say to him when I see him?"

"See him?" There was laughter in McCoy's voice.

"You don't need to see him."

The next morning, Angelo got on the plane worriedly. Luckily, she didn't see Drake on it.

She was just worried.

Last night, she called Drake with the French number and asked him to meet. They were appointed to meet at a 24-hour restaurant.

However, she didn't go there but asked Cindy to book a ticket early this morning. For the whole night, he couldn't fall asleep. And this morning, she went to the airport.

With Drake's cleverness, he must soon find that she wouldn't come and wouldn't stay there for too long. Angelo wished in her mind.

Here at the restaurant, Aiken looked at his watch. They would miss the flight if they didn't set out right now for only three hours to the departure time.

"Mr. Angelo may not come, sir."

It had been a whole night. Angelo would have been here long before if she wanted to come. So, she lied to Drake.

"Reschedule the flight. I won't go back today."

Drake stood up. There were some wrinkles on his suit after a whole night sitting.

Aiken knew what Drake wanted to do. He rescheduled their flight and checked Angelo's dwelling right now.

Drake went back to the hotel and changed.

Later, Aiken knocked at the door and hesitated to say, "Mr. Angelo left his dwelling with clues leaving."
