Chapter 884 - 209: Is It Good?

It rained outside, not heavy.

Angelo felt cold when she came out.

Winter was coming. Even light rain would make people clench their fists as if they could resist some coldness.

"Let me send you back."

An umbrella covered Angelo's head. She turned to look at Patrick, didn't know what expression she should give.

"No, thanks. My assistant is waiting for me."

The indifferent words even startled Angelo herself.

But she couldn't take them back.

Somehow, she smiled when Cindy came to cover a coat on her and asked, "Did you cry? Who bullied you?"

Cindy had been waiting in the car while arranging Angeline's schedule, so she didn't know what happened at the party just now.

Angelo didn't say anything but shook her head and got into the car.

After all, the dissolution of engagement was not a proud thing to show off.

However, the news got public the next day.

Angeline hit the headline again and stayed there for a long time.

Fans felt sorry for Angeline, scolding Drake as a womanizer.

With black circles around Angelo's swollen eyes, she posted a saying, only two words: thank you!

Although people had been discussing it, she was kind of delighted when she saw people scolding Drake.

She had buried the pain in her heart for a long time. Now there was finally a way to vent it, although tearing her wound and showing it to others would increase her pain.

"Angeline, you should have an interview about the new movie today, but Clarence just refused it and asked you to take a few days off…."

Cindy came in with breakfast and saw Angelo lying on the sofa, browsing the news. She was stunned when she saw Angelo's eyes, the swollen and dark circles. OMG! Angeline must have cried for a whole night.

She felt that there was something wrong with Angelo last night. When she saw the news, she understood why.

She walked to Angelo and took out the food from the bag.

Angelo put her phone aside and sat straight. "Okay. I can't have an interview like this anyway."

Cindy hesitated but finally kept her words inside when she saw Angelo started to eat.

Angeline will be sadder if she mentions Drake. She thought.

Angelo suddenly raised her head and said, "By the way, do you know Christina's schedule recently? I'm available now and can visit her."

She could have a chance to talk to Christina, but McCoy and Patrick ruined it.

"Why do you visit her?" asked Cindy angrily.

In her thoughts, Christina was the third wheel who ruined the engagement of Drake and Angeline.

Seeing Cindy hold prejudice toward Christina, Angelo could only tell her about Christina saving her in France.

Cindy was surprised after hearing the story and questioned in disbelief, "How's that possible? How could Christina save you?"

Angelo felt helpless, "Shouldn't you be concerned about my safety?"

"Yeah. Yeah. That's the point," Cindy suddenly reacted and became angrier, "That Absolon is indeed a pervert. Luckily, you're fine. Or I'll kill myself."

"So… go to check Christina's schedule now."

After that, Angelo lay back on the sofa and picked up her phone to see the netizens' crusade against Drake. On the table, the breakfast was half leaving there because she didn't eat much.

Cindy stayed and then made a call to ask about Christina's schedule.

***

"Thanks, Christina!"

After the shampoo advertising shoot, Christian's hair was wet all over. Her assistant usually brought her a towel now, but this time… she saw Angelo!?

"Here you are!" Angelo stood in front of her and handed her a towel.

Christina looked away but didn't see her assistant.

Tears kept dropping from her hair. She could only take over the towel from Angelo. While drying her hair, she asked, "What are you doing here?"

"I come to visit you."

Angelo stood in the shadows. Christina could hardly see her expression. She frowned, "Visit me?"

"Yeah. I heard you are shooting here. So here I am." Angelo sounded casual, but there was light in her eyes.

"Well, just say it. No camera or media here. I don't bother to act with you."

When the hair was half dry, Christina threw the towel into a dustbin and didn't even give Angelo a look.

At this point, her assistant suddenly ran over with two lunch boxes in her hands. "It's time for lunch, Christina."

"Where were you?"

"I went to get you…." While talking, the assistant lifted the lunch boxes guiltily.

Christina glanced over the boxes and thought they were different because they didn't look like the ones from a restaurant, but she didn't bother to think about it now.

"Don't go too far next time."

With that, she walked towards the lounge. The assistant looked at Angelo, who nodded at her and then hurried to follow up.

Christina ate half of the food in the lounge when she remembered to ask, "Where did you buy lunch?"

Diet control had been a compulsory part of most actresses' life. Christina had been strict with herself. There were always vegetables in her lunch box, although they tasted terrible. She insisted on doing that to keep in good shape.

However, today's food was different. There was calory sighed beside the meat, and it wouldn't increase her weight.

"It's…" The assistant hesitated to say it.

Angelo's voice sounded at the door, "It's Angeline's Special-making Lunch!"

Christina turned to look at Angelo, didn't know if she should swallow or spit the food in her mouth.

Angelo entered and smiled at Christina.

"Is it good?"

Finally, Christina swallowed the food, wiped her mouth, and asked her assistant, "Why didn't you tell me?"

She wouldn't eat a mouth if she knew Angelo brought her the food, even though it was delicious and low calorie.

"I…" The assistant didn't know how to explain and could only look at Angelo with anxiety full of her eyes.

Angelo made an eye to calm her down and then said to Christina, "I specially studied the recipe. If you like it, I'll send you a copy. It's delicious and nutritious."

"Most importantly, you won't get heavy!" added Angelo.

"Don't bother," refused Christina without thinking. "How much is it? I'll pay you ten times. Please don't make me sick again."
