44 Tournament Continues

After receiving the notification that the tournament will start soon, Lloyd left for the tournament with Derek and Leland.

As they reached, Lloyd could see the number of audience sitting was 3 times bigger than the previous day. As today were the most exciting battles among the top 10 of both clans, many didn't want to miss it.

Lloyd walked towards the waiting site of the participants and found out that they were the last to arrive.

Just then the sounds of drums were heard. The audience quieted down instantly when they heard it and stood up.

The drums indicated the arrival of the high-ranking members of the clan.

Two groups of people appeared before their eyes as the audience lightly bowed.

One of the group was led was Alder and behind give was the members of fire phoenix clan.

Another group was led by Rodney with ice phoenix members behind him.

They moved to their respected seats and occupied them.

After all the high-ranking member sat down and with their approval, Elder Wade came forward and started the tournament.

"now that top 10 was selected previously. It's time to select the top 5 among them.

They will be chosen by elimination battle. Each participant will draw a lot. The participants with the same number will be matched.

The winner will move forward to the next round.

Is that clear? Any doubts?" Elder Wade said.

Elder Wade gave the participants some time to think. After seeing that no one had any question, Elder Wade turned back and shouted, "bring the lots"

Hearing that two men came with a box with a hole big enough for a hand to enter.

"Inside this box, there are 10 balls with numbers on it ranging from 1 to 5. pick one of the ball" Elder Wade as he showed the box.

Hearing Elder Wade, the participants came forwards and started to pick a lot.

Lloyd was also among them as he put his hand and picked a ball. As he looked at the number on it, he saw '4' on it.

As Elder Wade saw that all the participants picked a ball, he turned towards them and said, "now that all have picked a ball. the participants with number 1 on their ball, come to the stage and start the battle"

Hearing that two of the participant came forward and walked to the stage.

One of them was Leland and another was an ice phoenix clan member.

"GO!! Leland" Derek standing beside Lloyd shouted.

From hearing the shouts of the audience from behind, Lloyd came to know that the ice phoenix member who will be battling Leland was called Orel Felix.

Leland and Orel were standing on the stage and looking at each other.

"young master Leland, I won't go easy on you," Orel said as he tied his fist.

Orel was considered as a genius in cultivation. If he was in any other clan, they could have treated him differently and poured all their resources to him. Because of the presence of Leland and Malcer, he was neglected. If he could prove himself in the tournament, then the clan would take him seriously.

"I will also do my best," Leland said to Orel.

"start the match" Elder Wade signaled both Leland and Orel.

Leland and Orel rushed towards each other on hearing Elder Wade.

Leland had withdrawn a short sword which perfectly matched his small figure while Orel had a heavy sword. Both clashed against each other and retreated.

They were on same cultivation level but unlike Leland, Orel was 20 years old. From their age, one could easily find that Leland was much more talented than Orel.

Seeing that he couldn't gain any advance, Orel started using his bloodline as his sword released freezing aura and attacked.

Leland didn't give Orel any chance to touch as he initiated a weird footwork as he easily dodged Orel's attacks.

"Leland truly a genius. Even though his opponent is at same cultivation as him and activated his bloodline power, Orel couldn't even touch Leland and what with that weird footwork?" an Elder sitting among the fire phoenix clan asked.

"clan master, do you know what is that movement skill?" another elder who was sitting near Alder asked.

"I don't know but it is said to be given to Leland by Esvele," Alder said.
