A young man barged into her room.

The young man has chestnut brown hair, eyes as red as ruby, strong facial features with thin lips and a perfectly sculpted body.

"Prince Ethan." muttered Liz to herself.

Prince Ethan is princess Eleanor's elder brother.

According to the novel the siblings were very distant to each other.

They treated each other like they were strangers who are forced to live under a roof.

The reason?

It was mostly due to Eleanor's snobbish character.

Ethan was a prince who thought for the citizens of Margonia whereas Eleanor looked down on them.

This significant difference of opinion drifted the two siblings apart.

Nonetheless, they were tied together by blood.

When Ethan learned that his sister had been murdered by his brother-in-law, he fought with him to the bitter end to avenge his sister and not his kingdom.

His haste and emotional turmoil had ultimately delivered him to the sword.

In the end, blood indeed was thicker than water.

Lost in her thoughts Liz snapped out of her daze when Ethan asked her in a displeased voice and with a fiery look whether it was true that she spent a night with Ares in an inn.

Thereupon, Liz recounted what exactly happened that day.

"What a good-for-nothing future brother-in-law. He can not even choose an intact carriage for my precious baby sister." Ethan scoffed.

Liz did not know what to say.

Should she go with the flow, meaning whether she should also start to gossip about Ares with her brother, because now would be the perfect opportunity to do so or should she rather watch her own tongue?

"Anyway, if something happens between you two do not hesitate to tell your big brother. Big brother then will gouge out his eyes!" Ethan said with a murderous look.

Liz looked at her brother in daze.

'How could he be so excessive?'

Not long after Liz laughed burst into laughter until she felt tears dropping from her eyes.

Ethan was just too much for her.

Confused Ethan stared at his little sister, wondering what there is to laugh about.

His brain was rattling at full speed to solve this riddle, in vain.

Although he was disappointed that he could not determine the exact reason for Eleanor's good mood, at least he knew that he had brought on that laughter.

This alone boosted his self – confidence, which was reflected in his proud grin.

However, his facial expression instantly turned serious again.

"But you can not tell this mom and dad. These old fogies are captivated by him and would not hesitate to exchange me for him as their son if they could." he said in a pissed voice.

"Don't worry big brother this will be our secret." Liz flashed a smile to him.

Her smile melted his heart and made him forget the last terrible weeks he'd spent at the front.

Snapping out of his daze he said with a throaty voice:

"Then I will retire now, you must be tired after all."

He excused himself and left her bedchamber.

Liz heaved a sigh of relief and settled into her bed.

So far, no one suspects that she's not the real Eleanor.

But how long can she keep playing this role?

A few moments later, she was already in deep sleep.

It was pitch black and deathly quiet.

Liz could not badge an inch.

It was like as if she was trapped inside her body.

A golden silhouette of a young woman appeared in front of her.

Unfazed Liz stared at the golden silhouette with a frown.

Then the golden silhouette started to speak:

"Liz don't be fooled by your past. The devil you have in mind may have shed his skin. The true devil will soon reveal himself."

"Who are you?" Liz asked with a bewildered expression.

"I am just a lost soul. My mere existence is of no importance. Nevertheless, you should take my advice to heart. Distrust and haste are the root of misunderstandings. Don't let yourself be misled."

Everything was so confusing and incredulous for Liz.

'What is she talking about?!'

But before she could ask, the strange figure disappeared and she woke up.

At the king's study room.

"Is this what you said the truth?" the king asked Ethan with a nervous look.

"Yes father, without a doubt I vow to my honour." Ethan said with a firm voice.

Uneasiness was displayed at the king's face.

"If that what you said is true, then the long war against Demonia is the least we have to worry about now." the king said in a voice filled with worries.

"Indeed father, only 'they' can help us out of this situation." Ethan responded with a heavy heart.
