Chapter 565 - The Scum Is A Miser

Everyone who saw the disciples are covered in dirt and are hiding behind the trees. "…" are they actually children playing hide-and-seek in the dirt and not in a competition? They thought. But, they immediately shook their heads as they watched with much excitement as Wu Lian, Qi Lan, Wen Yan, Zhu Xi and Su Mi flew towards the demons.

Wu Lian flew lower and everyone felt their hearts are in their throats when they saw that the demons leaped, trying to catch Wu Lian's feet and drag him down for them to eat him as their dinner. But, Qi Lan, Wen Yan, Zhu Xi and Su Mi are attacking the demons from the distance. The demons are already enraged since they can't catch Wu Lian but the others are also attacking them. Thus, they became fiercer with their attacks.

Wu Lian knows that the demons have taken the bait and he immediately flew back with the others. The four also are watching his back and are fending off the demons chasing him from behind and they threw a talisman after another, which made the audience's hearts itch and ache at the same time.

The Xinfaxian Sect really has big resources just looking at them lavishly use the talismans. This made the other participants look like a miser compared to them. The faces of the other sect leaders twitched, especially Sun Yu's face.

But, nobody said anything since the demons are now approaching the pit Fei Yinzi's and Chen Wu's group made. As soon as the demons neared it, Wu Lian, Qi Lan, Wen Yan, Zhu Xi and Su Mi made a beautiful somersault in the air and flew backwards, away from the pit. Fei Yinzi, Su Yi, Chen Wu, Chen Su, Chen Su, Chen Yu, Ling Yun, He Shun and Qian Meng have already left to escape outside the range.

Then, everyone heard an earth-shaking roar and almost got deafened by the loud noise! "AH!" they exclaimed and covered their ears as they watched with widened eyes the small pit that they dug earlier became a large pit that was scorched. "What was that?!" they all exclaimed in shock.

"It should be Cui Xiang's device since the participants can't use Exploding Pills in this stage." Someone guessed after they remembered the bag that Su Yi was holding earlier.

"Oh, damn! The Xinfaxian Sect is really dangerous… ehem, strong!" the audience said.

Xie Lan's brow twitched but he kept his smile on his face, which just made the other sect leaders feel that they really want to beat him up! Xie Lan… he is really good in pulling the others' envy and hate towards him. It is a miracle that he managed to stay alive until now.

"See? Cui Xiao's Exploding Bags are really very good!" Su Yi laughed as they all returned to look at the demons that died. "And they are less risky to hold than Cheng-shishu's Exploding Pills!" he added.

The Xinfaxian Sect and Youxiwang Sect disciples nodded in agreement.

"What should we do with the points?" they looked at each other. "Did the rules say something about this?" they added.

Just as their voices fell, they felt their Cleansing Stone became hot. They took it out and saw that the rules were updated, saying that the participants that conspired to kill the demons can appoint a leader and be the one to distribute the points among their members.

The participants who saw the word 'conspired' and suddenly felt some guilt. "…" why do we feel like accomplices that committed a crime? They thought and wryly smiled.

"Chen Wu-ge. You are the eldest so you can decide." Fei Yinzi suggested.

The others nodded in agreement. They don't have a problem with Chen Wu as the leader.

"Five of us in the Xinfaxian Sect, four in the Youxiwang Sect, Ling Yun, He Shun, Qi Lan-ge, Qian Meng and Qian Jue… there would be fourteen of us." Chen Wu spoke. "There are currently twenty demons in the pit." He said as he looked at the number that projected by the Cleansing Stone, indicating the number of the demons that they killed and would be divided between them.

"We don't need the points." Wu Lian suddenly spoke.

Chen Wu looked at him.

"We have already killed some demons on the way. And, you are the ones who made the pit." Wu Lian explained.

"I agree." Qian Jue answered.

"Same." Qi Lan nodded.

"Same here." Wen Yan, Zhu Xi and Su Mi said.

"But, that still leaves eight of us. The points are twenty. Even if we take two points each, there would still be remaining four points." Chen Wu said.

"Didn't the Exploding Bags come from Cui Xiao?" Ling Yun asked.

Su Yi's eyes brightened. "That's right. Then, let's give the remaining four points to her?" he suggested.

"We also received magic pills and potions from Cui Xiang-jie." Qian Meng spoke.

He Shun shyly nodded in agreement and blushed. "I want to give points to Cui Xiang-jie, too." He said.

"Then, let's give the remaining four points to Cui Xiang and Cui Xiao, with two each for them." Chen Wu decided. "But, your points are your own." He looked at Qian Jue who wanted to add something, probably wanted to suggest that his points should go to Cui Xiang, too, for treating his injuries yesterday.

As expected, Qian Jue really wanted to say that but he shut up when he saw Chen Wu's sharp glare. He felt both gratified and relieved since the Youxiwang Sect really lives up to their name as being benevolent. Also, he is actually worried that he and Qian Meng wouldn't have enough points when the first elimination period. Thus, he sincerely feel happy that he, nor Qian Meng, need to give their points.

Fei Yinzi also agrees. Then, they rested for a while. Just when they are about to resume hunting demons, they saw Tang Li flying towards them, looking so anxious while Li Yan followed behind him and had a serious face. They sent Tang Li and Li Yan, along with Jing Xu and Jing De, to spy on the other participants. This was Su Yi's idea. 

But, it seems that some things happened. Everyone's expressions changed.

"What is it?" Wen Yan asked.

"The Shanliangde Sect has arrived!" Tang Li answered.

Everyone's brows raised in surprise. The Shanliangde Sect obviously doesn't want to ally with them since they wanted for their sect to be at the top. When they heard what Tang Li said, they thought that the Shanliangde Sect has waged war and finally couldn't stand them.

But, they aren't shallow to think like this. As expected, they heard Tang Li continued.

"They brought an injured person." Tang Li spoke in an urgent voice. "He is poisoned." He told them.

Just as they are about to say that Cui Xiang might be able to cure the poison, Tang Li finally finished his sentences.

"And he said that this malicious rogue cultivator Ke Lu might be an enemy who is not from our land!" Tang Li looked at them.

Everyone was stunned. What?! Someone not from our land? And also an enemy? They thought and looked at each other.

"This Ke Lu should be the one who attacked Qian Meng and Qian Jue?" Li Yan spoke and looked at the Qian brothers.

"He should be." Qian Jue answered with a cold expression.

"He also attacked others?!" Qian Meng clenched his fists.

"Yes. Lu Xiu said that his shixiong Ning Zhe almost died." Li Yan told them. "Jing Xu and Jing De also returned, and brought two more participants – one disciple and one rogue cultivator, who were also injured by Ke Lu." He added.

Their expressions turned grim. "Let's go back to the base first and plan with everyone what should we do." Chen Wu said.

"Yes!" they answered and immediately left. They left in a hurry that they didn't notice the two figures up the tree including another object that is floating.

Xiao Bao and xiao Ling coolly descended on the ground and Bai Tan floated with them. They watched the disciples flew back to their base.

"Tch. Party pooper." Xiao Ling clicked his tongue as he glared at the disciples disappearing from their sight.

Xiao Bao didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "We might want to arrest that Ke Lu but he is still protected by the rules. So, only the ones who are similarly protected by the rules can deal with him." he explained to xiao Ling.

"I am not an idiot to not know that!" Xiao Ling glared at him.

Xiao Bao sucked in a sharp breath when he saw that sexy glare of xiao Ling. He took a deep breath to calm himself. "Yes. You are not an idiot. I am." He spoke.

Bai Tan and the audience who are watching. "…" can you please finally stop feeding us dog food?! They thought.

"Hmph." Xiao Ling scoffed and looked away. But, there is a satisfied smile on his lips. "But, you are right. Only the participants can deal with him who is also a participant." He said as he looked at the sky. "Let's see what these participants got in store for us later." He smiled.

Xiao Bao nodded, also waiting to see how will Fei Yinzi and the others deal with Ke Lu.
