Chapter 570 - The Scum Is Desperate

"Hah!" Ling Yun yelled as he threw talismans on Ke Lu who frowned and moved to the side.

But, who knew that the talismans moved along with the wind that was created by his movements thus they followed him and obstruct his view? That's not all, since the talismans also –

"BAM! POP!" the talismans exploded on Ke Lu's chest, neck and right on his face!

"Pft!" the audience laughed when they saw that Ke Lu's face turned black literally.

But, their laughter got caught in their throats when they saw that Ke Lu's eyes are red and some skin of his was burnt to crisp and fell, revealing his red flesh. Some almost vomited in disgust at the sight.

Ke Lu momentarily stopped because of pain but not long after he advanced, and his attacks became fiercer. Fei Yinzi pushed Ling Yun who dodged to the side and blocked Ke Lu's attack. Fei Yinzi felt his arms became numb. He knows he is weaker than Wu Lian and Chen Wu but his training under Fei Yin's hands, especially the foundation laid by Cheng Sheng, isn't for naught.

Fei Yinzi regulated his qi to remove the numbness in his arms. He raised his hands, raising their swords before he raised his leg and sent a kick to Ke Lu's abdomen!

"Puh!" Ke Lu spewed a mouthful of blood as his body flew and hit the wall with a loud bang.

Fei Yinzi was surprised that his kick was strong. But, he also thought that Ke Lu was already exhausted by the others earlier and should be reaching his limit. Thus, his kick looked strong just now.

"Are you alright?" he turned to ask Ling Yun.

"Yes." Ling Yun nodded and looked slightly pale. Earlier, although he dodged, he wasn't fast enough. If not for Fei Yinzi pushing him and also blocking the attack, he guessed he would've lost a limb earlier. He patted his chest to shake off the lingering fright.

Fei Yinzi looked at Ke Lu. "You attacked the other participants and justified it as within the rules. Now, we attacked you. We can also justify it as this, right?" he asked.

Ke Lu didn't answer.

"I know that you are thinking that the strong prey on the weak. We might be weaker than you but if all of us united, then we will be stronger than you." Fei Yinzi continued. "You preyed on the other participants and attacked them individually since you know that two of them, like the remaining two participants, can overwhelm you." He explained.

"What do you want to say?" Ke Lu asked.

"Withdraw from the competition." Fei Yinzi answered.

"Hahahaha!" Ke Lu laughed, only to cough out blood as his back leaned on the wall. "As if!" he said and his eyes narrowed. He took out a dagger and lunged at Ling Yun who looked weaker than Fei Yinzi.

Indeed, Ling Yun is weaker than Fei Yinzi now after Fei Yinzi trained under Fei Yin's hands. Ling Yun's eyes widened and Fei Yinzi immediately moved. The others were taken aback but they reacted fast and flew towards the two to help.

But, Ke Lu seemed to have thrown everything away as he rushed towards at Ling Yun with inhumane speed and his eyes looked crazed. He had gone insane!

"Ling Yun!" Fei Yinzi called, knowing that he won't make it in time. He watched in horror as Ke Lu's dagger descend on Ling Yun.

"Damn it. They really do everything that they please! They even forgot us!" everyone heard a voice spoke with an impatient tone.

Everyone, including Ke Lu, was startled. But, the owner of the voice doesn't even need that half a beat to block Ke Lu.

"BANG!" everyone saw something flashed before their eyes and the next moment, they heard a loud bang, followed by the wall cracking.

They all stopped and turned to look at the cloud of dust formed after Ke Lu's body hit the wall for the second time. And this time, it was stronger by fourfold. Then, their gazes fell on a cold-looking youth standing where Ke Lu had been standing just now.

"… xiao Bao?" Fei Yinzi muttered when he recognized that face that lost its baby fats.

Xiao Bao turned and sharply glared at Fei Yinzi. Fei Yinzi felt a chill when he recalled Fei Yin's cold gaze and he shut up.

"Why is it him again?" the impatient voice they heard earlier that spoke was heard again. But, it wasn't coming from xiao Bao.

"Xiao Ling." Xiao Bao called, and his cold expression thawed as he looked up at the sky.

Everyone followed his gaze and saw the Shapeshifting Blanket descending along with another figure. "…" wait… why is this scrunched up face looked very, very familiar?! They thought as they turned to look at Chen Wu and Chen Su whose faces turned stiff as they also stared at xiao Ling who had descended on the ground while patting off the non-existent dust from his clothes.

Chen Wu and Chen Su. "…" if they just don't know that it is impossible for Cheng Sheng to appear here, they would blurt out 'little uncle', thinking that this is Cheng Sheng who disguised himself as a youth like them. But, they also noticed that the face looked different. It was just the expression that is impeccably familiar to them, making them think that xiao Ling is Cheng Sheng.

"Hii!" Ling Yun gasped and hid behind Fei Yinzi when he saw xiao Ling is glaring at him.

"Bai Tan!" they heard xiao Bao called and he and xiao Ling immediately flew.

Yet, Bai Tan has always secretly watching so he saw Ke Lu fled and flew after Ke Lu. So, everyone saw that Bai Tan has already left. The disciples plus two rogue cultivators looked at each other and flew after xiao Bao and xiao Ling.

As soon as they flew past the wall of rock, they saw two flashes of light chasing two figures in the distance – one white and one black. The white one is Bai Tan and the black one is Ke Lu.

"Wait! Is Ke Lu going towards our base?!" Jing De exclaimed when he noticed it.

Everyone's expressions changed and they flew faster. Although they have left Tang Li, Li Yan, He Shun and Wen Wen to accompany Cui Xiang and Cui Xiao, they know that Ke Lu should never be underestimated even if he is like a spent arrow now. "Eh? They turned to swords…" Qian Meng muttered when he saw that xiao Bao and xiao Ling disappeared but the swords they were boarding on flew faster.

"Yes!" they nodded in understanding and flew faster, trying to catch up with xiao Bao and xiao Ling.

They all immediately turned and saw that the hill where the base was located exploded!
