Chapter 574 - The Scum Is A Simpleton

Inside the space, the participants are battling against the demons to farm points and reach the point threshold for the first elimination period. Now that Ke Lu was gone, they can fight against the demons without worrying that they might suddenly get stabbed in their backs.

"Wen Wen! Su Yu!" Wen Yan shouted as he, Zhu Xi, Su Mi and Fei Yinzi retreated out of the range of Wen Wen's talisman formation.

"Yes!" Wen Wen and Su Yu answered as they started to activate the talismans and spells in the surroundings respectively.

"Wu-ge! Lian-ge!" Fei Yinzi called the Youxiwang Sect disciples that are entangling with the demons in the vicinity of Wen Wen's talisman formation and Su Yu's spell traps placed around the trees and ground.

"Coming!" Chen Wu answered as Wu Lian picked up Chen Su who still haven't reacted yet while Chen Wu picked up the dazed Chen Yu who was still immersed from his rhythm while fighting the demons.

Just as Chen Wu, Wu Lian, Chen Su and Chen Yu left, a series of explosions were heard. The tip of Chen Su's clothes was almost burnt had he not pulled it immediately away from the fire.

"Whew!" everyone sharply inhaled as they watched the burnt ground and the still burning trees.

Su Yu immediately casted a spell and the fire around them disappeared, making the wind blow coolly once again.

"How many points have we earned?" Chen Wu asked as they all gathered.

"That was seventy points." Fei Yinzi answered as he looked at his Cleansing Stone.

"There are ten of us, so we'll get seven points each." Chen Yu spoke.

"Yes. Adding our individual points just now, we have earned nearly a hundred points today." Wu Lian said.

"You are right." Chen Wu agreed.

"Who are now in the lead?" Zhu Xi asked.

"It is still Fei Luo, followed by Xi Bing. But, Wu Tie and Jin Yu overtook Fei Huo, Xi He, Sun Yan and Sun Ri." Fei Yinzi answered.

"Those two are sick!" Zhu Xi exclaimed, referring to Wu Tie and Jin Yu.

"But, if Wu Tie overtook Xi He…" Wen Yan muttered.

Everyone immediately understood. As expected, not long later and they heard Xi He's voice roaring and cursing from somewhere.

"The Shanliangde Sect must be nearby." Su Mi spoke. "Two tigers can't occupy the same mountain. Let's go find another area." She said.

"Su Mi-shijie, the 'tigers and mountain'…" Chen Su spoke.

"En. It is from Cheng-shishu." Su Mi answered. "It meant that two powerful individuals shouldn't be in the same area for they will definitely fight over the territory." She explained.

Everyone, especially Fei Yinzi. "…" tigers and mountains can be expressed like this? They thought.

The audience felt both awe and amusement. They learned something new again. Cheng Sheng is truly creative not just with things but also in literature.

"Aio… we still can't catch up with them, huh?" Jing De sighed, feeling disappointed.

"It is still early in the competition. Leave the lead to them." Jing Xu said. "We can overturn things later." He told him.

"You sure? What we have, they also have. If we can buy magic pills from the Xinfaxian Sect, they also can buy." Jing De said.

Jing Xu fell silent. He, Jing De, Tang Li, Li Yan, Qian Jue, Qian Meng, Qi Lan, He Shun and Ling Yun separated this time from the Xinfaxian Sect and Youxiwang Sect. It is not that their alliance have crumbled, but that it was too crowded.

"Really?! That's great!" Jing De sighed in relief and grinned.

Jing Xu stared at him. … but it also isn't bad to have a younger brother like him. He thought before he patted Jing De's head. "Let's continue." He said.

"En!" Jing De nodded as they looked for the next nest of demons.

From now on, Jing Xu will pat Jing De on the head instead of hitting him, so that his younger brother will be less stupid in the future.

"Damn! Wu Tie and Jin Yu are so sick!" Li Yan hissed after he saw that Wu Tie and Jin Yu overtook Xi He and Fei Huo in the leading board. Of course, they also heard Xi He's roar and curses.

The two of them then looked at their maps to look for another group of demons to kill.

"Ge. Are you tired?" Qian Meng asked Qian Jue as he handed him water.

"No." Qian Jue answered. "Thank you." He said as he received the drink and immediately gulped down mouthfuls of water. Then, he sighed in satisfaction.

"Ge. Your internal injuries shouldn't have fully healed yet, right?" Qian Meng asked as he worriedly looked at Qian Jue. "Don't overexert yourself. I am fine if I will be eliminated. I know my strengths. So, ge, you don't have to work hard just to save me from being eliminated –  wah!" he exclaimed when he suddenly lost his balance after he stepped on a pebble and tripped. 

He closed his eyes, ready to fall in the water and get soaked but the cool sensation of the water didn't arrive. He opened his eyes and saw Qian Jue's face very close to his. He could even clearly see the fine, thick brows and long and thick eyelashes of Qian Jue.

"Ge…" he subconsciously called as he stared at the other's deep eyes.

Qian Jue was holding the back of Qian Meng. He grunted when he felt his left arm ached.

Qian Meng's eyes widened and he snapped out of his daze. "Ge!" he cried in alarm and wanted to stand on his own feet.

But, because he was panicking, his feet tripped Qian Jue's leg. Qian Jue's eyes widened as he lost his balance and both of them fell on the water with a loud splash.

"Hm?" Ling Yun who was nearby turned and followed the sound. "A river!" he exclaimed and came out of the bushes, only to see two people emerged from the water, completely soaked. "… what are you two doing?" he asked as he looked at them with a blank gaze.

Qian Meng's face is red despite being soaked in a cold water while Qian Jue's face is blank. Qian Jue rose and pulled Qian Meng up.

"It was too hot." Qian Jue just said as he placed the dazed Qian Meng on the ground.

"… so you wanted to bathe, with clothes on?" Ling Yun asked.

They can close their Cleansing Stones if they wanted to bathe, of course. But, he saw that the Qian brothers' Cleansing Stones are currently activated.

Seeing Qian Jue's furrowed brows, Ling Yun stopped puncturing his lie. "I've found some rabbits. Come and help me wash them and I'll share them with you!" he told them.

Qian Meng finally snapped out of his daze. But, the redness on his face still remained, for he can still feel the soft sensation on his lips when he and Qian Jue fell on the water earlier.. Under the clear water, he saw that their lips stuck to each other.
