Chapter 230 - The Scum Is A Hypocrite

"What is that look for? Why are you looking at me?" Sun Yi asked when he saw Kang Ce was staring at him and Feng Mo.

"Nothing." Kang Ce answered as he looked away.

How can Sun Yi, a sly person, not know what Kang Ce was thinking? "Your gaze is full of suspicion and is accusing. Do you want to accuse me and Feng-shidi of taking advantage of the Shanliangde Sect's situation to make them owe us?" he asked.

Kang Ce didn't answer, but the answer is already obvious. Jing Kang fell silent, while Xi Ming and Gong Xian frowned at Kang Ce. Meanwhile, Xi Xing's face that already turned its color after taking medicines became pale again after he heard what Sun Yi said.

"Ge – " he called Xi Ming, anxiety is on his eyes.

Xi Ming smiled at him as he held Xi Xing's hand to assure him. "Don't worry. It is what we owe second young master Sun and young master Feng. There's no need to feel shameful or whatnot." He said and turned to Kang Ce who frowned.

Sun Yi shrugged. "So what if that's what we aim? It is as eldest young master Xi said. They really owe us." He said. "Are the potions and magic pills we gave are just mere illusions? Did their condition not turn better?" he asked before he smiled at Kang Ce. "Compared to us who admit our deeds, young master Kang is such a hypocrite." He said. "You want to benefit from the others' fruit of labor – " he glanced at Jing Kang and Feng Mo, and the jar in Jing Kang's hands. " – yet your mouth speaks otherwise, making yourself looked forced to do such thing."

Kang Ce's face immediately turned green. However, he swallowed a bellyful anger since that's what the truth, anyways. So what if he was exposed? Would they dare waste their energy to deal with him, get rid of him, instead of preserving it for the upcoming battles they might face?

Ha. He snorted and just sat on the side to rest, recovering his strength. No one spoke again after that, since they really do have to preserve their energy, even from just wasting their breath talking.

Sun Yi sat beside Feng Mo. "After we were all separated from each other, I met Kang Ce and Gong Xian. We decided to work together, and then we encountered our impostors again and then killed them in the end." He said. "Then, after we dealt with them, Xi Ming and Xi Xing ran to us." He added and looked at the Shanliangde Sect who were resting on the side.

Feng Mo nodded. "I ran into Jing Kang after we were all separated. Then, we encountered those fireballs. They are endless, so Jing Kang decided to keep them inside his jar." He said and pointed the jar Jing Kang was holding. "And then, we met your group of five."

"Has anyone seen my cousins?" Jing Kang asked them. He's referring to Jing Cheng, Jing Bai and Jing Hei. "And Qian Lin?" he added.

They all shook their head. Jing Kang sighed, already expecting their answer.

"How about Chen-shixiong, Li-shixiong, Cheng-shidi and da shixiong?" Feng Mo asked.

"Let's hope they're all together, too, like us." Sun Yi said before he stood and stretched his limbs. "Let's go?" he asked.

They all looked at each other, their gazes talking. They could spare a minute or two resting, but they can't spare a long time, since the Zhongyang is waiting for their return.

"Go." they answered and stood.

Chen Han heavily sighed while Li tian patted his back in comfort since they haven't seen even a shadow of Cheng Sheng. "Where do you think could he has gone to?" Chen Han asked Li Tian.

Li Tian shook his head. "If it is Cheng-shidi, no one would know the way he thinks." He answered.

Chen Han's shoulders sank in disappointment. Not only had he missed his younger brother, but he doesn't even have an iota of information what could be his younger brother's state right now, nor where he is and what he is doing.

Although they have seen the traces of Cheng Sheng before by the bonfire, but every second a situation could change. Thus, Chen Han is anxious for Cheng Sheng's well-being. "Do you think he would be with Fei Yin?" he asked.

Li Tian smiled. "Da shixiong would never apart with Cheng-shidi even just an arm's width." He said. "Da shixiong would definitely be with Cheng-shidi, and so he will definitely protect him." he told Chen Han.

Chen Han felt reassured after he heard what Li Tian said. He sighed, feeling relieved and then held Li Tian's hand which made the other blush. "I'll definitely protect you, too, Ah Tian." He told him.

Li Tian's heart skipped a beat and he looked away. "I – I know…" he said. Suddenly, he felt something cold and wet dropped on the back of his palm. "Hm?" he instinctively looked up, only to freeze in shock and horror when he saw a creature.

Chen Han felt Li Tian stiffened and he turned, only to see his wife's pale face in horror. He then knew that something is wrong, thus he immediately pulled Li Tian back and covered Li Tian's mouth to prevent him from speaking. Fortunately, Li Tian is a rational person and he doesn't scream when faced with dangerous situations, except when he was faced with his deep fear.

Chen Han could feel Li Tian is trembling and he faced where Li Tian was looking at before. Then, his body stiffened when he saw it was a creature – a large, dark and hairy creature covered in slime.
