Chapter 248 - The Scum Is Mindful

Cheng Sheng sharply turned to him. 

"It can't be." Yu Sheng said and glanced at the Cleansing Stone. "It is functioning well. If not, how can I and Cheng Sheng return?" he asked. 

"… you're right." Pai Lie spoke. 

"Then… why…" You Rou asked as she looked at the others. 

Earlier, Cheng Sheng and Yu Sheng came out of the Cleansing Stone. They were supposed to celebrate, at the same time capture Yu Sheng. However, Cheng Sheng said that Yu Sheng was under a spell of the cave. Pai Lie immediately spoke. "Cheng Sheng. Everything has gone to a strange turn recently. Maybe something happened to Fei Yin, and we can only hope he is safe." He told him. 

"But – " Cheng Sheng clenched his fists. He had thought he would lose Fei Yin once, when he kicked him to the Spring of Life. However, Yu Sheng's task failed and his objective was rendered useless, so he, Cheng Sheng, lived. 

Fan Wen and the others saw Cheng Sheng's pained expression. They have yet to tell him about Chen Han and the others' going to Youxiwang Sect, but they can't right now. 

Yu Sheng also saw Cheng Sheng's expression. Yu Sheng's discerning gaze is more capable than anyone present, and so he not only seen Cheng Sheng's agitated expression, and feelings, but he could also see the agitated qi in Cheng Sheng's body.

Cheng Sheng's eyes widened. "Impossible!" he said. "Fei Yin don't know how to use a spell!" he told him.
