Chapter 419 - The Scum Is A Bug

Even though Wu Ran was being overpowered by Zheng Fu Gong, Jing Rui, Xie Lan, Chen Jing and Qian Tian, but it seems like his power is inexhaustible. Instead, it was Zheng Fu Gong, Jing Rui, Xie Lan, Chen Jing and Qian Tian who were slowly being exhausted as the battle drags on.

Lei Ling's heart sank. "Do you think… his soul... was gravely injured, too?" he asked. This is the only reason he could think for Cheng Sheng not wakening, and the reason why his cultivation also dropped. 

You Rou started. "That's right." she muttered. "He's physically fine. But, spiritually…" she looked at Cheng Sheng's face. Then, her eyes reddened. "Cheng-shixiong… when will you return?" she asked as she lowered her head. 

Lei Ling looked at her, then he turned to look at Fei Yin. Da shixiong, too… he thought. But, unlike Cheng-shixiong, da shixiong wouldn't return… he felt something was blocking his throat and his tears fell. If they would also lose Cheng Sheng… he shook his head, feeling horrified as to what might happen.

He sighed, then looked at the battlefield below where Wu Ran is surrounded in all directions, but still fighting back, using all of his power just to keep Zheng Fu Gong, Jing Rui, Pai Lie, Xie Lan, Chen Jing and Qian Tian at bay. Their faces are filled with exhaustion from fighting for three days straight. Everyone is tired, as not only their power is consumed but also spirit. 

He retracted his gaze and looked at Cheng Sheng. Then, he rose from his seat. He made a decision. 

Ten Thousand Dimensions. 

"Where is the Devourer?" a man wearing a long, white robe with wide sleeves, asked. His voice is deep and magnetic, but his tone is indifferent. His long, untied silver hair cascaded on his back. His silver pupils are watching the battlefield in a small screen with his hands on his back. Like his voice, his expression is indifferent. 

From somewhere, a mechanical, cold voice spoke. "Battling against Bai Shen in the god world to kill and steal Bai Shen's power, and to devour the god world, since it noticed that my lord has Cheng Sheng's divine power." It answered. 

"Hmph." The man scoffed. 

"Will Bai Shen defeat him – " the voice spoke again. " – my lord?" it asked. 

The man's eyes flickered and he raised his head from the screen and gaze somewhere in the white space. "Have I gone for too long that you learned how to care – " he spoke. " – system (xi tong)?" he sharply asked. 

"I don't feel emotions, my lord." The system spoke. "I apologize, Lord Yin." It said. 

Lord Yin didn't answer and resumed watching the battle. Meanwhile, the system watched Yin and secretly sighed. Yin is Fei Yin. But, when he was forcefully returned to the Ten Thousand Dimensions, there has a repercussion. 

Yes. He was forced out of the xianxia world, because the system, wearing a disguise of 'Xi Tong', noticed that Yin has become too deep in his character of Fei Yin. So, he told Cheng Sheng about the Devourer and about Yin, who, the longer stayed in the xianxia world, the more he'll hesitate to leave and would weaken. Thus, Cheng Sheng agreed on Xi Tong's plan on the premise that Fei Yin will return. 

Xi Tong agreed, since he knows that after Yin defeat the Devourer, with Yin's feelings towards Cheng Sheng, Yin would definitely choose to stay in the xianxia world to accompany Cheng Sheng until Cheng Sheng dies before Yin returns to the Ten Thousand Dimensions. The flow of time in the Ten Thousand Dimensions is slower compared to the xianxia world. So, a hundred years in the xianxia world is just a blink of an eye in the Ten Thousand Dimensions, so Xi Tong isn't worried that Yin wouldn't return to the Ten Thousand Dimensions after accompanying Cheng Sheng for a lifetime. 

But, even if he is the best system, he can still err. Although he already expected that there will be a repercussion in forcing Yin to return, he didn't expect it would be Yin's feelings that will be affected. Although he remembers loving Cheng Sheng, but he can't feel it now. 

Thus, Xi Tong is very worried. This is all this damn bug's fault! "My lord." He called to Yin when he saw that Bai Shen started to react slower from the Devourer's attacks. 

"Prepare for a transfer. Let's use this chance to kill this bug." Yin spoke. 

"Yes." Xi Tong answered and brought up some codes. 

While Xi Tong is preparing, Yin resumed watching the xianxia world through a small screen. Then, he saw what is happening on the Millennium Ship. "Xi Tong." He called. 

"Yes, my lord?" Xi Tong answered. "My lord?" he called when he didn't hear Yin respond. 

"It's nothing." Yin answered and retracted his gaze. He also closed the screen, making the sight of the deck of the Millennium Ship disappear. "Let's go." He spoke. 

Xi Tong who also saw the scene in the Millennium Ship didn't say anything. But, secretly, he felt relieved. "Yes." He said and activated the transfer function. 

It seems that Yin isn't completely emotionless. There is still hope. 

Huilong Continent, Southmost Region. 

Lei Ling and You Rou wiped their tears. You Rou remembered she still has to refine new batches of medicines, especially for Zheng Fu Gong, Jing Rui, Xie Lan, Chen Jing and Qian Tian who are not giving Wu Ran any rest to consume both his power and energy, and that could be the same for them. Although there are other righteous cultivators around, but none of them can withstand even just one attack of Wu Ran, and none of them are also able to dodge Wu Ran's attack. 

So, the task of keeping Wu Ran occupied is left to them, while the righteous cultivators that remained do their best not to distract them. Even just a moment of distraction can be a fatal flaw, despite there are others. Who knows when will Wu Ran notice their distraction and use that opportunity to kill them?
