"The Righteous Alliance…" they all muttered as they looked at each other. Their gazes are talking.
Sun Rong has already left after telling them 'I don't know anything anymore'. Of course, they didn't stop him. Even if they all would beat him up, they know that he definitely wouldn't spill the beans, if there really were left.
"Why is it the Righteous Alliance?" they asked. Then, their gazes fell on Cheng Sheng who was sleeping on the couch.
They know that what Sun Rong said is right. Cheng Sheng definitely would tell Sun Rong the only 'safe' information. By 'safe', the information that Sun Rong can tell them. So that's why they didn't hold Sun Rong to stay and wring more information from him, since Sun Rong definitely doesn't know anything more. This is how wary Cheng Sheng is. If, only if, Sun Rong or Qie Shi would be caught by someone, the only information they would get would be the information Cheng Sheng deliberately released and nothing else.
How cunning. But, they can't help but sigh at Cheng Sheng's attitude. Really worthy of being a scum.
"Should we ask Zheng Fu Gong?" Xie Lan asked.
Silence fell. "… what if Zheng Fu Gong, or Pai Lie or Su Yuan don't know about Sheng-er going to the Righteous Alliance?" Chen Jing asked, then made a pause. "Much less Sheng-er's presence in the Zhongyang?" he added.
A long silence fell. "… it couldn't be, right?" Xie Lan asked and laughed.
The others also laughed, only for their laughter to halt and the smile on their faces freeze when they heard what Wu Yuan said.
"But, this is Cheng Sheng." Wu Yuan spoke.
Everyone. "…" fck. That's right. This is a scum… THE scum that we're talking about. They thought with black lines covering their faces. Even Sun Rong was suppressed. Should they ask Jing Cheng? Definitely not, because not only Cheng Sheng definitely have already planned all this beforehand, but Jing Cheng, and the entire Zunjingde Sect, now owes Cheng Sheng after curing Jing Rui!
Their hands are tied! What should they do now?! They thought and glared at the sleeping Cheng Sheng. How much they grieved earlier for him is now how much they wanted to smack him! This bear child! No matter how many years have passed, but he is still the same!
Now what?
"I think that we should focus on the Intersect Competition first." It was Wu Yuan.
They all looked at him.
"Cheng Sheng must have already foreseen this, our hands being tied… well, he tied them…" Wu Yuan muttered and glanced at Cheng Sheng.
"…" Everyone's faces darkened as they looked at Cheng Sheng.
Wu Yuan removed his gaze. "So, we should focus on the Intersect Competition first." He said.
Everyone immediately composed themselves despite itching to smack Cheng Sheng awake. "Yes." They nodded in agreement.
"Also – " Wu Yuan spoke.
There's more? They looked at him.
"Now that Fei Yin's body is here, Cheng Sheng will now have one worry less." Wu Yuan said.
They all fell silent. Then, a smile formed on their lips. "That's right." They said.
"So – " Wu Yuan looked at them. " – he definitely will mess with us again, right?" he asked. "So we'd better raise our guard against him again." He added.
Everyone. "…" fck! That's true! They thought and inwardly cursed as their fists jerked, about to hit Cheng Sheng.
"But, since Cheng Sheng now has Fei Yin's body – " Wu Yuan took a deep breath. " – and we now know about it, then… we can closely watch his actions and extend our hands to help him… right?" he asked.
Everyone nodded as their faces brightened. "Definitely!" they said and smiled. How can they not help him? It's because Cheng Sheng was hiding from them all along thus they can't help him!
But now that they know Cheng Sheng's plan, then they will definitely watch him closely so that he won't do anything stupid again, and they can help him in time!
The next day.
Cheng Sheng slowly opened his eyes and saw that he is lying on the bed. He saw Bai Tan flew beside the bed and he smiled when he saw that Fei Yin was lying on the jade bed inside Bai Tan's space. "Good morning, da shixiong." He greeted as he sat up from the bed. "Yin." He called and closed his eyes before he went down the bed and fixed his clothes and washed his face. Bai Tan flew to wipe his face and neck before Cheng Sheng went out of his room, only to see a gigantic ship flying above and passed by. "Oh. The Huakai Sect has finally arrived." He spoke and smiled. He saw Bai Tan flew beside him, carrying his hat. "Thank you." He said and patted Bai Tan before he wore his hat while Bai Tan slipped inside his sleeve. Then, he went down the stairs.
He happened to come across with an acquaintance while descending the stairs. The other person is ascending the stairs. "Cheng Sheng!" the person exclaimed.
Cheng Sheng slightly raised his head, and the brim of his hat revealed his face, and also the person's face. "Tang Zhe!" he smiled. He then turned to the people behind Tang Zhe. "Tang Yun! Guo Cheng! And Shan Lu!" he grinned.
Shan Lu's face stiffened while Guo Cheng snickered. Even until now, they still haven't remembered what happened on the last Intersect Competition when Cheng Sheng 'poisoned' Shan Lu with the Sundry Juice through Qi Ling who made him drink it after Xi Ning unintentionally poisoned him.
Tang Zhe laughed while Tang Yun smiled. "Elder Cheng, greetings!" the Huakai Sect disciples greeted and bowed when they saw Cheng Sheng. Some of them even can't help but squeal, but in the end managed to restrain themselves.
Tang Zhe's eyes brightened because of their sect disciples' behavior. "It's been a long time." He turned to Cheng Sheng.
Cheng Sheng nodded. "Indeed, it is." He spoke. "Let me treat you to a meal next time. You go settle your disciples first." He told them.
The Xinfaxian Sect, the Youxiwang Sect, the Shanliangde Sect, the Qianxu Sect and the Huakai Sect along with the Huli Sect have already booked the Yunxiao Inn in this year's, and the following years' Intersect Competition.
"Oh. Thank you!" Tang Zhe isn't reserved so he immediately agreed.
"It's no problem. Invite the others, too. I've made a big fortunate after curing sect leader Jing." Cheng Sheng said.
"Great!" Tang Zhe grinned.
The Zunjingde Sect and the Righteous Alliance have already released the news about Jing Rui's recovery. Only Cheng Sheng could save him, and everyone knows it.
Cheng Sheng nodded. "Then, I will take my leave first." He said. He nodded at Tang Yun, Guo Cheng and Shan Lu which they returned.
"Sure!" Tang Zhe nodded.
The Huakai Sect disciples immediately parted to make way for him and watched him leave with admiration in their eyes.
"Come on, now. He has already left." Tang Zhe laughed. "Hurry so we can immediately eat!" he told them.
"Yes!" the disciples answered and followed the four elders of their sect.
Meanwhile, Cheng Sheng was about to reach the entrance of the inn when another voice called him. "Huh? Cheng Sheng?" it was Kang Ce.
Cheng Sheng turned. "So your sect has also arrived." He spoke and nodded at him.
"The Huakai Sect gave us a ride." Kang Ce answered. "Where are you going so early in the morning?" he asked.
The sun has not yet risen but the Yunxiao Inn is always open, no matter what time of the day, so the Huakai Sect and the Huli Sect are able to enter and settle in their rooms.
"I have someone to treat and this is the only time possible that I can treat them because of their condition." Cheng Sheng answered.
"Oh. Then, I won't hold you back." Kang Ce answered.
Cheng Sheng nodded and then left. Just as he disappeared, Kang Ce turned but bumped into someone. "Oh. Sorry – " he spoke.
"No. It is I who should apologize." The person spoke. "Huh? Elder Kang?" he was surprised.
Kang Ce was also surprised to see it was someone familiar. "Cheng Sheng's disciple…" he muttered.
Fei Yinzi smiled and bowed. "Greetings, elder Kang. This disciple's name is Fei Yinzi." He spoke.
"Right, right. You have the same name with…" Kang Ce stopped and smiled. "Young one, you wake up so early. What did you wake up for?" he asked.
"This disciple heard my shizun's voice…" Fei Yinzi answered and looked around. "May I ask if elder Kang has seen my shizun?" he asked.
Kang Ce's smile became stiff. "No… sorry." He answered and looked away. "Hey. It seems like your sect still hasn't woke up. How about you join my sect for breakfast?" he asked. He didn't wait for Fei Yinzi to answer and continued. "The Huakai Sect has also arrived and will be joining us, too. The more the merrier! Let's go!" he said and pulled the child away, stopping him from looking for his master who has already left to escape.
