As soon as Seri started hitting her head against the wall, Millie panicked and scrambled to stop her. She put her hands out so that it would soften the blow. Millie whined, "Seri! What are you doing?!"
Seri responded in a defeated voice, "I'm smashing my head to free myself from this shame."
Millie sighed, "Seri. You shouldn't feel too ashamed. I think you did a good job."
"That's not the part I am ashamed about."
Seri realized that Millie wouldn't allow her to smash her forehead any longer, so she collapsed on the ground and buried her face. Millie bent down and started poking her, "Seri? You alright? Did you black out from too much alcohol?"
Seri muttered back with her voice muffled by the ground, "I didn't black out you peeping Tom."
Millie tilted her head innocently, "My name isn't Tom."
"Ugh. It's an expression."
Millie giggled, "Well stop laying around Seri. It's going to be daylight soon. You need to return back to the palace before anyone notices you missing."
"Can't."
"Can't?"
"I can't feel my legs."
Millie giggled at Seri and picked her up. She carried Seri piggy-back style while Seri wrapped her arms around Millie's neck and nuzzled her face on her back.
Seri sighed, "How are you this strong?"
Millie answered with a smile, "I'm not as strong as you. In fact, if it wasn't for you being so light, I wouldn't be able to carry you. You really should eat more. Is Simon not feeding you?"
"He is, but everything is so spicy my stomach can't handle it."
The original Seri walked next to them still fuming from her hatred for Millie. Seeing the two get along nicely only angered her more. She clicked her tongue, "This filthy swine. How can she pretend to be so docile and loving?! She should be dead in the ground already! Not following you around like a well-trained dog!"
Seri answered her in a hum, "You seem to be very upset tonight."
The Original Seri spoke indignantly, "Of course I am upset! She just admitted to watching you and Dante while you were together! And instead of punishing her for it, you chose to smash your head against the wall!"
"I seem to recall you also watching."
The Original Seri turned her head away and muttered, "I didn't really have a choice. Millie did."
"Liar. You could have closed your eyes and covered your ears."
Millie who had been carrying Seri on her back realized Seri was talking to thin air again. She spoke, "Seri, who are you talking to?"
"The Original Seri." She answered without hesitation.
Millie didn't speak for a moment. Then she whispered to herself, "The Original Seri? How strange."
Seri spoke, "It's true. She's right beside us. Although, I can only see her in reflections and hear her."
The Original Seri frowned, "Leia. She's going to lock you up in an asylum if you keep talking like this."
Seri answered her, "Millie wouldn't do that. If she did that then she'd be locked up too and unable to kill anyone."
Millie was silent as she listened. She really wanted to say that she truly believed Seri to be crazy, but she held back her words. She spoke in an innocent tone, "Ever since we were kids, I have always thought that there was something not quite right with that brain of yours."
"…"
Millie continued with a gentle smile, "However, I don't care how off you are in your head. You are still my beloved toy."
Seri rolled her eyes, "Thanks, I guess?"
Millie nodded, "Of course. So, just what is this Original Seri saying?"
Seri glanced over and listened to the Original Seri cursing at Millie, "Filthy dirty swine. You deserve to die. I hate you so so much. I want you dead. Dead."
Seri turned back to Millie, "She's saying that she hates you very much."
Millie: "…"
Millie forced on a smile, "Why would she hate me? I haven't done anything to her."
The Original Seri scoffed, "Haah? You kidnapped me and tortured me for several days! Then you even killed my beloved Mary after torturing her in the most despicable way possible!"
Seri translated, "In another life, you kidnapped her and tortured her. You even took out one of her ribs before stitching her up like an expert. Then, when you accidentally got her killed, you were so furious you destroyed and killed her beloved."
"Her beloved?"
"Mary."
Millie pinched her eyebrows together, "She likes Mary? For some reason that is extremely irritating to hear."
Seri continued, "You also killed and tortured William and Dante, destroyed the Kingdom, and married Simon. If what you did wasn't so evil, it would be a bit impressive."
Millie was confused for a moment as if she was trying to recall doing such a thing. She spoke, "That was in another life. I haven't done that in this life." She added in a mutter, "Although I have thought about it."
Seri shrugged, "I've tried telling her that, but her anger and hatred is deep. It's probably the thing that is keeping her here. Although, I am a bit impressed. She used to be so timid and meek, but she hated you so much her personality completely changed. Now she doesn't even stutter."
The Original Seri crossed her arms in irritation, "It's not because of my hatred for Millie. It's because I am dead, so nothing really matters anymore!"
Millie shook her head, "But I'm confused Seri. What even is the Original Seri? Is it another you?"
"Oh right! I don't think I've actually ever told you. My name is Leia and I am from another world. A bunch of coworkers jumped me and left me broken and abandoned on a cliff where I died from dehydration and starvation. Then I transmigrated into the body of 5 year old Seri and have been here ever since."
Millie: "…"
The Original Seri blinked in disbelief, "Did you really just tell her that so casually?"
Seri pouted, "It's the truth. I tell no lies."
Millie sighed, "You really do make me speechless sometimes."
Seri's face lit up, "So you believe me?"
Millie smiled gently, "Not one bit."
Seri: "…"
Millie continued, "However, a lot of things would make sense if this were true. You were always a peculiar child. You speak strange words that no one has ever heard of and you know things that you couldn't possibly know. However, your maturity was lacking so I could have never guessed you were an adult."
Millie didn't hear a response, so she turned her head. She saw Seri sleeping peacefully with a strange smile on her face. Millie sighed and continued walking, "Now how will I get you in? I still haven't figured out where you have been coming and going from the palace."
Millie continued to walk in silence with only Seri and the supposed Original Seri with her. Millie spoke to thin air, "I don't know if you are real or not 'Original Seri', but I am not the Millie you think I am."
The Original Seri turned to look at her under her veil.
Millie continued, "I can't apologize for what the other Millie did either. Truthfully, I wouldn't feel one bit of guilt for killing other people."
The Original Seri scoffed, "Of course you wouldn't. You are twisted and cruel. Even in this life you are the same as my Millie. You can't be fixed."
Millie of course, didn't hear a thing she said. Millie glanced back at the Seri she carried on her back, "However, I would never harm Seri in such a way. To cut her open and take out a rib; that is far too cruel. I would only ever do those things to other people. There is no way I could do such a thing to her."
The Original Seri stopped walking when she saw the genuine expression of love in Millie's eyes. In this life, she wasn't just obsessive. There was a flicker of love. A look that the Original Seri knew that her Millie never had. Unable to stand the sight of the two together any longer, she vanished into thin air.
Millie turned her head upwards with a mischievous grin, "Plus, I don't need to hurt her like that. She gets herself into those situations all by herself. All I need to do is follow her around and watch her and my thirst for those evil desires are satiated."
Millie quieted down once she approached the Palace walls. She snuck around the until she found the place where she had climbed up before. She frowned as she looked up. How could she possibly scale the wall while carrying Seri on her back?
She grabbed out rope and tied Seri to her firmly so she wouldn't have to worry about her falling off. Then she pulled out two sharp knives she had received from Charles before she came here. She took a deep breath, "It can't be so hard, can it?"
She stabbed the knives into the side of the Palace and began to climb. As she quickly scaled upwards, she had to pause halfway. Climbing up before on her own wasn't hard, but now she was carrying Seri. Her arms trembled from the exertion.
However, she didn't give up.
She knew that Seri had a plan and she wasn't going to let that plan fail. So she continued to scale the building no matter how tired her arms felt. When she reached the open window belonging to Seri's room, she sighed in relief.
That was until she came face to face with a sadistic smile.
