Chapter 7：The Last Match

"Welcome back with your beloved CURSEboy!!! We have come to the last fight in the last match of this tournament. The black horse, or perhaps I should say the black tiger, P-Tigre had managed to win 15 times and lost 4 times. However, today match they had lost two times and won two times."

"This is another close match in this tournament. Who will become the World Steel Throne League? There had been twenty teams in the league, but only one team could become the champion. The V-Light now leads the table with one more point after their victory half an hour ago. However, if P-Tigre won this fight they will become the new World Steel Throne Champion."

"Look! Look! Look at that! Both teams had prepared for their last match. P-Tiger versus J-Lion. Both were trying to find their opponent position."

Red was using the Ice Phoenix again. The opponent opted to reduce their team power by forcing Matteo to use his secondary character, Pandarium.

Red flapped his wing, he could see further than the rest of his team other than Andi. Andi had used Shining Angel again and checked the position of their enemies. Red could see from the minimap three of his opponents.

"We could gank their disabler, he was alone in the bottom lane." Rodrigo said.

I will check him. Andi moved her Shining Angel toward the bottom lane.

"My map showed two other characters behind him, attack their top lane." Andi said in the communication channel. This was the important usage of observer character.

"Roger!" Rehaan moved his Viper toward the top lane.

"I will bump their Mid-Lane. Cover me about their movement, Andi!" Rodrigo said. As a tanker, he could handle more damage than his teammates. It wouldn't be easy to kill him.

Matteo had been already in the top lane. He had met with opponent's carry a few times. Both had traded several attacks to reduce their opponent damage.

"Jason, you came from behind. Get some buff while on it." Rehaan said. His Viper movement speed was a bit slower than other characters.

"Ok." Red flew toward the forest. He aimed for some small creeps to get his party a boost while flying to ambush the enemy.

"I was ganked." Andi said in the communication.

"Come to me! We will use the tower to defend." Rodrigo shouted.

Red saw from above the forest, Rehaan had found the opponent carry, Amazon Queen. The character using a boomerang as a sword. She kept using her first skill, Boomerang Blade to reduce the creep and Matteo's Pandarium health. Matteo also threw some Blazing Wine to the Amazon to reduce her health.

"I will go!" Rehaan said.

A huge black viper appeared from the forest. The viper opened its huge mouth and a pair of long silver fangs appeared. It bit the body of the physically fit amazon lady.

The Elf Hunter also suddenly disappeared. It appeared behind the stunned warrior and removed a huge chunk of her health point. The Amazon threw her sword and jumped to the sword. She used her skill to run from the Viper and the Elf. However, from behind a huge blue bird had already waited.

"Ice Wave!!" Red shouted. A flash of ice appeared on Red's body. It spread to the area around him.

"That is a kill. J-Lion lost their carry."

"However, Iron Golem is in a bad position. He was only supported by Shining Angel. They retreated, but they need to pay with a tower destroyed."

Red quickly returned to the forest. Matteo and Rehaan followed.

"The Iron Golem used its Rock Separation. That is the bait. It would absorb the attack from the nearby opponents."

Red appeared from behind. He saw his teammates was chased.

"I will use Ice Pillar to block them!" Red said.

Red flew above the forest. He positioned himself behind some tree and used Ice Pillar. This stopped the opponent attack before retreated back into the jungle.

Rehaan moved his Viper. The huge snake came in the middle of the opponent's formation.

"Poison Cloud!" A screech was heard. While a huge black fog appeared.

The Steel Throne used some skill to block vision. This ultimate also removed the life and slow the opponent.

"What a combo!!! The Viper came from behind and used its Ultimate, Poison Cloud. This is dangerous. This is dangerous."

"Ice World!!" Red flew ba toward the opponent and used his ulti.

"Earth Bash!" Matteo used his skill before continued with a normal attack. The Pandarium used passive skill to build its damage.

"What a combo! What a combo! Look at that J-Lion is FLATTENED. It was the time for the counter. All members of J-Lion had logged out of the game. Victory for P-Tigre. They go through the middle lane. Iron golem tanked the tower. OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH FUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKK That!

"VICTORY!!! VICTORY!!! We have a new champion in this season. P-Tigre went from a bottom league into the winner. This will be a legend. This will be a legend worth remembering. A fucking underdog wins the league!"

Red went out from the Steel Throne machine. He saw a happy face of Andi, Rehaan, Matteo, and Rodrigo.

"We won!!!"

"Congratulation for P-Tigre to win this season match!" The MC of the tournament announced their team victory.

"It is another close match. We will talk with the winning manager. What do you think about this season match?"

P-Tigre Manager, Martinez was interviewed by the MC. While Red and his teammates run around the stadium. The audience screamed their name. Some shouted Jason's name.

"Jason!! I love you."

"Jason! Jason! Jason! Jason!"

"Jason look here!"

Red only smiled and waved his hand. He had some experience to handle the fanatic fans. All modern eSport players could handle public popularity. Jason gave some signatures to his fans. They also threw some signed merchandise to the crowds with the sponsor logo.

P-Tigre had turned from a bottom tier team into the champion.

Jason's agent even had some transfer contract from a more established team. However, Red said that he didn't want to think about it until the end of the season.

Above this league, there was an inter-planetary competition for the Steel Throne. Human from this advanced civilization had colonized in several nearby planets.

As a former Arch God, Red knew this was still inside a planet territory of a divine being. The human only managed to find habitable objects near their planet.

"Do you think we could get the promotion to the Universe League?" Andi whispered to Red.

"I don't know."

"I heard you got an offer from the U-Hawk to play in the Universe League."

"I heard that from my agent. However, I haven't read about that. Winning this league had become my goal all this time. I haven't think that far." Red laughed. "We should enjoy this moment first."

"Yeah! You are correct." Andi said.

"We might get an increased bonus from the sponsorship." Rehaan said. As a celebrity, their income from winning a tournament was dwarfed by their sponsorship deals.

They continued their victory run. Red was taken onto the stage with his teammates. They managed to win the league with one point difference. Rodrigo the captain raised the league cup with both hand, they took a memorable photo.

He owns the battlefield. The king of flying creature is still undefeated. This older bird is even faster than he was 5 years ago."

Although, all his former teammates had retired from the professional scene because of their age since eSport required high reflexes found in younger people. Red who had become a cultivator was still in his peak condition. He still competed professionally and become several times MVP in the intergalactic competition. He continued to do the destiny missions related to Steel Throne to get destiny energy.
