After the car pulled over, Cassie pushed the door open. She was about to get out.
"Cassie!" Nick immediately seized Cassie's arm and pulled her back.
"Let go!" Cassie yelled as she struggled to get away from him with no prevail.
"No, I won't let you go!" Nick seemed to be doing it out of anger; he kept holding onto Cassie and even put a little more strength. Of course, he wouldn't hurt Cassie, but he wasn't going to let her go either.
"What on earth are you going to do?" Cassie yelled at him, mustering all of her strength. She started to cry, her tears falling down her cheeks.
"Cassie, don't cry. Please don't cry..." Nick froze, not knowing what to do next. He never expected that Cassie would cry in front of him. So he immediately let go of her and said, "Don't cry, please. I never mean to hurt you. I just don't want you to go."
But that only made things worse. Cassie cried even harder and Nick felt his heart
ad again.
At that moment, Nick remembered something important and got up.
"Nick?" Cassie opened her eyes when she felt Nick had gone away. She hadn't expected him to act like that, right in the most important moment.
Cassie felt angry and humiliated. She promised herself that she would never speak to him again.
"Honey, let's continue..." Nick leaned over to hold her into his arms as he was about to continue.
"Wait." Cassie pushed him away suddenly. Surprised, he turned to look at her. She had a determined look on her face. She got on her knees, leaning over him. Then she pulled the quilt over herself.
