Isla stared at Sheryl's phone screen. She couldn't believe someone would send Sheryl a message like this. She waited and waited, but nothing came. She decided to call the number, but it seemed as if it had already been shut down.
The more she looked at the message, the angrier she became.
She felt angry and upset for Sheryl. She couldn't imagine what it would be like for Sheryl to see those photos. She would be heartbroken.
Isla's heart tightened as she thought about it.
She decided that she was going to delete the photos and messages. She couldn't let Sheryl see them because she knew Sheryl would only get hurt.
Isla couldn't help but worry. She wondered who would do this to Sheryl. Who was it? Could it be Leila?
Still, she couldn't be sure.
She figured if it had been Leila, she wouldn't need to pretend to be someone else to mess with Sheryl. Leila would proudly do it from her own phone.
The more Isla thought about it, the more worried she became. As much as she wanted to get rid of all those photos, she didn't know how to stop them from just being resent.
She figured that since the person had included the time and location of the banquet, she might as well be there too, so she could find out what was going on.
After everything that had happened, it was time to settle this once and for all.
Isla then put down the phone and headed towards the door.
Just as Isla was about to open the door to leave, Sheryl walked in. She seemed surprised to see Isla in her office. She asked in confusion, "Isla, what are you doing in my office? Shouldn't you be in the West City?"
Isla panicked when Sheryl caught her, and she was afraid that Sheryl would find out she had deleted her messages. She was so anxious that she had forgotten why she came to Sheryl's office in the first place.
She paused, then answered bashfully, "Yeah, I just thought I'd come by and say goodbye before
how to respond, so she just stood there, staring blankly at Sheryl.
Sheryl burst into laughter when she saw the look on Phoebe's face. She said to Phoebe, "Relax, Phoebe. I just feel like Isla's hiding something from me. So…she didn't tell you anything, right?"
"Yes, President Zhao didn't tell me anything."
Phoebe decided to lie because she knew Isla must be up to something. Since Isla obviously didn't want Sheryl to know, she figured it was best to just not say anything to Sheryl.
"Okay, you can go back to work now," Sheryl said to Phoebe. She too resumed working.
As soon as Phoebe left her office, everything was silent. Sheryl couldn't focus on her work at all.
She decided to just put her worries aside since she had no way of finding out what it was anyway.
When Isla had finished with her work, she headed back to the Cloud Advertising Company.
She stood at the entrance, hesitating. She lifted her head, then lowered it. The security guard couldn't help but stare, finding Isla to be acting rather oddly.
He slowly made his way toward Isla and asked politely, "President Zhao, is something wrong? Can I help you?"
"Oh, nothing. Why do you ask?" Isla suddenly returned to her senses, so she looked at the security guard and put on a smile.
