4 Forging on a Condition

Draig stared at the anvil curiously, he didn't know why but he felt there was something truly disturbing about this piece of equipment. He wished he had the skill of Appraisal, it was perfect for instances like this. Ignoring that random thought Draig decided to test it, pulling some metal bars he had taken from some dwarfs during his escapades into the forbidden zone, Draig used his Black magic to conjure flames to heat the metal.

He watched as the metal slowly turned red before grabbing a normal working hammer to start hammering on the metal against the anvil. Sparks flew and the anvil glowed ominously, before it took the metal bar and returned a completely unfamiliar type of metal. Draig was confusedabout what had happened but he could tell this metal was far better than what he had used.

Draig was interrupted when he heard a knock from the door, walking up he saw a person standing there with a interested look his face. Upon seeing Draig he smiled excitedly and forgot all manners and rushed inside hovering around Draig in interest as if he was inspecting him.

"So this is what a vampire is, oh my apologies it seems you are still an intermediate vampire. So cool, who would've thought someone would get a monster system" said the young man hovering around Draig with glowing eyes but those eyes suddenly widened when he looked at the metal in Draig's hands.

"W-where did you get that" asked the young man.

"This, I don't even know what this is" said Draig now realizing why the young man before him was inspecting him.

"You wouldn't happen to have the skill of Appraisal would you" asked Draig.

"Indeed I do Mr. Vampire, are you in need of such a skill" asked the young man noticing the hope in Draig's eyes

"Yes, I found something when I was exploring the forbidden zone and I have no idea how to use or what it's purpose is" said Draig as he grabbed the young man easily and carried him away.

The young man was a bit terrified being picked up so easily and dragged into a vampire's basement but that all changed when he saw the shelves of potions.

"Excuse me but who is Draig" asked the young man in awe.

"That is my name, more importantly tell me what this is" said Draig pointing at the anvil but the young man was looking at Draig in awe.

"You made those potions" asked the young man

"Yes, but that is not why I brought you here. Inspect this anvil" said Draig with interest, he was looking forward to this.

The young man looked at the anvil for a long time before his eyes almost fell out of his head, he stared at it again just to be sure.

"Where did you get this" asked the young man

"I looted it from two orcs that I killed" said Draig looking at the young man

"This is incredible, it's called The Conditional Forge. It can make a weapon of peerless renown but on the condition it has one sure fire weakness, thus creating the condition for being nigh indestructible" said the young man.

"How do I make the condition" demanded Draig in an eager tone

"It says condition's can be set once the anvil has been bonded with a master" said the young man a look of greed appearing in his eyes.

Draig noticed this as well, stepping in front of the young man Draig made himself known and at the same time cut off his line of sight.

"How do I bond My anvil" asked Draig with a dangerous tone bringing the young man back to himself.

"That is you just need to add your blood to it in a sufficient quantity" said the young man sweating, had he really considered taking this anvil from a vampire.

"Very well, now why have you come here" asked Draig stashing the anvil in his inventory

"Oh right, I am here on behalf of the Gryphon Guild to bestow upon you the resources that are owed to you" said the young man emptying his inventory dumping a large quantity of different items on the ground.

"The guild master would like to send his apologies for the delay" said the young man as he turned to leave immediately but when he walked upstairs he saw several other piles of resources left at the top of the stairs. It seems someone had been listening in on the conversation.

Draig breathed exhaling as he slashed his palms and cast his blood runes as each one planted into the ground a monster of earth rose up. He wasted no time and sent them to patrol the area, someone was planning to do something about him having such a treasure but if they took action then they would doom themselves.

He would leave this place long before he would allow himself to lose such a treasure, returning inside he used a bag he had recognized to be a common reproduction of the legendary Bottomless bag. Using this little novelty he stored the resources that were brought to him along with his potions he had brewed. He cleaned out everything from the farm house and was fully ready to leave should trouble show up.

He stared into the distance and decided he may be better off leaving now after remembering how powerless he was against Zarra, gritting his teeth he left through the gate to the Forbidden zoneheading deep into its depths.
