13 The Farm is a Warzone

It's been over a month since Zarra had started his program, Draig had been living peacefully during this time training his skills to the best of his ability. He had discovered at some point undead from different races had began roaming the landscape of the farms, but the biggest changes were in the factions. They had seemed to have lost their humanity after the first death, Zarra had appeared at that time to applaud the act giving a few words on the matter.

After that little speech it had become a blood bath, Guilders who realized that they couldn't stand in this kind of situation with an obviously superior opponent went in to hiding and then there were those who had been kicked from their factions for lacking strength. Draig was confused by the situation and hadn't left since he heard the news.

He instead spent that time training so he wouldn't end up dead.

'These mortals kill even their own kind, that says even less of my chances if I fail to have the strength' thought Draig as he casually held a orb of dark fire.

He had focused on training his magic after all this time and crafting as many potions as he could, the pills he had taken during the resource squabble were growing smaller by the day but they had been put to good use. Body tempering pills along with other physical enhancing pills had helped him to gain a extra bit of strength and his level had grown even further after gaining the experience from practicing his abilities.

He felt it was time to go and test his theory on blood and make an appearance but he had to choose a good specimen that catered to his current skill set.

Leaving the root cellar that he had taken residence in he set out to find his victim and scout the happenings since his last venture into the world, he had dawned his armor and had to admit it was a fitting style.

Slim, Lightweight, and a moderate amount of protection. Unfortunately he didn't have full body protection but it covered his vitals. He had enjoyed the fact that it was a black and red color scheme, abyssal black being the main color and Crimson being secondary. It was plain but elegant in his opinion.

Draig brought his attention away from his armor before he vanished into mist, he carried through the trees like a deadly breeze unnoticeable to the human eye or at least that was what he had thought.

He watched as a sword cleaved through his mist failing to harm him in the process.

"Damn it Sylvie what are you doing you trash, your going to give away our position" barked a tall youth holding a staff with two snakes twirling around it.

Draig smiled before making an appearance.

"Oh poor mortal, she was the most astute of you all" said Draig turning to look at the fierce girl from before only to be surprised by the meek appearance she now bore.

Draig was taken a little off guard but didn't take his eyes off her, she was dangerous enough to be able to sense him in mist form.

"Who are you" asked the tall youth

"Draig the Vampire, what are you doing in my domain mortals" asked Draig looking at the group of four

"That's none of your concern monster" said the youth a mysterious fog encompasses the area

"That was quite foolish" said Draig as he swiped randomly ripping a Guilders armor to shreds with his claws the scratches across his torso festering near instantly.

"Your probably feeling it by now but this fog isn't normal" came the voice of the tall youth

"Actually I'm not feeling anything" stated Draig smiling cruelly, he was aware of what the youth was talking about. It was a poison fog but it seemed his squad had either taken some sort of antidote or had some immunity to it.

He was unaffected by it personally due to the passive of Toxic magic, he would make sure to take a sample of this youth though.

'He might hold some benefit to my skill advancing' thought Draig as became one with the fog turning into mist.

He circled around the group who had united with each other after his disappearance, he felt it was a good strategy. He wasn't going for all of them though, he only wanted one.

The tall youth was looking around warily for Draig but he hadn't realized his landscape was gradually changing the forest around them was turning quite dangerous as the lush green plants began to wither and more precocious types began to take their place.

The youth felt a chill as a hand was placed on his shoulder.

"You know I am quite hungry, would you mind treating me to a meal" stated Draig as they both disappeared from the spot leaving two spooked Guilders and a meek girl who was uncertain of what to do.

The two Guilders had decided to cut their losses and ran for it but were tripped by something, looking at the offending object they were frozen in place.

A husk was laying at their feet wearing a familiar set of attire, it was their former leader drained of his life essence. They started to shake unable to believe their situation had become so terrible, they wanted to run but those empty eye sockets of the husk kept staring at them.

"He was quite a generous fellow, treated me to such a decadent meal and even helped me confirm a few things I was having trouble with" stated Draig sitting next to the Guilders.

"So tell me what classes are you and what skills do you have, this is a matter of life and death you know" asked Draig as the fog began to clear

The two turned to Draig with eyes begging for mercy before they started speaking.

"I'm a paladin, I only know a few basic martial skills but I swear I can serve you well. Just please let me live" cried the first wearing a cloak of all things, Draig narrowed his eyes seeing the lack of a sword.

"Don't paladin's carry a sword on them" asked Draig

The youth froze and tried to explain but he didn't receive death like he initially thought.

"Empty your system storage, if I even think your hiding something I will leave you like your friend" said Draig his eyes showing no complacency.

Thinking this was there chance they immediately followed through and dumped everything on them save for a weapon.

Draig smiled before ripping the throat of the supposed paladin and turning to his friend.

"Now since he is out of the picture tell me what class are you" asked Draig bringing out his Bottomless bag and picking through the items to see what he had.

"I am just a rogue" said the youth until he too joined his friend.

Draig stared at the bodies, it was his first time killing humans but he didn't feel anything like he thought he would. He looked at them as if they were the same as the other races he had slaughtered, but he guessed that was what they were now. Just a lesser being
