16 Essence of a Vampire pt2

Draig woke up days later but found himself in a unfamiliar location, he felt his stomach rumble from hunger causing a shift in movement out the corner of his eyes which was picked easier than what he remembered.

Draig looked towards the disturbance finding Sylvie there holding up the arm of Fraudrik, he stared at the girl curiously before accepting the arm until he remembered what had caused him to pass out. He pulled up his System and looked for changes and the most obvious was the addition to his current standing.

'Full Fledged Vampire, Title's held: Apex Predator, Lord of your Domain, level fifty'

He was surprised about the addition of the titles as well as the boost in level but he was more curious about the effects of the titles. They sounded domineering so he hoped it was so for the effects.

'Apex Predator: every creature is your sustenance even your own, causes the fear status in creatures thirty levels above your own'

'Lord of your Domain: In territories recognized as yours you will be invincible'

Draig looked at this and was in awe of what he had read, he took a look at his skills and found his inherent vampire abilities had been boosted to max leaving only his trained skills to be behind.

Smiling cruelly he looked forward to fighting Zarra again, taking a bite of the arm he bit cleanly through the flesh and bone entirely relishing in the taste. To him this was the taste of victory, being able to savor his opponents flesh. He continued eating until there were no remnants of the corpse and stood with a smile as he saw the time for advancement growing near.

He looked towards the girl called Sylvie, he noticed how the body had been bisected and chalked it up to her stepping in. He felt she was worth keeping around should he find himself in a difficult situation in the future.

"Come along Sylvie" called Draig making her perk up and following closely as compared to the distance she kept before.

"What has happened while I was sleeping" asked Draig to which she explained Zarra had made an announcement.

"What was this announcement" asked Draig smiling cruelly

"He is using the resources that were recaptured on the first day as the prize for a tournament" said Sylvie in a soft spoken voice.

"Any rules" asked Draig raising an eyebrow

"Survive" answered Sylvie

"Well then let's go" said Draig eloquently, he may not have realized but he was gaining a type of noble air about him causing people to want to follow his lead.

"You want Sylvie to follow you" asked Sylvie uncertainly

"No I am telling you to follow me, you have proven you are trustworthy by not taking advantage of my downed form" said Draig easily, causing Sylvie to smile

"Yes Lord Draig" said Sylvie causing Draig to falter for a second before regaining his demeanor

"Lord?" asked Draig casting a side glance at Sylvie

"Sylvie heard you tell the other Vampire you were a Lord" stated Sylvie speaking with a bit more ease at not being alone.

"Then what about my name" asked Draigunable to renege on his words from that fight

"Sylvie heard it when you killed clients" explained Sylvie with an odd look on her face

"Very well Sylvie, tell me where we are going" asked Draig as he was still missing that bit of information.

"We are meeting at the starting point" said Sylvie seriously

"Very well, I will lead the way" stated Draig as he and Sylvie made their way to where it all began.

Sylvie stared at the elegant way Draig carried himself and smiled lightly, this demeanor was affirming his words in her mind.

'Sylvie has a Lord, Sylvie must try extra hard from now on' thought Sylvie with a determined look on her face.

Draig was thinking about how much a bloodbath this would become while also thinking of the special skill he had gained from consuming Fraudrik, for this he was no longer picky about who he would be consuming. He needed to level this ability up because it would come in handy in the future.

It wasn't long before Draig and Sylvie had arrived at the location of the old farm house.

"Sylvie I am feeling quite hungry" stated Draig looking at the assembled Guilders

"Lord Draig should be able to eat til he is full" said Sylvie used to such words coming from her sword spirits.

Draig smiled at those words, he was indeed going to eat until he was full.

The gathered Guilders saw Draig and Sylvie and began muttering among themselves, there were a couple other loners who gave a nod of acknowledgment.

"SYLVIE" came the cry of one voice revealing a person draped in white.

"Where have you been, leader and the rest of us thought you had been killed' began the girl coolly after regaining herself from the initial outburst.

"Sylvie has been following her Lord" said Sylvie simply

"Your Lord, do you mean this man" asked the girl icily tossing a glance at Draig

"Sister this is Lord Draig, Sylvie has been following him" confirmed Sylvie with a determined look

"What about leader and the rest of us" asked the girl staring at Draig dangerously

"Sylvie follows her Lord now" said Sylvie

Draig was paying attention to this back and forth somewhat, he was a bit surprised at how this girl could be related to Sylvie but seeing the change from a meek girl to her current character he could believe they shared a close bond.

"You, what did you do to Sylvie" demanded the girl walking to stare Draig in the eyes

"Quiet mortal, I have done nothing to Sylvie" stated Draig with disgust, who would make wild accusations as such.

"Mortal, do you have some kind of god complex. Is that why she is following you" asked the girl coldly

"No I am no God, I am the one who was given the Vampire system that is why I call you mortal, human" said Draig dangerously

"There's no such thing as a Vampire System" stated the girl her eyes growing frosty from what she believed was someone toying with her.

Draig merely smiled showing his fangs before staring down at the cruelly.

"Sylvie I am hungry" said Draig flatly

"Don't eat Sylvie's sister Lord....please" said Sylvie cutely

Draig frowned, he had expected more loyalty but he couldn't relate to this kind of bond as he had no family.

"Very well" said Draig as he continued his stay sitting in silence
