18 Scamming the Dark mage

"Dark mage get down here" stated Draig carrying his new Rapier firmly

Zarra raised and eyebrow before a smirk made its way onto his face, he appeared a few feet away from Draig.

"What did you want leech brat" asked Zarra with a knowing smile

Draig didn't say anything for a moment but suddenly Zarra raised his staff and held in its place was that Rapier, Zarra then began moving his staff at a rapid pace the sounds of contact were clear as day.

Zarra suddenly sent out a kick knocking the Rapier from Draig's hands and began swinging his staff at a slow pace from his standpoint, but that suddenly backfired when the kid had turned to mist and grabbed onto his arm catching him by surprise.

Zarra then swung his arm lifting Draig into the air slamming him into the ground forming a crater causing Draig to spit blood just as it did the previous times.

Dust had clouded the area bringing back a bit of nostalgia for Zarra but instead of Draig charging out like last time an intense ball of flames shot towards him. Swinging his staff he smirked but felt something make contact with his stomach out of instinct he swung his hand sending Draig flyingbut instead of continuing his descent or correcting himself he became mist.

Zarra heaved a heavy breath and was about to send a spell at Draig but felt his instincts warning him to move twisting out the way he saw a red beam of light flash by him and shoot into Draig's hand. The Rapier gleamedmenacingly as Draig reformed from the mist and shot towards him again.

"Kid I think it's time I knock you off your high horse" said Zarra deciding he had let it go on long enough.

A dark aura emanated from him gently as he sent a ball of Dark energy at Draig making direct contact in the blink of an eye.

Zarra walked to Draig's body lying on the ground and jabbed him with his staff.

"You alive brat" asked Zarra getting a groan in response.

"Good, now let me tell you something important. Don't let a little bit of power go to your head, the distance between me and you is like the distance between heaven and hell. You can consider yourself to have made that first step but your still a long ways off from being able to spar with me seriously" said Zarra tossing Draig next to Sylvie and her sister.

'I'm proud of your progress kiddo' thought Zarra as he went back to Rodolfo and the rest

Draig laid on the ground for a bit before standing up and grabbing one of his potions healing his injuries but there was a smirk on his face regardless of anything.

'Seems I assumed correctly, just like the holy element I can make use of the Dark poisoning' thought Draig as his body returned to it's previous condition

"Sylvie has run out of room in her System storage Lord" reported Sylvie holding the Bottomless bags, Draig grabbed them before putting them in his system storage.

"Lets go Sylvie, we have gained enough and I have a few things to give you" ordered Draig walking into the distance

"What about me" asked Sylvie's sister coldly.

"Tina should follow Lord and Sylvie" said Sylvie with a smile

"Did she grab what she was supposed to" asked Draig causing Sylvie to look at Tina

"I did" answered Tina with a sick look on her face

"Then tell her to keep up Sylvie" said Draig as they took their time returning to Draig's cellar

The area had remained a dark forest type landscape letting others know this was a claimed territory, Tina looked at her accommodations and frowned slightly.

Draig paid no attention to her issues as he lied down and and began digesting the Dark energy that was poisoning him strengthening his Dark magic, this was his reason for challenging Zarra along with seeing how much progress he had made.

Tina looked at Sylvie who was just sitting silently in the corner as if there was nothing wrong, she decided to bring up the issue on her mind.

"Sylvie" said Tina quietly

"Yes Tina" asked Sylvie happily

"Where are we supposed to sleep" asked Tina in a whisper

"Sylvie doesn't know, this is her first time here" answered Sylvie meekly realizing where Tina was going with her question.

"Sylvie thinks we should wait for Lord to wake up and ask him" said Sylvie looking towards where Draig was laying.
