60 Blood is Thickening pt 2

Draig never left the library while all these events were taking place leaving him uninformed about his current position.

It seemed as if all these hotshots and young prodigies were being informed of a newcomer who was one of the scions who had been raised in another plane. While many did it as a formality others were considering it more seriously and example being Agris and Balethor as they were meeting with Elisa.

"Elisa, there is something we need to discuss" began Agris but he was cut off.

"I assume this is about Drevitch, there is nothing I can do. The boy doesn't hold me in a very high regard let alone the rest of our branch" interrupted Elisa her bubbly demeanor disappearing.

"I wonder why that is the case" asked Balethor intrigued.

"If you saw what he did during the invasion then you would no longer be so intrigued, he has our bloodline but he has the system of the humans. He is something unprecedented, with a single summon he ended the lives of thousands. Drevitch is not someone we can manipulate as you have done in the past" finished Elisa as she looked towards the two old men.

"Then it is obvious we shouldn't manipulate him, instead we will nurture him. Even if he doesn't form a bond of attachment he will have a sense of debt at the least" stated Agris as he stroked his chin.

"If you wish to nurture him who am I to stop you but allow me to give you a word of warning. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, I am afraid you will be sorely disappointed otherwise" stated Elisa as she left the room.

"Now I see where the boy gets his nonchalance around his superiors" chimed Balethor as he watched the woman leave.

"Balethor come we must go and think over a few things, it will also be nice to peek in on what the boy is doing" mentioned Agris as he began walking meaningfully towards the study.

It was upon his arrival that he was sorely mistaken and confused when there was no sign of Draig having ever entered the study, even the attendant outside the door had seen no one matching Draig's description causing some alarm in the two old men.

Soon a small group of dedicated subordinates were called and sent to scour the entirety of the manor in search of the lost Scion.

While all of this was going down Draig stuck in the library was clueless as he continued going through the books kept within this mysterious library. It wasn't that he hadn't tried to leave but the entrance he had used to get in was no longer there leaving him trapped without an escape.

'This study is mysterious, it seems it was more of a trap than goodwill that those two had permitted me here' thought Draig as he continued reading acting as if he hadn't noticed he was stuck inside.

Soon a day had passed and then that day turned into a week, before anyone knew it Draig had been missing for almost an entire two months. Agris and his brother had assumed the worst while Elisa seemed unfazed and merely scoffed, others though were secretly gloating at the loss of such a bright character in an opposing branch.

It was on the bright morning after the day that marked the second month of his absence that a loud rumbling was heard throughout the manor and several servants began to gather at the behest of their superiors.

Watching the origin of the noise they could see the walls seemingly redistributing themselves in a way that made a passage and the figure that was seen walking through that passage seemed different, at least those who knew him would say so.

Draig stood in worn clothes as he walked through the passage, his hair unkempt and he looked frailer than he had before but there was a type of pressure flowing from him that caused those watching to take a step back in fear.

Dust continuously fell from his body as he moved making for a fear instilling sight when those ruby colored eyes shone in someone's direction.

"Halt" started the apparent head of the group but Draig paid him no mind and casually brushed his hand through the air throwing the servant through the air like a leaf in the wind.

"Where are those old men" asked Draig with a raspy voice.

"Who are you speaking of" asked one of the people standing at the side.

"Agris" stated Draig

"How dare you disrespect our head" shouted a vampire at the side but this was a terrible decision, Draig was stuck inside the library for two months with nothing to revitalize him. His thirst and hunger were beyond what it would normally be.

Grasping air the vampire flew towards Draig and soon found himself shriveling much to the horror of those who were watching.

"Quick inform the head that we have trouble" shouted another just as the husk hit the ground.

"There is no need, Drevitch. You have given us all quite the scare while you were gone, tell me did you find something enlightening" came Agris voice which seemed full of power as those around had steam bubble from their skin.

"You locked me in that study" grunted Draig as he locked eyes with Agris.

"You never went to the study, I believe you went to a place much more informative." replied Agris calmly but the interest in his eyes was clear as he saw some of the vampire's standing around began to die from burning Blood.

"Come let us discuss a few things, we also need to get you enrolled in school" added Agris as he turned away and seemed to glide through the corridors.

Draig narrowed his eyes but followed none the less.
