Chapter 42 - The King Wolf!!

"Do you see the King Wolf?" Arialle whispered to me.

"Yeah I can, luckily I had gotten Ranger's Perception. It really helps me in the dark." I whispered back to her.

"What does it do?" Titus asked.

"It says, this ability makes it to where you can see in the dark like it was during the day. It also allows you to hear anything within 20 yards of myself." I whispered.

"Nice, that does help you out a lot. Now what are the King Wolf's stats?" Arialle asked.

"Hold on, I have to get a little bit closer."

I walked forward about 5 yards, and I was finally close enough to get the King Wolf's stats.

"What is wrong?" Arialle asked.

"Well, Onyx won't be able to fight. He is too weak, sadly." I said.

{Wow. . . That skill actually really helps him out. So he will be joining me in the fight!}

"So, nevermind on Onyx not joining. He just got a really good skill. I have a feeling it is meant for him to kill for food, but it is still really good!" I said.

"What skill is it?" Titus asked.

"It is called Panther's Intimidation, and this ability allows the panther to roar at the target in order to lowers its stats. The stats that drop will be Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Wisdom. They will drop by five each. This skill lasts for one minute of combat." I told them.

"Oh wow, that is nice!" Arialle commented.

{{So now I have a roar?}} Onyx asked.

'Yep! So now you can definitely join us in battling the King Wolf.'

{{Freaking sweet! I can't wait to fight him!}} Onyx exclaimed.

{{Yeah, as long as you get your roar off.}} Orion commented.

{{I will get it off!}} Onyx mentioned.

'Alright, Orion when we get there, I want you to attack him from the air, throw out seven Wind Blades at him. Onyx, your job will be to use Panther's Intimidation on him. Once he loses it, roar again. Just make sure you stay away from his bites or claws. I have a feeling it will really hurt!'

{{Gotcha!}} They both said.

"Alright, we are ready. Let me just make sure I've got potions to grab easily just in case." I told them.

"I still think you are nuts, but alright." Titus commented.

"Just please be careful Arthrall. I don't want you dying on us. . ." Arialle commented.

"I won't die, and if I do get close to dying. I'll yell for you two to join in." I said.

"Alright. . ." Arialle mentioned.

"Alright, I'm ready. I want you guys to stand at where we were earlier. I'm going to walk down the path right in front of him to keep him distracted." I told them.

"Got it." They both commented.

So we headed in the direction the King Wolf was. Arialle and Titus stopped at the spot we were earlier, and I kept on walking. Once I got close enough to the King Wolf, he started growling at me. Orion started growling at him, and Onyx did the same.

'Alright, go Orion! I want you to attack first. He will be very strong at the beginning. He has over double the amount of strength you've got.'

Once Orion said that, he charged towards the King Wolf. Once he was close enough he flew up in the air. The King Wolf tried to jump up and bite him, but he bȧrėly missed.

'Onyx, go in now and use your Panther's Intimidation!'

Onyx then ran in. He stopped about three yards away from the King Wolf, and he roared so loud that I almost had to cover my ears. The King Wolf was quite startled to the point he bent downwards and started shaking a little bit. Once Onyx's roar took effect, Orion started blasting the King Wolf with Wind Blades. I also notched five arrows into my bow.

"Multi-Barrage!" I yelled.

As soon as I said that, I let the arrows lose. They doubled the amount that was shot, and turned into 10 arrows. The arrows wizzed right past Onyx, and struck the wolf in the front.

The wolf then made a final sound, before he collapsed on the ground.

"HUH!" Titus yelled.

"Uh. . . What the fuċk? I thought it was really strong?" Arialle asked as she ran up to me.

"Honestly, I thought it was too. . ." I commented.

"How the fuċk did you kill it so fast? The fight bȧrėly lasted 15 seconds. . ." Titus asked.

"Well, I used five arrows, then I yelled Multi-Barrage which turned those five into 10 arrows. I ended up doing over 900 damage to him total. He only had 600 Health. . ." I told them.

"Only 600 Health. . . That is a freaking lot!" Titus exclaimed.

"It is, but then again. It is Arthrall that fought him." Arialle commented.

"Still, this is really weird. . ." I mentioned.

". . ." I just stood there with my eyes expanded.

"Arthrall, you alright?" Arialle asked me.

"What? . . . Oh yeah, sorry I just stared off into space." I commented.

"Oh, alright." She said.

I walked up to the King Wolf, and put him into my inventory. I then noticed something else laying where he was. It was a pair of pants.

[Pants]

"Huh, I can't view these pants. Can either of you two view them?" I asked.

I handed them over to Arialle and Titus.

"I can't, what about you Titus?" Arialle asked.

"I can't either." He said.

Arialle then handed them back over to me.

"Actually, Arialle can you put them into your bag? My bag is full right now." I asked her.

"Oh, sure I can hold them." She said.

[[Arialle: Why don't you put them into your ring?]]

[[Arthrall: I don't want them to get bloody. . . I would put them into my inventory, but Titus would see it.]]

[[Arialle: Ok, I'll hold onto them for now. Once we get back into town I'll hand them back over to you.]]

[[Arthrall: Ok dokie!]]

"Hey Titus. By any chance, did you have a map of the cave in your bag?" I asked.

"You mean the one Tracy gave us? Let me check." He said.

While he was rummaging through his bag, I decided to sit down.

'Hey Orion and Onyx. Come here, I'm going to give you both a Mana Potion.'

They then walked over to me, while I grabbed two Mana Potions out of my bag. I took the top off of both of them, and pour them into the mouths.

{{Thanks Arthrall. Even though I didn't get to use my Wind Blade too much. I only got one of them off, but your arrows hit him faster than my Wind Blade. . .}} Orion commented.

'Oh. . . I'm sorry mate. . .'

{{It is all good. Just figured I'd let you know. Hahaha}} Orion laughed.

'By the way Onyx, thank you for the roar. It really helped!'

{{No problem! I was honestly quite surprised by it myself. It was really loud!}} Onyx told me.

'Yeah it was!'

{{Indeed, I almost fell from the sky when you used it.}} Orion commented.

{{Sorry Orion. . .}} Onyx apologized.

{{Hahaha. . . No reason to be sorry bud. It is a good thing that it was so loud!}} Orion exclaimed.

"Ahah! There is a map of the cave!" Titus exclaimed.

"There is? Bring it here that way we can look at it." I told him.

Titus brought the map over to where Arialle and I was sitting down. We took a look at the map, and it wasn't that big of a cave. It only had about 3 floors to the entire cave system. Which in my opinion is kind of small for this town, but oh well. When we were looking at it, I noticed something kind of odd. There was something drawn on the lower floor, but I couldn't read it.

"Hey can either of you two read what that says on the third floor?" I asked them.

"No, sadly it is too smudged." Arialle commented.

"Same." Titus said.

"Well either way, let's go into the cave after a tiny rest. Orion and Onyx are kind of tired, and I'm still tired from earlier." I mentioned.

"Alright, we can sit here for an hour." Arialle commented.

"Right oh. . . I'm going to look through this bag then. She put some interesting stuff inside of it." Titus said.

"Alright." I said.
