Chapter 123

Name:The Tale Of Kitsuna Author:
"Luckily, it is an easy fix," I said, looking at the now-fixed gun barrel. Swing on the chain, I jumped to the ledge of the door.

'I am probably close to the prison area.' I thought, peaking through the door. To my surprise, I only saw a long hallway that's seemed to go in a circle seeing as its curving slightly inwards.

"Hmm, guess I will do that," I said. Putting away all my weapons in my storage, I changed into my smallest fox form. Looking up and down the hallway, I decided to head to the left.

'This is going to be quite boring, isn't it?' I thought, looking down the hallway of nothingness.

[1 hour later]

"I finally found the exit. To think it wasn't as simple as a circle." I said, sighing to myself a couple of times in front of a ladder leading upwards.

In the last hour, I realized that this place I landed in was made to kill people. There were multiple traps that can dealt with at any time of the fight. Speed strength extra they had everything.

I also think I explored the entire place except where the exit was because I ended up at the same door where I came like 20 times.

"Ugh, whatever, let's just hope my lick is better after this," I said, starting to go up the ladder.

"it's your turn, Dave." A man said, sitting at a table with 2 other people playing some board game.

"Ha-ha, all this money is mine!" A man shouted, rolling dice with a gleeful smile only to fall when the dice came to a stop. "What?"

"Ha-ha, 3, nice ones, Dave. Thanks for your money." One of them slammed his hands on the table.

Crash.

"You befoon, you broke the table again." The first man said, looking at the broken table.

"Aah, shit, sorry-ugh."

"You bitch." The other man said, punching him in the face.

"You!" And just like that, a brawl went down with one spectator.

'Guess this is my only chance.' I thought flash stepping behind the one spectator stabbing him in the head with a knife.

"Okay, let's see what I can get out of here," I said, burning all three corpses to dust.

Looking around the room, my eye eminently went to a metal door reinforced with much more metal and mithril.

"Okay, got to check that out later," I said, taking my eye off the door to the bookshelf. Seeing multiple black, Gray book covers, I walked up to the bookshelf and took a random book out.

"How to make a devil," I said with a heavy expression.

I shouldn't be surprised about this, but it was still problematic.

"let's just leave it for later," I mumbled, putting the entire bookshelf in my storage.

Looking around, I realized there was only the hatch metal door for entrances and exits, making it very confusing.

"Why is there only. Don't tell me I need to go back down there." I said, whining. While I was complaining to myself, I walked up to the heavily guarded door.

Looking the door over, I could only whɨnė to myself again.

"Multiple layers of metal with a locking system that would put most engineers to shame. Luckily, I mean this world's engineers. To earth, this is child's play." I said, making a couple of ice keys in my hand.

"Hmm, let's see how long it will take me," I said, crouching down getting level with the 5 key locks.

[5 min later]

"Okay, it uses mana as well, huh. Quite a net and frustrating thing. Sigh, guess no other choice but to burn it." I said, putting my hand on the door before pushing my fire mana into the door.

Not a minute later, I saw the door turn red and meltdown.

"Devil fire is way too strong," I mumbled, walking over a frozen part of the melted door into a white hallway.

Reaching the end of the hallway, I saw an open space with some magic language or inscriptions on the floor with a giant cross in the center going up 7 meters with the roof being 10 meters high.

Looking up at the cross, I saw a bloody person with black hair and a clean white gown on?

"Wait, no way," I said, taking a second look at the person. Jumping up at the crosses middle I untied the person before jumping off it again with her.

"Shit, to find her here. At a time like this." I said, glancing at Marquis Anabald. Checking on her vitals, I sighed in relief that she was at least alive but not in good shape.

"She probably hasn't eaten in weeks," I said, just feeling bones.

"There isn't much I can do for that. Let's get a note ready first." I said, inclosing the entire room with ice.

"There. hope she would understand and not kill me." I said, cutting my hand open. Holding my hand over her mouth, I infuse my regen into the blood, making me go paler.

[??? Pov]

'Ugh, my head still hurts, and why is it so cold. What drug this they use this time.' I thought, opening my eyes only to close them immediately because of the sharp light.

"Ugh, why is it so bright," I said, starting to open my eyes again, but this time slowly.

White. That is, all I could see was white. Confused at my situation, I looked to my side to see a redhead with white tips hair. She wasn't looking at me now as she was hanging her head.

"Who the hell are you?" I said, looking at the figure warily.

"Hey, I am talking to you," I said, annoyed, slapping the figure on the shoulder.

Flop.

"Hey, are you dead?" I said, sitting up.

"Huh, why do I have the strength to move so easily," I said, confused, looking at my bony arms.

"Oh, something fell off me." While I was moving, I saw a piece of paper fall off my stomach. Picking it up, I saw some things were written on it.

"Hmm, Yo, my name is Kitsuna drag, adopted daughter of the Draigs. I don't know if you know about me, but yeah. Anyways I healed you using all my mana hence being passed out. On the floor now. So, I will only wake up in about an hour or so. I left some food out for you. You haven't eaten for a couple of weeks so take it slowly. I don't know how well my healing has worked on you so please really take it super slow. Ps, the room is protected by my ice magic. There won't be anybody getting through that in the next hour. So, you can really take it easy until I wake up." I read with a complicated expression.

'She could have made it briefer.' I thought, sighing before looking at the unconscious Kitsuna.

"Kyaaaaa!?" I shouted in fright, seeing fox-like eyes looking at me.

"Oh, sorry, didn't mean to give you a fright." The fox known as Kitsuna said with an apologetic expression.

"Fucken hell fox, you know I am weakened at the moment, and you do something like that," I shouted, sighing.

"Hehe, sorry, sorry." She said, clapping her hands together and nodding.

"I thought we would be out for an hour," I said with a raised eyebrow.

"I probably was. it just took you so long to heal, I think." She said, pointing at my bony body.

"True, that might be it," I said, sighing.

"Anyways here eat, eat you will need some strength. I think Kayda and them will be here in a little while." She said, handing me a bowl of soup.

"Kayda?" I said, confused, taking the soup.

"Kayda, the sage, we came to the Anabald territory to find you." She said, pointing at me again.

"Me? Who sent you."?

"No one, really. Kayda came out of concern mostly. I just tagged along."

"Tagged along? Yeah, sure, whatever you say." I said, not believing her.

"When we are back at the mansion, we will have a proper talk." She said, sighing.

"Seeing that you actually found me and everything. I guess you know about the cult?" I said taking a north boil of food.

"Which one. The angles or devils?" She said, jokingly making me choke on the soup.

"Cough cough, dammit, don't make me laugh," I said, choking on the food.

"Sorry, normally, people won't laugh." She said, nodding.

"Anyways, I meant the devil cult," I said, getting back to the food.

"Oh yes, we have met them and fought them a couple of times." She said, nosing again.

"I see, so how is my daughter doing alone."

"... how do I explain this." She said with a small pass making me worry.

"She wasn't killed or kidnapped or anything, right?" I asked worriedly.

"No, she is fine. Just at the moment, she is knocked out in her bed sleeping for quite some time."

"Knocked out? Why did you say it like that?"

"Ah, she irritated me, and I strangled her until she passed out," Kitsuna said, looking away.
