Clovis noticed her interest in the paper, he wondered, not for the first time, if she truly understood what they were saying. Then again there could be a magic pull from the mark. It struck him a bit just how little he knew about the magic that bound his familiar to his side. Perhaps it was time to learn a bit more.
"Come sit. You can look over the contract and then sign it, then we will begin discussing the party." The Emperor added uncovering the ink that his servant had ground shortly beforehand. Clovis took his seat beside the emperor and read over the paper. Kyera looked over the edge, trying to catch a glimpse of it. The Emperor chuckled at her brazen nature.
'Don't get so close to the table, kyera.' Rasha warned her softly, his rumbling voice much better suited to Feline speak. She looked over at the dark furred lion and sighed. She knew he was right. There was no reason to get herself in trouble. With a soft sigh, she stepped back and walked to Rasha, nodding at him before laying down a bit crestfallen. Rasha moved over, giving her a space near himself. This way her back was to the wall but she could still see everything without being in a corner.
'Thanks Rasha. How's the wound?' kyera purred softly, distracting herself from the Prince and Emperor. If she didn't she was going to want to try and sneak the contract and she knew it.
'Well enough, how are you handling life in the palace?' Rasha countered with a lazy yawn. He settled back into a sprawled out pose. Kyera chose to keep her dignity in tact, sitting straight and tall.
'Alright. I can't quite manage the sleeping inside thing yet.' Her grumbling reply was met by a teasing smirk.
"I see someone is taking well to grooming at least." Rasha teased motioning to the dangle bit beside her ear. The Blue stones standing out against her black striped ears. Kyera shot him a death glare, before turning to look at the table. A soft burning came from the mark on her chest, like something was being etched into her flesh. She looked in time to see Clovis setting the brush back on the table. The contract being folded and placed in his tunic.
That earned a peek of interest. As long as he took it home, Kyera could convince him to show it to her. Perhaps she could steal it. If he left it on a table or forgot it was in his tunic when they got ready for bed that eve. A few other possible plans went through her mind and Clovis and his father began to talk.
Kyera didn't pay them much attention. Her mind was still on the howl. 'Had there been a response yet? Did it work during the day? Thinking back she never heard howling in the daylight. Was there a magic too it that was activated by night time? Was she overthinking this? Probably.' she admitted to herself, growling in frustration. Rashan turned and looked at her raising his brows, body language hinting she had done something wrong.
Kyera stood and walked to Clovis, deliberately seeming sulky rather than angry. She bumped her head into his thigh. Clovis sighed stroking her hair. "I will have to learn you as we go." he chuckled. She laid down by him, her head on his thigh. Her sad sigh came from her heart, and they say heart speaks to heart… and he felt her pain.
