322 Rose Scented One

Name:The Tiger Within Author:Valinteena
The air grew cold and heavy, electricity seemed to spark and swirl in the air. Ella moved behind the partition with her lace masterpiece, shielding herself from the onslaught. Kyera's anger brought out the details in her that resembled the king of death. Anger in her eyes like ice within the highest mountain peak cave that is never kissed by the sun.

Akira realized several moments too late that Kyera's power was much greater than that she was gifted with. The shadows seemed to quiver or delight in response to her emotions. She couldn't take the words back, and stood her ground. Akira knew she was in the right this time. However, Kyera slowly approached, like a predator to stand before a worthless prey.

"Raina is not someone you will ever call so formally. She is not, and never will be your anything unless its Princess. I don't want you in her life, nor do I want you in the life of any child that is born of my womb." Kyera hissed her eyes flashing with light. The are crackled with the force of her words and flames of candles threatened to extinguish themselves to escape her.

"Kyera be reasonable.  She will never be accepted by our people. She's one of them." Akira tried to change tactics, realizing her daughter's anger. There was more of a attachment between Princess and Tigress than she had expected. Kyera laughed, but it wasn't a reassuring sound to say the least. It was mocking and cruel.

"Oh? What do you know about our people, Mother?" the word was a mocking curse. "You betrayed them and they hate you for it. Also, I will tell you a secret." Kyera purred leaning in to place her lips next to the older woman's perfect ear. "The Elders sanctioned the marriage. Daxin is Raina's teacher." she whispered before placing a light kiss to her cheek. The touch of skin to skin burned with the energy pouring from Kyera. She stepped away mercifully, the red mark on her cheek like a burn on Akira's cheek, marking her perfect visage.

"Kyera, you have to listen…" she began but the door opened with energy. She turned and growled angrily but the child hardly noticed her.

Raina walked into the room and straight to Kyera. She knelt down to the child's level embracing her in a loving hug. Raina giggled in delight and hugged her mother to be right back. Within mere seconds all the tension and power in the room seemed to dissipate. Nothing else mattered as long as the child was there and Kyera was making that perfectly obvious. She spared a moment of thought for Akira and shot a glare at her, she had no right to be part of their moment.

"You did not interrupt, this woman was just leaving. I have no further interest in what she has to say. Let me change clothes, little Princess, then we will go." Kyera replied pointedly. She walked behind the curtain to change back into her normal dress. The lightweight and simple design elegant and regal, perfect for a Princess.

"Kyera I am…" Akira began and the guard grabbed her arm.

"just leaving." the guard forced the ending onto her sentence though it was not what she had intended to say. He didn't care, having felt the oppression of angry from his Princess, he had no intention if letting this woman disobey her.

Princess Raina felt the tension and nodded at the guard, her eyes beseeching Lazren to remove this woman. Things were too uncomfortable just now. He nodded and took Akira away.

"Go, and I don't suggest you get any Ideas or your daughter will find out exactly what side your dancing for, Rose scented one." Lazren growled under his breath. There was a certain threat to his voice that chilled her to the core.

"Does she know what you are?" Akira countered and Lazren frowned. It was obvious Kyera had no idea.
