The sound of screaming and the rush of feet outside the door drew everyone's attention and Kyera's heart felt uneasy. Something was wrong. She hardly had time to move toward the door before the door slammed open. Everyone jumped except for Talis who barely twitched. In the doorway a man so changed by terror that Kyera hardly recognized her husband, in his night clothes a total mess from head to toe. Her heart stopped as he spoke. She knew the words before they ever left his lips the baby in her womb seemed to still as well.
"Kyera, Raina's gone." The words made Kyera's heart drop as Clovis appeared in the doorway. There was a sense of panic in his Clovis' eyes as he burst into the room. "Window has been smashed and she's gone." His eyes were wild as he looked at her, praying for some sort of guidance. Kyera had always been able to find the child before… he prayed for a miracle even now.
"Oh God, its begun." Akira whispered tears here eyes. Kyera's heart stopped. Every one turned to her mother who looked as though her heart was breaking. She turned to her mother and took a deep breath, trying to center all those fears so she could do what must be done. Her mother shook her head slowly.
"Where are they taking her?" Kyera demanded from her mother who shook her head. Fate was so cruel, giving her the chance to explain only to make it worth nothing. Her daughter was looking to her for help once again, and all she had were sad words to impart.
"They aren't supposed to take the children… her body should have been in her bed." Akira replied and Clovis screamed in anguish and anger. Kyera forced herself to stay strong and sent a call to the Shadow Realm and begged her father and aunt to protect her baby if she was still on earth, and if she no longer breathed, she prayed they would care for her soul till Kyera could join her again.
"You knew! You knew they would come after my daughter, you witch." Clovis growled anger filling him and replacing any sense the boy normally had. Kyera threw her arms around his waist and stopped him, hauling him back before he could attack Akira. He looked at her accusingly but then that look seemed to die as he saw the look in his wife's eyes.
"Clovis, was the fairy in her room?" Kyera demanded looking into clovis's eyes and he suddenly looked completely confused. What did that have to do with anything?
"WHy does that matter? Kyera she's gone. She's dead…. God my baby is gone." Clovis cried as he began to crumple. Kyera slowly lowered so he hit the ground and be patient. No one knew what was going on in the princess' head.

"No the Fairy is gone." Kan told them as he jogged back into the room, his breathing ragged from running. Kyera nodded and said a silent prayer of thanks that Raina had kept the fairy close.
