264 River Of Blood

Yang Enterprise.

The presence of two powerful men clashed in the spacious room. It felt cramped in here, as every inch of the atmosphere was overtaken by them. Piping hot tea was served on the coffee table, but both cups were untouched and as time passed by, they became cold and stale. Not a single sound could be heard, except for the occasional ticks from the clock on the wall.

Zhao Moyao was seated directly in front of Yang Feng whose posture had not changed ever since he sat down. He always found it hard to understand what Yang Feng was thinking, especially since the young man was practically born with a poker face.

"You've captured my son." Zhao Moyao began the conversation after he was tired of the silence. "What for?" He flicked his wrist and another teapot along with a pair of cups were brought out.

Li Xuan poured his boss a cup of tea and then poured one for Yang Feng, replacing the previous one in front of him.

"He kidnapped your granddaughter." Yang Feng solemnly said. "He planned on erasing her memories and selling her off to a foreign marriage for profit."

"Was it pointless to torture my eldest then?" Zhao Moyao took a sip of his Wuyi Oolong tea. When he was contacted for this meeting, he was first informed of what had happened yesterday.

"He planned on bringing Zhao Corporation into ruins." Yang Feng shrugged. He did not feel remorse for all of the innocent lives he had to sacrifice just to keep Zhao Lifei safe. "Furthermore, he had thoughts of drugging my woman."

Zhao Moyao always found it intriguing how Yang Feng could maintain a nonchalant expression on his face and not lose a wink of sleep over crimes like this. "And what if her father was not the one behind the kidnapping?"

"All leads tie back to him."

"But how can you be so sure?"

"I trust my people." Yang Feng coldly replied. He did not like it when his authority was questioned, but for the sake of Zhao Lifei, he kept his temper to himself. He already treaded in dangerous waters by capturing two of her relatives. To harm her grandfather would be a sin he could never wash his hands of.

"What will you do with him?"

"What do you think I should do?" Yang Feng picked up his cup of tea and leisurely took a sip of it. He planned on giving the man a fate worse than death.

"You're leaving me in a very tough predicament." Zhao Moyao let out small, cunning laughter. A fox smile rested on his face, as fake as the smile of Wang Nuoli. "You've already captured two of my sons, what shall I do when it's time to select heirs?"

"Easy. Choose Zhao Lifei."

At this, Zhao Moyao let out a laughter that boomed off the walls. Hearty and very amused, he could barely keep the smile off of his face. "It's nice to see you have my granddaughter's best intentions at heart, but you must realize, she is already occupied with Feili."

"She can manage both." Yang Feng had absolute trust in her capabilities. If she needed help, he would gladly drop everything and go to her.

"Hm, but that would be unfair to my other grandchildren who are eagerly waiting for my retirement."

"Give them major shares, but no more than Zhao Lifei's."

Zhao Moyao's lips were stretched into a smile that reached his crafty eyes. It seems there is no limit to this boy's pampering and he did not know if he should cry or laugh at the news. "You're smitten by her. Does your grandfather know of this?"

"No." Yang Feng deliberately left out the lies he said that day. Zhao Lifei could understand him, but there was a high possibility Zhao Moyao would be offended.

"Your grandfather is not a senile old fool with a deteriorating brain. He will eventually discover the truth."

"And I'll be here when he does." Yang Feng confidently replied. He was not fazed at such a harmless idea. His men were ready. The security around Zhao Lifei was ready. Nothing could take or hurt her, not on his watch.

Zhao Moyao studied Yang Feng's face. How does one man become so stoic? His eyes were as lifeless and bleak as he had always remembered, even though a ball of light tumbled into his life. He wondered, exactly how many people this man has killed with the very hand which he offered to his granddaughter. How many lives has he ruined? How much has he suffered to become like this? For odd reasons, he could not shake off the memory of a young boy in bloodied clothes assembling a gun faster than an assassin. It was a race. The first person that constructed the gun got to shoot the other person. Yang Feng evidently won, shooting the man blankly in the head.

"I see you have gotten rid of that secretary. Something you should've done long ago."

"Yes, she was upsetting my woman."

Zhao Moyao chuckled. "She was always upsetting my granddaughter. You have just realized?"

Yang Feng chose not to comment.

"If you take my son, who shall provide for his wife and children?"

"The wife is a Wang and the daughter is a Zhao." Yang Feng scoffed, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. With such powerful names, they would never starve.

Zhao Moyao threw his head back and laughed. "Yes, they are. I suppose they will never suffer any misfortune if they keep their heads down and live peacefully."

"Unless they're involved in the kidnapping as well." Yang Feng easily responded, resting the side of his head on his fist. If they were involved, he did not care how long the river of blood would be stretched. Every rat must be exterminated.

"And how will you explain things to my granddaughter when she discovers that you've kidnapped her father and have plans to massacre her entire family?"

Yang Feng raised a brow. "She does not need those lowlives. Our future family will suffice."

Zhao Moyao could not believe how cheeky and arrogant this boy was. There was something about the way he spoke regarding their future as if he was so sure it was already set in stone. Unless…"Did you get a marriage license with my granddaughter?!"

Yang Feng did not comment. He kept his eyes forward, clashing with Zhao Moyao's.

"Yang Heng, you sneaky, scheming punk."

"What makes you think I did?" Yang Feng asked, the edge of his lip tilted into a slight smirk. "And what makes you think I didn't?"

"Do not speak in riddles with me, if I go to my granddaughter right now, she will give me the definite truth. So spit it out, did you go to the marriage bureau with her?" Zhao Moyao slammed down his teacup. This was not good news. Especially with a crazy General hunting her down, a man who would kill to get her back in his clutches.

"Why don't you go ask her then?" Yang Feng stood up just as Chen Gaonan walked in.

"President Yang, pardon my intrusion, but the meeting with Anxion Technology will begin in ten minutes."

Zhao Moyao stayed in his position and flicked his hand. Li Xuan came over. "Notify Anxion Technology that the meeting has been pushed to thirty minutes later. My discussion with Yang Heng is not finished."

Yang Feng's deadly eyes settled upon Zhao Moyao. "You've gotten very bold, old man."

"Likewise, you brat." Zhao Moyao grunted out.

"The meeting with Anxion Technology will proceed as planned." Yang Feng stormed out of his office, but the men stationed outside did not let him take a single step forward.

Yang Feng scoffed. One snap of his fingers and armed men stepped out from the shadows, guns pointed, red dot lasers set in place.

Zhao Moyao's men were clearly intimidated, but none of them showed it. They held their ground, even though five of them could not be able to take down one of Yang Feng's highly-trained men. The people assigned to protect him were the best among the best this country has ever witnessed. And, without a doubt, the ones around Zhao Lifei were even better.

Zhao Moyao stepped near Yang Feng and in a hushed but stern and rough voice, asked, "Did you or did you not marry my granddaughter?" No one else heard him except for Yang Feng.

Yang Feng ignored his question and left the room. When he did so, no one could hold him back anymore. He did as he pleased.

Zhao Moyao glowered at the back of the young man, tall and wide, disappearing down the hallways, accompanied by his private team and bodyguards who were nowhere in sight, but still present.

Zhao Moyao gritted his teeth and turned to Li Xuan. "Prepare the car, we're heading to Cerulean Water Pavilions."
