Another day had passed.
Zalvo and his sons were having dinner in the dining room.
He addressed the boys. "What are you going to do tonight, guys?" he asked.
"We're going swimming in the basement pool!" Nathan replied in glee.
Zalvo's brows furrowed. "You are going swimming in there at this time?" he asked in confusion.
"Yeah... the water is clean. Swim with us, Father! It would be fun!" Nathan said.
Zalvo gave Corbin an inquiring glance. "How's the water in there?" he asked.
Corbin smiled. "Just like what Nathan said, the water is indeed clean, Father," he confirmed.
"Okay... boys have fun. I'll go to the ritual room and check your mother," Zalvo said.
"Let's go there together after we finished eating our meal, Father," Corbin said.
Zalvo sighed. "I found this place lonely and empty after your mother is gone," he said gloomily.
"Indeed, this place is lonely," Corbin agreed.
Nathan's face turned sad. "I miss Mother's presence so much!" he said dismally.
Silence engulfed the dining room.
They resumed eating. In their minds, they're wondering what happened to Sylvia in the netherworld.
A few minutes later.
The men finished eating dinner and vacated the room. They proceed to the ritual room underground.
When they arrived at the ritual room, no noticeable changes can be seen. Both Sylvia and the guy's unconscious bodies were still in the same position.
Zalvo went to his wife's side and stared at her beautiful face. "Wife, where are you? What took you so long to come back here in the land of the living?" he asked.
Corbin looked at her mother's face. "Father, do you think mother encounter some difficulties in the netherworld?" he asked.
Zalvo sighed. "That's possible. Inquiring about your grandfather's soul and finding the soul of this guy here is not that hard because your mother know the guardians there. Unless, those people are no longer in the position," he replied.
"Is there no other way we can reached her and send her message in the netherworld just to know her current condition?" Corbin asked.
Zalvo shook his head. "Sad to say, there's nothing we can do but wait. I will gladly do anything to know what's happening to her. Unless I'll go there myself and die in the process. I might not be able to return here alive," he said.
"We will just wait for mother's come back, Father. I'm sure that she will return anytime soon," Nathan said confidently.
"I hope so," Zalvo replied, uncertainty already clouding his mind. He settled on the chair beside his wife's bed. He looked at his youngest son. "Prepare the coffin. If your mother can't still return tonight then we have to put her inside the coffin to preserved her body," he said.
"Okay, Father," Nathan said. "I'll go and check the coffin in the next room," he said and left.
Zalvo and Corbin spent their time looking at Sylvia.
Corbin looked at his father. "What's going to happen if mother can't return to her body?" he asked.
Zalvo heaved a sigh. "Just like what happened to your brother Nathan, we will preserved her body and wait until she returned to us. That's the only thing we can do," he responded.
"How long the waiting will last, Father?" Corbin asked.
"Until forever," Zalvo answered grimly.
Corbin took a deep breath, feeling melancholy all of a sudden.
A few minutes later, Nathan returned to the room and reported to his father, "The coffin is ready..." he said.
"Good!" Zalvo remarked.
The men stayed in the ritual room for a while.
Zalvo addressed his two sons. "You can leave the room if you want. I'll just stay here a little bit longer to be with your mother," he said.
Corbin and Nathan nodded their heads and exited the room.
While walking in the hallway.
Nathan looked at his brother. "I'm going to take a dip in the pool before going to sleep," he said.
"Okay, enjoy swimming! I'll join you there if I'm in the mood," Corbin replied.
After they reached the end of the hallway, the brothers went their separate ways. Corbin went to his room upstairs while Nathan went to the basement to swim before retiring for the night.
He opened the door and went inside the basement. He turned on the lights and discarded his clothes leaving his shorts to cover his lower body.
He jumped into the water and swim to the rooms, going in and going out. He finds it fun and entertaining to do so.
He's waiting for his brother Corbin to join him in the basement so that he will have some company while swimming.
He dived into the bottom and come up again to the surface to breathe fresh air.
He repeated the same process several times, finding it enjoyable.
....
Meanwhile, at the Windless Mountain.
Elva entered Veronica's room. She placed the crystal ball on the table.
Veronica was putting the necklace with a medallion pendant around her neck and climbed the bed. She lies in a straight position, staring at the ceiling.
"Relax for a few minutes before we proceed..." Elva ordered.
Veronica nodded her head, breathing in and out in a relaxed manner.
"Tell me if you're ready to go..." Elva said.
"Okay," Veronica replied.
"I'll go to the kitchen to get some water, "Elva said and exited the room.
She returned five minutes later with a pitcher of water and glass, she put them on the table and looked at Veronica. "Are you ready?" she asked.
"Yeah," Veronica replied with a nod of her head.
"Okay, let's do it!" Elva said. "Closed your eyes, stay alert and be careful!"
"I will... "Veronica said and shut her eyes.
...
Back at the vampire couple's manor.
Nathan was still swimming alone in the basement, he's currently back at the top of the stairs about to dive into the water again.
Then suddenly...
The water created bubbles. He saw a human form at the bottom, rising fast on the surface.
Veronica's head popped in the surface of the water and her eyes came in contact with the young lord.
Nathan quickly put his hands on his mouth to silence her and motioned the door.
Veronica's brows furrowed in confusion.
Nathan went near her.
"I'm Luke! My spirit occupies the body of Nathan! Come back tomorrow, early morning at 5:00! I'll wait here! We will rescue Graven and Grandpa Terros together! But you have to leave now because my brother might come here any moment! Hurry up! Go now!" Nathan said in a low voice.
Veronica wasted no time and vanished from the surface of the water in the blink of an eye.
Nathan took a deep breath, feeling relieved.
Suddenly, the door opened and Corbin stepped inside. "I'm here to join you, bro!" he said and discarded his clothes.
"Fantastic!" Nathan smiled brightly.
Corbin dived into the water followed by Nathan.
They made a big splash together.
...
Back at the Windless Mountain.
Veronica was back in her room drenched in water from the pool.
"What happen there?" Elva asked.
"I'll explain later after I will get rid of my wet clothing," Veronica replied.
"Okay... go to the bathroom now," Elva said.
Veronica entered the bathroom and took a quick bath.
Elva was walking back and forth on the floor, she was caressing her baby bump gently.
A few minutes later, the door of the bathroom opened and Veronica exited.
Elva lowered herself on the bed.
Veronica sat beside her.
Elva looked at Veronica. "You come back too soon. What happen? The basement still filled with water?" she asked.
Veronica nods her head. "Yeah. That's why I'm drenched with water. When I came out in the surface I saw the young lord and he told me that he was Luke's spirit that occupied Nathan's body. He wants me to return tomorrow morning at 5:00 to rescue Graven and Grandpa Terros!" she said excitedly.
Elva's eyes shone with gladness. "That's a good news!"
"Yeah! We've been wondering why Nathan was acting differently from his mother. And why he wants to save me and Grandpa Terros, now I know why!" Veronica said happily.
"What's going to happen tomorrow?" Elva asked.
"I think he will bring me to the room where Graven's body was being held and then also to the room where Grandpa Terros was imprisoned," Veronica explained.
Elva took a deep breath. "Nothing must stop you from rescuing them tomorrow! I'll give you a magical silver jar that can keep Luke's soul safely if he doesn't want to bring with him the body that he occupies right now," she said.
"That's a good idea!" Veronica beamed.
A silver jar suddenly appeared in Elva's palm, she gave it to Veronica. "This will ensure that Luke's soul will be safe when you finally return here," she said.
Veronica hold the jar and it vanished a few seconds later.
"Let's go to the terrace and discuss your mission tomorrow morning," Elva said and left the room.
Veronica followed the deity into the terrace.
In the next few hours, they discussed their plan and think of any possible problem that may arise during the rescue operation.
They want to be prepared just in case something comes up that can derail their plan.
...
Back at the vampire couple's manor.
Corbin and Nathan were resting at the top of the stairs, looking at the water that filled the entire basement.
"I will drain the water tonight and have it replenished with fresh water tomorrow morning so that if we decide to go for a swim, the water is already clean," Nathan said.
"Okay, do anything you wish brother!" Corbin said and rose to his feet. "I'm done swimming. I'll go back to my room," he said and grabbed the towel that hang at the hook located at the back of the door.
"See you tomorrow, bro!" Nathan said.
Corbin nods his head and exited.
Nathan was left alone in the basement. He stared intensely at the water, his mind was already busy thinking about his plan for tomorrow morning. He hoped the rescue will go smoothly so that they all can finally go home safely.
He's feeling excited for tomorrow!
He will order the servants to drain the water right away.
He covered his body with the towel and left the basement.
