Back at the Windless Mountain.
Terros makes sure that Luke can express his gratitude to the ladies first before eating their meal that night. So he brought Luke into the living room and that was also the time that Elva finished resting and exiting her room.
"Goddess... Luke have something to tell you..." he said.
Elva looked at Graven's twin that looked exactly like him.
Luke bowed his head and conveyed his gratitude to the deity. "Thank you so much for helping Veronica during the rescue mission, goddess. We are all indebted to you," he said humbly.
Elva smiled. "Don't mention it. I'm glad to help you all," she responded cheerfully. "If nothing else, I'm going to the healing room to check on Graven," she said and left the living room.
Luke watched the goddess walk towards the healing room and blurted, "She's amazing! The most kind and generous goddess ever!"
"I agree... we're so lucky to meet her! One of a kind!" Terros smiled. "Let's proceed to the kitchen so that you can talk to Veronica," he said.
The men went to the kitchen.
Veronica was busy arranging the dishes on the table.
"Daughter, can we have your attention for a minute?" Terros said.
Veronica looked at them. "Sure, what is it?" She stopped what she's doing and went to their sides. She looked at Luke. "How are you feeling now?" she asked.
Luke smiled brightly. "I'm feeling better, thanks for asking," he replied. "Veronica, I would like to thank you for saving me, Grandpa and my brother from the clutches of the enemy. You are so brave and one hell of an amazing woman! I'm super impressed. I'm your fan forever!" he said with a grin.
Veronica laughed in amusement. "I'm not impressed with what I've done. I only got brave due to the powerful medallion that the deity had lend to me. I'm glad to be of help to you, guys. I'll do it again if I needed to. Anyways, since you're already here... let's eat dinner. Take your seat... I'm going to the healing room to inform Elva that dinner is ready," she said and left the kitchen.
The men settled at the table.
Back at the healing room.
Elva was observing Graven's face when Veronica entered the room.
"How it's going?" Veronica went to the bed.
A frown appeared on Elva's head. "There's still no sign of him waking up yet. I need to try my other medicine tomorrow if we can't get any result today," she replied with a heavy sigh.
"The table is ready. Let's eat dinner first and discuss Graven's situation after we finish eating," Veronica said.
"Okay," Elva said with a nod. She covered Graven's body with the while blanket.
The women exited the room and went to the kitchen. They settled at the table.
Elva looked at her visitors and smiled brightly. "Guys, I'm glad to share these delicious dishes with you, especially cooked by Veronica for this special occasion. Let's enjoy the good food and the company of each other!" she said.
"Alright, let's eat!" Terros beamed.
They began putting foods on their plates and starts eating in comfortable silence, occasionally discussing Graven's situation now and then.
Half an hour later.
They finished eating dinner and were relaxing at the terrace, drinking grapefruit juice.
Luke was enjoying the wonderful scenery at the top of the mountain. "What an incredible view you got here, goddess! I'm mind-blown! Spectacular and amazing. The sea of clouds is real! Simply your place is a paradise on earth!" he raved.
Elva smiled. "That's why I chose my residence at the top of this mountain because I fall in love with the panoramic view surrounding this mountain. So pleasing to the eyes and soothing to the soul," she elaborated.
Luke agreed. "Indeed!" he said and gave the goddess a thumb up.
After a while...
Luke looked at Terros and the two women. "Guys, I really need to go home now. I have no idea what happened to my business, my houses and my servants. I need to go home - asap!" he said worriedly.
"Alright, I'll leave with you, son," Terros said and rose to his feet.
Luke looked at the deity. "Can I come here some other time? I just want to visit my brother?" he asked.
"Sure, just inform Terros first with the schedule," Elva said. "Because there are some days that I don't want to be disturb when it comes to my treatment with Graven. I hope you understand..."
"Of course, I understand, goddess. Thank you for allowing me to visit your home again. I appreciated it very much," Luke said.
Elva smiled at Luke. "You're welcome."
"Goddess, I will return here a few hours from now. I'll continue watching over Graven so that you can also take a rest," Terros told the deity.
Elva smiled. "That would be nice. I need someone who can stay overnight in Graven's side to monitor his condition and informed me right away if something comes up," she said.
"That will be me!" Terros said eagerly. 'We'll go now..."
"Bye Goddess, bye Veronica... 'till we meet again," Luke said.
"Bye!" the women replied in unison.
Terros and Luke vanished from the terrace.
A moment later.
The men appeared in front of Terros's bamboo house.
Terros looked at Luke. "We're finally here, son. Are you going home now? Or do you still want to stay in my house for a few minutes and share a cup of coffee with me?" he offered.
Luke shook his head. "I would love to have some coffee with you, Grandpa, but I need to go home first. After everything is okay, I'll return here," he replied.
"Okay, just come here early morning because that would be the time I'm here at my house. I need to water my plants and feed my poultry. Then after I'm done with my house chore, I'll go back to the Windless Mountain to stay with Graven in the healing room overnight," Terros elaborated.
"Ah, okay. So, you won't be here anytime of the day, just early morning. I got it! Grandpa, thank you so much for taking good care of my brother. I owe you so much," Luke said.
Terros patted Luke's shoulder. "Don't mention it. Go now because you have to deal with a lot of things when you arrive to your place..."
"Can I come here directly at your place? You didn't allow me to enter your place before-?" Luke asked in bewilderment.
Terros smiled. "The time is different now, when you told me that you no longer pursue Laura, I know that I can finally trust you from that moment onward. I just hope that you and your brother will finally reconcile with each after Graven wakes up," he said.
Luke smiled. "Of course, I have already move on from our past. My brother and I will settle our differences soon once he wakes up," he said. "I gotta get going now, Grandpa. Thank you for allowing me free entrance to your domain. Don't worry - I won't disappoint you," he assured him.
"I know you won't. It's about time to find your soulmate. That one that you can call your own. Good luck, son!"
Luke grinned. "Definitely, but that's not my priority right now. When the time is right I will pursue it," he said. "By the way... I noticed that the deity is pregnant. Who is the father?" he asked curiously.
Terros laughed. "Let's not gossip about the father of Elva's unborn child. All I know is that the goddess has a human lover in the past but Veronica didn't know about the guy's true identity. It's the deity's private life, let's leave it at that..."
"Alright, I'll go now... bye Grandpa!" Luke finally said.
"Bye son! Take care... see you soon!" Terros said.
A moment later.
Luke disappeared in front of Terros.
Grandpa proceed to climb the stairs and entered his abode.
He open the lights and entered his room and changed his clothes. He took a bag from the cabinet and put some clothes and toiletries inside.
Half an hour later.
Terros left his home teleporting back to the Windless Mountain.
A few minutes later.
He appeared on the terrace at the deity's abode.
Veronica was there relaxing on the sofa. "Grandpa, you're back!"
"Yeah, I only took a few of my clothes with me so that I can change anytime," he replied. "Where is Elva?"
Veronica replied, "In the healing room."
"Can we disturb her?" he asked.
"Yes, of course. Let's go..." Veronica said.
They left the terrace, entered the house, and went to the healing room.
They knocked on the door first, not wanting to disturb the deity just in case she was in the middle of medicating Graven.
"Come in, the door is open..." Elva's reply comes from the inside.
They pushed the door open and entered the room.
Elva looked at Terros. "You're back early..." she commented.
"Yeah! I just took some clothes from my house and come back right away. I'm eager to serve Graven the best I could, he's like a son to me," Terros replied feeling emotional.
Elva smiled. "Nice to know that you're eager to watch Graven because I honestly don't know how long he will be like this. But I will try everything - just to bring him back to life."
"Thank you in advance for your hard work and dedication in helping Graven, goddess," Terros said appreciatively.
"Well... It's the least I can do for my..." Elva didn't finish her sentence. Instead, she caressed her tummy lovingly. She has almost forgotten that the old man didn't know that Graven was the father of her unborn child. Only she and Veronica know about the truth.
Terros coughed a little. "Um... goddess...I have something to tell you. When I visited Graven's wife, Laura. The poor woman begged me to visit her husband at least one or twice a week.. Is it possible? Would you allow Laura to visit her husband twice a week here in your place?" he asked.
