Graven woke up at the break of dawn, kissed his wife goodbye, and teleported back to his father Nicholas' place. He landed at his house at the back of the mansion.
Horace was still sleeping soundly in the next room. There was a half-filled empty bottle of red wine on the table. Graven put the wine back in the cupboard and put the glass on the sink.
Then he exited the house, strolled in the garden, and walked on the path leading to the house. He entered the door at the back of the house and passed through the kitchen where two servants are busy preparing dishes for breakfast.
"Good morning, my lord!" the two servants conveyed their greetings, bowing their heads.
"Good morning!" Graven replied with a smile.
"Do you want a cup of coffee, my lord?" one of the maids asked.
"Yes, please. Bring it to the veranda," Graven replied.
"Aye, my lord!" the maid said.
Graven proceed to the living room and continue to the veranda. He settled on the couch and stared at the cascading water at the fountain, located on the right side of the front garden.
The maid carrying a wooden tray arrived at the veranda and placed the coffee and biscuit on the table. "Anything else, my lord?" she asked.
"That's all for now," Graven replied.
The maid left and return to the kitchen to resume her work.
Back in the veranda.
Graven was sipping his coffee, enjoying the morning breeze.
Half an hour later.
Nicholas exited the house and joined Graven on the veranda.
"Good morning, Father!" Graven greeted him cheerfully.
"Good morning, son!" Nicholas replied.
"How's your sleep last night, Father?" Graven asked.
"Good!" Nicholas replied.
A maid arrived and placed a cup of coffee mixed with milk for Nicholas. The maid left the veranda and went back to the house.
Nicholas looked at his son. "Are you leaving after breakfast?" he asked.
"Yes, Father. I'll make rounds on my businesses and check my men stationed around the South Pond Town," Graven replied.
"Visit us more often, okay?" Nicholas requested.
"Yes, of course, Father!" Graven replied.
"Thanks, son!" Nicholas said happily.
The men sipped their coffees, enjoying each other's company. They were joined by Cooper five minutes later. They discussed the family business, life in general, and the town's remarkable progress in the recent months, and how to take advantage of those recent changes that would bring more profits to their coffer.
One hour later.
The maid arrived and announced cheerfully. "Breakfast is ready!"
The men rose to their feet and joined Sarah and the kids in the dining room. They ate breakfast with a good appetite.
After they finish eating breakfast, Graven bid goodbye to his family and returned to his house at the back of the mansion.
Horace was already waiting for him.
"How's it's going at the headquarter?" Graven asked.
"I went there a while ago and our men were still busy preparing the feast. Everyone is in high spirit, the food will be ready before noon. Everyone is excited to see you again, my Lord!" Horace replied.
"Good! Go back there and make sure that there are plenty of drinks for the whole day event. I'll give financial bonus rewards for everyone as a celebration for my second life," Graven said. "If you need me, you can find me at my manor. I'll visit my wife and stay by her side for a few hours and afterwards, I will come to the headquarter at noon," he added.
"Copy, my lord!" Horace said.
A few minutes later, the two men vanished from the house, going to a different location.
Graven landed in the living room of his manor.
The servant who is cleaning the place during that time bowed her head upon the presence of her employer. "Good morning, my lord!"
"Good morning! Is my wife already awake?" he asked.
"Yes, Lady Laura is in the garden at the back of the house for her morning exercise," the maid replied and resumed her chore.
Graven exited the house and walked on the path leading to the back of the house.
He found Laura and her entire family enjoying the wonderful morning in the garden. He sat beside his wife on the double-seater rocking chair made of iron and a comfy cushion.
Graven planted a kiss on his wife's cheeks. "Good morning, my love!"
"Good morning, husband! Thanks for visiting me here, even though you're busy," Laura said.
"I will always find a way to visit you here no matter how busy I am," Graven said. "Ah, I forgot to tell you something last night... a good news! I'm sure you'll like it!" he said with a smile.
"Really-? What is it? Tell me now!' She said eagerly, excited to hear about the good news.
"I already inform my father about us and he wants your entire family to come to the mansion next week for a special dinner. Then he wants us to have a second wedding that will take place at the back of the mansion. It will be a garden wedding, just like the first one we have in the farm. This time, both families and several guess can witness our nuptial. Will you agree to my father's request?" Graven asked.
A megawatt smile appeared on Laura's face. "Yes, of course! Whatever makes your father happy, let's do it!" she said enthusiastically, remembering so well how Sir Nicholas treated her so kindly and generously during her stay in his mansion.
"Thank you, wife!" Graven said merrily.
"No need to thank me. I would love to marry you again, anytime and anywhere!" she gushes joyfully.
Laura fell silent for a moment.
Graven noticed the worry on Laura's face. "What's wrong?"
"H-how did Cooper react after you tell him the news?" Laura asked.
"Cooper and I have a man to man talk regarding the issue, and he was okay with it. I mean... he told me that he was glad he didn't marry you for real because he would only break his wife's heart. After you left South Pond Town, and his little family moved in the mansion, he finally realized how lucky he was to have Sarah and the kids in his life. He then realized how much he love Sarah and finally see her worth... and the rest is history," Graven said.
"Thanks, God!" Laura smiled happily. "I feared that you and your brother will have a fight after you told him the truth. I've been worried about that for a long time. And now, no need to worry about that issue because it's already resolved! I felt so relieved!" she said as huge relief washed over him.
"Nah, Cooper already let go of that matter long time ago. He's happy for us and can't wait to meet the rest of the family. They're excited for your visit and my father is very happy after learning that you're already pregnant, another member will be added to our family tree! Isn't that fantastic!?" Graven added.
Laura giggled. "Wow, I feel so happy today. After undergoing so much mental and emotional torture... Now amazing things are pouring unto us. My happiness is like a cup of coffee overflowing with goodness. Thank you so much, husband, for making me happy today!" she enthused. She hugged her husband tightly and kissed his cheeks lovingly.
Graven looked at his wife's face adoringly. "Let's hope for a brighter tomorrow. May we enjoy long lasting peace and all our enemies will rot in hell," he said.
Suddenly, Laura remembered Rebecca and her husband which is their enemy. She will discuss that issue with her husband in the coming days. Right now, she just wants to enjoy happiness together with her husband and her family.
She deserved a long break from problems and anxiety. She wants to breathe! Everyone deserves to have a break from problems and feel happy as long as they can.
Graven and Laura spend quality time with each other in the garden.
A few hours later.
Graven bid farewell to his wife. "I'm going to the headquarter now. My men are preparing a feast to welcome me. Do you want to go with me?" he offered.
Laura shook her head. "No need. I want you and your men to have a good time. If I'm there you won't be able to do that with your men because your time and attention will be centered on me, so, it's better that I won't make an appearance there. Enjoy the feast and give my regards to all of them," she replied.
"Okay, thanks wife! I'll go now!" Graven said and planted a loving kiss on her head.
A few minutes later, Graven disappeared from the garden.
Simon approached his daughter after his son-in-law was gone. "Daughter, I noticed that you look extra happy today. What's the good news?" he inquired.
Laura looked at his father, her eyes sparkling with glee. "Father, your friend Sir Nicholas invited us for a dinner next week to the mansion to discuss my second wedding to Graven that will take place at the back of the mansion. We're all invited for the dinner! Isn't that great!?" she raved.
Simon's face lighted up. "Wow! That's good news indeed! Your husband finally inform his family about you. I'm happy for you and Graven! It's a happy event for sure! I'm super excited for the second wedding. This time - it will be more meaningful and special because the two families will witness the happy occasion! I can't wait for it to happen!" he gushes excitedly.
"Me too! I'm happy with this latest developments. I was afraid that if Graven will reveal the truth about me, they won't take it lightly considering with my past association with Cooper and I broke the engagement hastily against their will, that really bothered me for a long time. Good thing, they're happy for Graven and I! Everything turned out well in the end!" Laura beamed happily.
"I'm happy for you and Graven, daughter! I cant' wait to see my good friend Nicholas again!" Simon said jubilantly.
Rosa went to the rocking chair and asked. "What's the good news? You guys are smiling a ton! Care to share?" she asked curiously.
Simon looked at his wife. "My good friend Nicholas invited us for a dinner to his mansion next week! We will be discussing Laura and Graven's second wedding that will take place in the mansion! Isn't that great?" he said merrily.
A bright smile appeared on Rosa's face. "Finally! The two family will meet! This time there will be another grand wedding celebration that will be attended by both families! I'm so excited for the upcoming event!" she said exuberantly.
A bright smile lingered on Laura and her parent's faces, feeling happy with the good news.
They stayed in the garden, enjoying the blooming flowers, and retreated to the house two hours later.
