It was a sunny afternoon outside.
Rebecca was standing beside the window looking at the horizon, then her eyes shifted to the garden below. The flowers are in full bloom today displaying multitudes of colors, they're pleasant to look at.
She just finished eating lunch a while ago.
Nothing to do inside the room, she's getting bored as hell!
Sighing, she looked at the bed, door, and bathroom, then returned her gaze to the window.
She's stuck in this room and doesn't know for how long, although this room is much better than her first prison room, still, she's a prisoner and will become a Queen of the Vampires in a few days... but that won't happen because they will discover her secret soon enough!
Sighing, she can only wait for the day of the Awakening Ceremony, she will be transported to the place where the ceremony is going to be held and she planned to escape during that time.
She was thinking deeply when the door opened, she looked over her shoulder to know who entered the room.
It was the vampire woman.
"Daughter, get ready because tonight at 9:00...we'll start traveling going to the area where the ceremony will take place," Sylvia announced excitedly.
Rebecca's face brightened up. 'Wow! The day of her escape finally arrived!' she thought to herself.
Sylvia smiled. "You look excited my dear," she commented casually.
Rebecca nodded her head. "I am! I'm excited to meet my husband the King of Vampires! I can't wait to become the Queen of Vampires!" she gushes, beaming brightly, pretending that she's looking forward to the Awakening Ceremony.
"That's great! So, get ready for tonight!" Sylvia said. "You can wear any of the two dresses, you are free to choose whatever suits your fancy," she added.
The door opened and servants entered, they were carrying three boxes in their hands, they placed them on the floor.
"Open the boxes!" Sylvia ordered the maids.
The maids do as they're told, they opened the boxes, then took their leave quietly.
Rebecca smiled after seeing three gorgeous red shoes inside the boxes. "Wow! So lovely!" she exclaimed.
"Go ahead, put them on, let me see if they suit your feet well," Sylvia said.
Rebecca slid her feet into the first shoes and it fits nicely. Then she tried the other two shoes as well. "Fantastic! They fit perfectly well with my feet!"
"Of course because they are your size!" Sylvia said.
Rebecca looked at the vampire woman and wondered how did she get her feet measurement because she can't remember when? Even the red gowns fit her body well. Maybe they took her measurement when she first came to this place, in an unconscious state.
"Since the shoes and the gowns are already here, just get dress tonight after eating dinner. The maids and I will do your makeup for tonight's event," Sylvia said.
"OK, Mother," Rebecca replied.
"I'll take my leave now," Sylvia said, she walked towards the door.
"Mother wait... how many hours is the journey?" she asked.
"We will arrive at the place tomorrow evening, then we will have a few hours of rest and then the Awakening Ceremony will start right away," Sylvia answered. "Anything else?"
"That's all, Mother," Rebecca said.
Sylvia walked to the door and exited.
Rebecca stared at the lovely shoes for a few seconds, then ignore them completely, she went back to the window. It's a long journey, and she likes what she heard because she had plenty of time to escape.
She smiled a bit. It looks like she's going to leave this place and never come back again!
She's looking forward to the journey and her escape later.
Rebecca went to the bed and was about to take a nap when Corbin suddenly materialized in the middle of the room.
He looked at her face and smiled. "You look excited, my dear!' he commented casually.
Rebecca rolled her eyes. "Why are you here?"
"Just to check on you," he replied. "How are you doing?" he asked.
"You may leave now, I'm going to take my afternoon nap," she dismissed him.
"Oh," he raised a brow. "You don't look like you are bothered or worried that the ceremony is finally going to happen tomorrow. Are you excited to marry the king or looking forward to your death? Which is which?" he asked curiously.
"None of your business!" she retorted.
Corbin chuckled. "Wow, you do look like you are unperturbed as if you are not caring at all about what's gonna happen after they will discover your disguise. Hmm... why are you acting this way?" he asked while stroking his chin wondering why she's acting cool and relax.
Rebecca released a deep sigh. "Should I die or survive it doesn't concern you, so just leave me alone!" she said and proceed to the bed. She lay down on the bed and wrapped the blanket around her body.
Corbin was amused, she snubbed him completely. He walked closer to the bed and whispered in her ears. "Are you planning to escape while traveling on the road?" he voiced out his wild guess aloud.
Rebecca breathed deeply. "None of your business! Scram!" she told him.
Corbin released a deep throaty laugh. "Girl, you are dreaming of the impossible thing! The security is tight during the travel. I can assure you that it will be impossible for you to escape," he assured her.
Rebecca ignored him so that he will go away.
"I'm here to offer you my help as long you will tell me where Laura is. As long you will tell me then I can get you out of here before the ceremony takes place tomorrow," he said in a convincing tone.
Rebecca groaned. "I'm not interested in your help, just go away!" she demanded.
"This is the last time I'm offering you a way out, take it or leave it!" he said in an exasperated tone.
Rebecca removed the blanket from her face and looked at him in the eyes. "As I've said earlier, I'm not interested in your offer. So, just leave me alone!" she repeated.
"Are you sure?" he asked again.
Rebecca rolled her eyes. "I don't know if you are a friend or an enemy, but I don't trust you at all," she said. "What are you going to do with my friend Laura after you find her?" she asked curiously.
Corbin smiled. "You don't have to know," he replied.
Rebecca nods her head. "Alright, since you can't trust me and I can't trust you, we shouldn't waste each other's time," she concluded.
"So, are you looking forward to dying? Are you ready to die? What will you do after they will know that your blood can't awaken the king? You just let them kill you?" he asked.
Rebecca smiled. "I'm not afraid to die! So just leave me alone!" she dismissed him.
Corbin stared at her face, he hated her stupid guts. Suddenly, he finds her attitude infuriating, she used to be entertaining but now she's getting infuriating! She refused to negotiate with him even if she's going to die anytime soon.
"Fine! If you don't want my help then I'll leave you alone and good luck on your escape!" Corbin said irritably.
He vanished from the room in seconds.
Rebecca continues her much-needed sleep 'coz tonight she won't close her eyes during the journey, she must be alert and wide awake so that she can find an opportunity to escape.
She shut her eyes ready to sleep.
Half an hour later, she had fallen into a deep slumber.
Hours went by.
Rebecca woke up at 5:00 and went to the bathroom to have a long bath.
Half an hour later, she finished bathing, her dinner arrived and she began eating with gusto. She needs all the energy she can to have a successful escape tonight.
One hour after she finished consuming her meal, Sylvia and the maids arrived to fix her hair and apply makeup on her already flawless face.
She went to the bathroom and donned the long sleeve red gown. She exited the bathroom, slid her feet on the red shoes, and lowered herself on the chair facing the dresser mirror.
Sylvia began combing her hair, while another maid was applying makeup on her face.
"I like seeing your gorgeous silky hair cascade behind your back, so let's leave it this way flowing like a river in your back," Sylvia commented.
"Okay, as you wish, Mother," Rebecca replied.
A few minutes later, the maid was already putting finishing touches on Rebecca's face and applied red lipstick on her lips.
Sylvia looked at Laura in the mirror. "Wow! You looked so beautiful, daughter!" she gushes.
"So lovely!" the fist made said.
"Gorgeous beauty, like a goddess!" the second maid said.
Sylvia blew air at Laura's head for a few seconds and then addressed her. "Alright, since we're already done, you go back to the bed first and sat there for a while," she ordered.
Rebecca obeyed and walked towards the bed and sat on the edge.
Sylvia and the maids stared at her dazzling beauty.
Rebecca's brows furrowed. Are they just going to stare at her face until the journey starts?
A few minutes later, she suddenly feels sleepy and starts yawning. She looked at the vampire woman. "Mother, I'm feeling sleepy, can I lay down on the bed?"
"Sure," Sylvia replied with a smile.
The maids rushed to Laura's side to help her settle into the bed comfortably.
Rebecca closed her eyes, fifteen minutes later, she was already snoring softly.
Sylvia went to the bed and stared at the sleeping woman. "Sleep soundly my dear," she murmured. She looked at the maids. "Bring the coffin inside the room!" she ordered.
"Yes, my lady!" the maids exited the room and returned with several male servants carrying a gold-plated crystal coffin with small holes on every side.
Sylvia addressed the male servants. "Put the sleeping woman gently inside the coffin!" she ordered.
"Yes, my lady!" the male servants replied in unison.
They went to the bed and lifted the sleeping woman's body effortlessly and transferred her inside the coffin assisted by the maids.
A few minutes later, Laura was already lying beautifully inside the coffin.
Sylvia smiled brightly. "Bring the coffin outside and placed it inside the carriage!" she commanded.
"Yes, my lady!" the male servants replied in unison.
They lifted the coffin and exited the room together with Sylvia and the maids.
Two hours later.
A caravan was getting out of the mansion.
The carriage containing Rebecca can be seen exiting the mansion as well.
Inside the moving carriage, Sylvia and her husband were guarding their precious cargo inside the gold-plated crystal coffin.
