Chapter 21 - 21: Killing (2)

While the gangsters kneeled in the ground due to the strong gravity, Reif stared at them angrily

These people tried to harm his Big Brother. How hateful, he would never forgive them

Thus, Reif slowly walks towards the gangsters that make these people hard turn cold in fright

The earlier air of naivety around Reif vanishes and was instead replaced by anger

Although Reif was not exuding a strong killing intent, it can be seen that he really does plan on killing the gangster

"S-stop! H-how dare you to harm anyone inside the City?!" One of the gangsters shouted angrily but he only saw a figure moving before he felt another pressure from his head as Rhash stepped on his face

After causing the gangster's face to bleed, Rhash crouched down and put a finger in the man's forehead

"Reif, there are 3 parts of human or even monsters' bodies that would make it easier to deal with them"

"The first one is through the head, if you destroy it, the would immediately die"

Rhash explained and before moving his finger to the gangster's neck. "The second one is the throat, this is also a vulnerable part of a human body. Cut or crush it and they would also die"

Then Rhash's finger moved even lower until it reaches the gangster's chest. "The third one is the heart. Penetrating it would also instakill enemies"

"Those three parts at normal times would result in instant death. However, there are special creatures in this world that won't die even if you destroy their vulnerable parts. Thus, you can never let your guard down even if you think you already defeated the enemy, alright? "

Rhash turned into a 'smart teacher' yet what he was teaching to a young kid was the art of killing. This can make people's heart turn cold

Rhash might not be an expert but he still picked up a lot of common sense back on earth. Aren't fantasy novels have a part wherein the mc thought they already killed the enemy but they actually didn't?

To prepare for the future battles, Rhash really rack his brains for the things he would teach Reif

Since the kid heavily respected him, Reif took a mental note of all of his words and that makes Rhash satisfied

"Alright, for now, you can do everything you want just make sure you'll kill them"

Reif was still not used to this but he nodded his head

He walks towards the gangster that Rhash was holding and an invisible pressure gathered into his palm

Reif then thrusts his palm into the gangster's chest and it immediately caves in

Reif's palm has the power of gravity in it. Thus, even if his palm didn't physically touch the gangster's chest, his attack was still successfully sent

A mouthful of fresh blood was vomited by the gangster before he loses consciousness and life

The gravity palm traveled inside the gangster's body and turned his heart into a pile of meat paste. It would be weird if he didn't die

Seeing that, Reif's face instantly paled but he still gritted his teeth to continue

"You can use long-range attacks this time if you still can't take it" Rhash suggested as his heart softened due to Reif's current appearance

However, the kid shook his head and continued. He continuously thrusts his palms in the gangsters killing them one by one

Reif really did attack the three vulnerable parts that Rhash taught him. The gangster either died with their skull caving in, their throat crushed, or because of their heart that turned into a meat paste

The gangsters naturally pleaded and threatened the two but it entered their right ear just to exit in the left ear

At first, every death makes Reif feels sick but the more gangster he killed, the more numb he becomes

Towards the end, he successfully killed ten people without even dirtying himself with the blood

Reif was immediately engulfed in a warm hug. The guilt for his actions instantly vanishes as Reif can feel that he gained his Big Brother's recognition and that is important!

"Good! Good! My little gem performed well" Rhash praised the kid as if they didn't just commit murder and Reif buried his face even deeper into Rhash's chest

Rhash chuckled at that but he does not have a choice but to prematurely end their hugging session

"Alright, alright. Let's continue later, we can't stay here for long"

The longer they stay at the crime scene, the higher the chance that their crime would be exposed and Reif can only reluctantly agree

With a wave of Rhash's hand, the blood of the poor gangster immediately flowed out from their wounds

Ten people's worth of blood was soon condensed into a single solid ball that landed in Rhash's palm

That scene was terrifying as the corpses start to turn dry as all the blood in them were sucked away

In the whole month that the two traveled, they occasionally met wild magic beasts or bandits

Rhash let Reif take care of the magic beasts while he took care of the bandits. Only now did Reif kill people again since Rhash gave him 1 month of a breather but that will change now

In that whole month, Rhash further experimented with his power and found out that he can use people's blood to increase his battle prowess

Although Reif's blood is still the only thing that can be considered as his food

After the blood was gathered, Rhash clicked his fingers and several balls of fire appeared that he uses to burn the bodies until no one can recognize them anymore

In this way, the authorities won't find the identity of these gangsters and they would lose every lead they can have

Since the gangsters are unimportant people in the city, the guards wouldn't investigate this matter deeper

"Let's rest in an inn, we'll be battling more monsters tomorrow!" Rhash said and Reif nodded his head at that

The two sneakily went out the dark alley and rested in an inn as if they didn't just kill ten people

The next day, just like what Rhash said, the two of them will battle more monsters. Rhash accepted an E rank job

F ranks have little to no danger and it was not suitable. E rank was a bit harder but Rhash is confident of his and Reif's abilities

Since they are F rank adventurers, they can only accept E rank missions as the highest rank

In this mission, they need to kill one of the most common monsters in a fantasy world

They are small child-like creatures that have green skin. The monsters they are going to fight were precisely goblins!

In this world, goblins have an extremely high reproduction rate. The Empire's Knights are too strong to deal with such lowly creatures

Thus, the Empire regularly commissioned the Adventurer's Guild to wipe out these weak but numerous monsters

Of course, the pay wasn't that high. For every 5 goblins, they would gain 3 copper coins

The goblins can be found almost everywhere and the two kids went to find them in a forest near the Mesha City

Reif still can't perfectly control gravity to maneuver him but it was enough to deal with weak goblins

In a flash, Reif instantly reached one of the goblins. The gravity in his sword was also controlled and a cold light flashed

The goblin's club was cut easily as if it was made from butter. In fact, even the goblin itself was almost cut in half by Reif's ordinary sword

Thanks to the gravity, the kid's sword has a swift speed and also considerable power

In just a single sword attack, fresh blood immediately dyed the ground as one out of five goblins were killed

The other goblins acted as if they didn't care about their fallen brethren though and they just continued attacking Reif

However, none of the goblins managed to hit their target. Reif simply swung his sword from the right to the left and the severed part of the clubs were immediately sent into the air
