Chapter 94 - 92

Reif's aura rose to the extreme. The power he has before he fell into a coma far paled in comparison to the power he has now

It was similar to comparing a stone and gold, the comparison is a big insult to the latter

Just the explosion that resulted in Reif's 'power up' already destroyed the multiple barriers that Nath and the church has prepared

It can be seen how terrifying his power is right now

"Anyone that dares to touch my big brother is fated to die" Reif declared as if that was the law

The bright crimson light pillar that he emitted subsided yet the terrifying aura that he has was still present

With a wave of his hand, the space itself cracked and shattered into smaller pieces. As if they were mere stones, Reif grabbed the spatial fragments before throwing them at all the clergy around him

He didn't even mind the spatial storm caused by the result of his action. The storm wasn't able to harm his body at all

Existences that could shatter space were few in number. The people that could do that in the whole world are very little

But now, Reif has become a part of the small population. Not to mention, he can even shatter space so easily as if he was merely tearing fragile papers

All the clergy with no exemption died as spatial fragments tore their bodies. Not even a drop of blood was left

The crack in space was also repaired by the world itself but if Reif wish to, he could instantly shatter it again

"Y-you dare!" An enraged voice shouted. His voice was extremely defeaning as if the heavens themselves was angered

Amidst the silence brought by the death of the creatures around, a bright white light soared into the air

Behind Nath was a pair of brilliant wings that were akin to what angels have. His original aura was that of pure gentleness but it was changed right now into something filled with anger

In Nath's hand was his Holy Sword. It still does not have even one of the shard of brilliance but its power still knows no bounds

The death of his clergy aroused the utmost of Nath's anger. He was even more convinced that if he don't deal with Reif, he would really die soon without accomplishing his mission

In a flash, the Holy Sword was covered with spiral light energies that gave it an even more threatening power

Nath's wings madly flapped in the air as he broke through the sound barrier to charge at Reif

What he expected as a fierce and hard battle didn't happen. In fact, it doesn't look like a battle at all!

Reif simply gathered a small crimson ball of energy at the tip of his finger before sending it to Nath

The single small ball then turned into a fan shape attacked that is made only to do one thing and that is to destroy!

Destruction! Utter destruction! That is the nature of Reif's power and he has proven it at this moment

The single ball alone destroyed a large area. The ground itself liquified due to the intense heat

The fierce battle that should have taken place here was ended with just one crimson ball alone

When Reif's attack subsided, only then did Nath show himself again

Deep into the ground, his body could be seen. He was bleeding from head to toe

His eyes were wide open in shock. He already had a few encounters with Reif and he was defeated in most of them

However, none of those encounters were the same as this one!

At those times, Nath could still resist for some time. It wasn't like this one where the winner was decided in just a single instance

"N-no! T-this cannot be! I a-am the S-Son of G-God!" Nath muttered unwillingly. He was the most exalted existence in this world

While everyone around him is mortal, he on the other hand is a blessed divine creature

He is a child of God! The one that is destined to stand at the top of this world! The one that would conquer and dominate it! This shouldn't be happening at all!

"God?" Reif sneered at hearing that. "What you worship is not a God but only someone that is trying to be one!"

With the help of his previous selves, Reif learned a lot of things in this world. He is still not completely enlightened but he still knows a lot

In theory, this world might be a story book or at least akin to one

Even if this world is not written by an author, it still has the same characteristics

There is a force in this world that is controlling everything behind. Nath's fate was decided before he could even be born

His fate is to climb to the top of this world while defeating his 'demonic opponent'

In a novel, Nath was akin to the protagonist of the story and Reif is the greatest villain that he should kill

Nath's path of being the protagonist was already set before he was even born. On the other hand, Reif's life as being the biggest villain is also already set before he came into this world

No matter how people in this world struggled to change the fate that they are born with, they would fail

Reif is the strongest existence in this world, even stronger than the 'protagonist' but even he failed countless times before that is until he found one solution

That solution was in the form of Rhash. As a person that is not originally part of this world or possibly 'book' he was not influenced by the mysterious force in this world

But even then, the 'big things' that should happen in this world is still going to happen such as Reif's reputation of being evil

However, with Rhash's presence, there might still be a chance for Reif to not succumb to his fate of being Nath's stepping stone!

Reif gathered energy into his hand again. This time, it wasn't a mere ball that looks like a small dot

The energy he gathered was multiple times bigger than the first one as it shadowed his whole palm

With a swift movement, Reif threw the ball at the fake son of God. This ball has enough power to kill Nath but would things be easy?

Of course not!

Even without Nath saving himself, there is already someone that would save him. After all, he is the 'protagonist' of this world and the one that would kill the 'antagonist'. He cannot die prematurely especially at the hands of the villain

A golden barrier appeared around Nath without any warning. As soon as Reif's crimson landed on it, the ball instantly vanishes as if it don't have the power to obliterate multiple mountains at once

"Hmph, I guess it really is time for you to interfere, Fake God" Reif snorted after seeing that barrier

It was more powerful and divine than anything he had encountered. Reif is sure that if the person behind that golden barrier wants to kill him, it would be as easy as breathing

Fortunately, he could only be killed by the 'protagonist' Nath and no one else

A few seconds pass before a ball of light formed above Nath that has lost his consciousness already

"I see, you have been already enlightened at the truth of this world again. However, why do you still want to go against fate? Everything would just be repeated no matter how hard you try!"

A mysterious and majestic voice came out from that ball of light. It could definitely make any mortal feel inferior but Reif is not a normal mortal!

"Unlike you, I don't plan on being subservient forever to whatever that strange force is" Reif said in disdain

If it was said that Reif is the strongest person in this world, that might not be necessarily true in some ways

Among the mortals and material world, he is the strongest. However, there is also the existence of a 'God-like' being

He is not a real God but if this world is really a storybook then the God of Light is the God of this world

Existences like Reif and the God of Light is aware of the mysterious force in this world that is guiding everyone on the path that it already decided on

"You have failed countless of times already, why do you never learn?" the voice said with a sigh

"While it's easy for you to say that as you are an existence worship by all, I couldn't agree. I have been persecuted ever since I was born. We are not the same" Reif replied

If his past selves didn't rebel and brought a person from the other world into this one, would he even know what it feels like to be loved?

To have someone that is happy just by seeing you happy? A person that is willing to sacrifice everything for you?
