Emilia frowned as she scratched her head, wondering if the 'savior type' boys were really so popular, or if these girls were just concerned. 'Hmph, whatever it is, I feel a little… unpleasant? Who do I punish?'
Cynthia cackled in her mind, though she made sure not to transmit the thought to her partner, lest she get bullied.
Although she knew that the girls probably just wanted to make sure the boy didn't take advantage of Emilia, why would she let her know? It was funnier this way. Her villainess looked the best when she was confused!
Emilia sighed in her mind. 'For some reason… I really want to beat Cynthia…'
Cynthia immediately jumped in fright. "Why?! I didn't even say anything?!"
The redhead chuckled internally. 'I don't know, just a feeling I had? Don't tell me… were you having naughty thoughts? Because your reactions scream of a guilty conscience. Hmm, you might really deserve it, after all.'
The raven-haired girl couldn't help but cry out at the injustice. "Y-You villainess… How can you be so unreasonable?!"
Wasn't this like attacking someone, and then when they defend themselves, accusing them of causing harm?!
Emilia giggled. 'But don't you like it when I'm like this? I remember how you used to be so cute back then, ahh, always praising me about how this is the right attitude for a—'
Cynthia couldn't help but stomp her feet petulantly. "Not when I'm getting beaten!"
Thinking back, the emerald-eyed girl really wished she could punch her past self in the face. Why would she ever want to twist that pure, innocent little princess into a villainess in the first place?!
Unfortunately, once she was a part of a timeline, it was no longer possible to move back. She would reap what she sowed.
Emilia smiled. 'Fufu… It's not like I have really beaten you… yet.'
"Yet?! You bully!"
Hearing the 'click' of her partner running away, Emilia chuckled, her mood much better than before. "Alright, if you want to follow me, let's just all go together after school."
"Okay!"
"Great!"
The three of them soon moved on to other topics while Michelle admired the ability of her princess to blend so well with humans from the side. 'I don't think either of these girls realize that they're talking to a royal vampire princess, right? Heh, they have no idea what they're dealing with at all.'
Although she knew they were probably 'allies' and she definitely shouldn't think poorly of them, Michelle couldn't help but feel a sense of superiority in her heart. 'As a loyal servant, I'm much closer to the princess than them. Hmph.'
Unfortunately, perhaps her smugness boosted her sense of existence, and Michelle soon found herself being bombarded by Crystal's questions.
"Why would you want to be a maid?"
"Didn't you wish to be a painter before?"
"Have you completely given up on college?"
"How can you be sure that you won't regret it in the future?"
Michelle couldn't help but grit her teeth as she tried her best to respond to each of her queries satisfactorily.
Obviously, it had been her princess who saved her, but this 'big tiddie waifu' that her princess was chasing was still her 'savior' on the surface. Plus, with her being the one her princess was chasing, Michelle knew she couldn't afford to offend her at all.
If she messed up the royal vampire's courtship ritual, who knew what the consequences would be?
While feeling wronged in her heart, the poor girl could only patiently answer all her questions one by one.
"Because maids are justice!"
"The only painting I now admire is that of my prin—ahem, E-Emilia, I mean. And the best place to improve on that is by her side!"
"I don't want to be sent away!"
"I definitely won't regret it! I have already sworn my—"
Emilia coughed as she interrupted their conversation before Michelle could get too heated up. "It's okay, Crystal. We can't force our friends into doing what we think is best, we can only support them in their decisions and hope for the best."
Crystal nodded, feeling a little embarrassed. "I-I didn't mean to do that."
Emilia smiled. "Mhm, I know. My heroine only wants the best for the girl she saved, so she got a little excited, huh?"
The blonde girl looked away, her face turning red.
The redhead giggled. "Alright, I won't tease you too much, even though you look so cute when you're shy. The two of you study well, I'll go back and take care of my sister—?"
As Emilia prepared to leave, however, she could clearly see the reluctant expression on both Dixie and Crystal's faces. "Hm? Why do you look like little kiddies being abandoned by their mother on the first day of kindergarten?"
"Actually—"
"Princess, I—"
Dixie and Crystal looked at each other in surprise and confusion.
The heroine coughed. "Y-You go first."
Dixie shook her head. "No please, go ahead."
"No, it's okay."
"Oh no, I can always talk later, since—"
Emilia groaned. "Stop, why don't you go ahead first, Crystal? And then we can listen to Dixie."
The blonde nodded in embarrassment while Dixie shrugged. "O-Okay. Well, I was a little worried about your sister, so—"
The redhead sighed and nodded. "I get it. You wanna come with me, right?" Seeing the heroine nod, Emilia smiled. "That's fine. And Dixie, what about you?"
The dark-haired girl coughed. "Well… I was about to ask the same thing."
There was a warm feeling in her heart as the redhead looked at the two of them again, while both Dixie and Crystal hurriedly looked away in embarrassment at the grateful look from the redhead.
Obviously, Emilia believed that they cared so much about her that their concern had transferred over to her elder sister. How could she not feel touched in her heart?
If she knew that the two of them just wanted to avoid the awkward situation on the second floor, who knew what punishment would await these sinners?
Unaware of their 'betrayal', Emilia shook her head with a smile. "That's it? I'm sure Sam would be more than happy to see that both of you care about her so much. No need to be shy at all. In fact, I have a brilliant idea!"
