While the rest of the class soon moved on to the lesson on animal cell structure, one particular student continued staring at the heroine's back with a gloomy look on his face.
Even if everyone else had been too blinded by superficial things, how could Amos possibly miss the bullied look from the love of his life?
It was clear that the bitch had stepped up her game, and was no longer content just bringing his most precious treasure down with just words alone.
That red face and lips meant that the whore had probably forced Crystal to eat just chilies or something extremely spicy for breakfast, right?
Amos couldn't help but grit his teeth in rage as he thought of all the other humiliations the love of his life must be going through. 'That little whore… if I don't ruin her one day till she's crying and begging for the mercy that she will never get, my name isn't Amos Black!'
He was sure that the burning in his heart was even more severe than the burning in the belly and lips of the love of his life. In fact, it couldn't even compare to any kind of physical pain, since he loved her so much.
Amos couldn't help but lament. 'My poor Crystal, oh, don't worry, I'll save you soon! I'm sure you're distressed just thinking about me knowing, but I really can't help it.'
The silver-haired boy knew that Crystal didn't want him to worry, which is why she never came to him, and even actively tried to distance herself from him.
She probably wished he was too dense to notice, but what could Amos do about his intelligence?
He couldn't help but sigh. 'Sometimes it's a pity to be too smart. I almost wish I could fulfill her wish by remaining oblivious to her sufferings, and just focus on getting her out of the whore's clutches.'
Unfortunately, his ability to see through things had always been top-notch, and given how much he cared for Crystal and how smart he was, figuring such basic things out was truly subconscious.
Amos knew that, as the only person who managed to figure out the true nature of that whore of an ex-fiancée of his, this excellence was both his blessing and curse.
The hero didn't even realize when the class was over, and only when Crystal was pulled off her seat by that red-haired witch did he break out of his daze.
Looking at his golden-haired lover's dazed eyes as that villainess dragged her off with an evil look, Amos could feel his blood boiling in rage.
But in a rare moment of restraint, he managed to hold himself back, and kept his head down as the two left the class. "Just you wait, fucking bitch!"

Emilia giggled as she pulled the exasperated heroine by hand, completely ignoring the pout on her face. "Don't be so shy, I thought it was cute! I'll only punish you a little for not being honest~"
"No! I really wasn't being jealous, okay? Mrs. Macmillan was definitely sneaking glances at you! And that creep—"
Of course, whether it was the strange behavior of the hero or Mrs. Macmillan, Emilia already knew all about it. After all, Noelle had already made her detailed report on the hero's recent 'activities', and Mrs. Macmillan's history had been evident the moment she took off her helmet.
What impressed Emilia, however, was that the heroine managed to catch on to so many clues so quickly, even though Emilia hadn't given her any clues from her side.
Perhaps even if she didn't have people like Noelle looking into things, she would still be able to succeed in her missions just by listening to this cutie pie!
Cynthia couldn't help but roll her eyes. "You're so overconfident in her deductions just because she guessed it right a few times?"
Emilia hummed in her mind, as she felt it wasn't quite as simple as that. 'Even if she's wrong from time to time, having even half the efficiency of an entire surveillance network on her own is still impressive, isn't it?'
Cynthia frowned, but she really couldn't refute that point. After all, Crystal really didn't have access to any special means, so her deduction ability could really be considered somewhat 'good'.
Factoring in that she could improve with time, she could barely accept her partner's evaluation, though she still felt Emilia was being biased, and her partner's following thoughts didn't help her case at all.
'Considering how easy she is to tease and distract, isn't it amazing that she's still able to pay attention to such minor details? Cute, right?!'
Cynthia just rolled her eyes and proceeded to ignore her partner, though she didn't go into isolation. Having seen the 'terrible' state Emilia and Sam had been in when she returned this morning, she didn't dare show 'leniency'.
It was a wonder that her energy hadn't been reduced. In fact, she still couldn't believe it.
Not minding her partner's thoughts, the redhead stuck out her tongue playfully. "Forget all that. Just follow me obediently to be disciplined, hm? Or does Crystal wish to be carried like a princess? I can—"
Crystal could only imagine the mortification she would feel if everyone from here to the club building saw her being carried by Emilia, princess style.
Maybe for the entirety of next week, she would continue getting strange looks!
"I-I'll follow!"

Meanwhile, in the staff room, Mrs. Macmillan was still a little lost in thought about the previous incident.
That day, after Emilia had left, the staff had let the participants know that they would all be getting their bets refunded, which was as expected.
What they didn't expect, however, was to receive goodwill compensation from White Deer for taking care of Sam during the race.
While many were embarrassed to accept the amount, no one would reject free money, even though some did so under the guise of 'not being able to reject goodwill'.
Even she had received a handsome amount, which only further added to her guilt.
Although she was a little confused at first, Mrs. Macmillan soon realized the reason why such a thing was done.
After being compensated like this, no one would dare complain about Sam ruining their chances of striking it big, or even ruining their fun.
Clearly, it wasn't as if their grievances would have affected Samantha. After all, it was just the grousing of some bugs for someone in her position. But knowing that Emilia was the one managing the situation, it all made sense.
The girl did everything she could to make sure the incident didn't affect her older sister's reputation, or her ability to come and have fun at the Bucherer's in the future. From the beginning to the end, everything was taken care of meticulously.
Mrs. Macmillan had never seen a more loving pair of sisters.
Recalling how boyish and unruly Sam used to be in her school days, she couldn't help but feel a little melancholic.
The female teacher finally broke out of her thoughts when she heard someone calling her name.
"Ah, yes?"
Mr. Jefferson gave her a deadpan look. "I asked you if you had gone deaf, and you failed to respond twice. And then you said yes… Even if that's not conclusive evidence of a fault in your hearing ability, it definitely says something about your thinking ability, doesn't it?"
