'Oh shit.'
Lady Melissa thought that meant the 'fake' Lady Melissa would have seen Duke Mason and everything, she'd know what Lady Melissa went through just to meet him.
'Well, for starters do you have a name?'
Lady Melissa asked.
'Actually I do have a name, it's Victoria.'
Victoria said, sounding proud of her name.
'Ohh it matches you.'
Lady Melissa said, complimenting Victoria's name.
'Well now that I know your name, I've never asked you for your background, how did you just appear here?'
Lady Melissa asked, intrigued to learn more about Victoria's origins.
'I was brutally murdered a few weeks ago.'
Victoria said, explaining a bit of her origins to Lady Melissa.
'What happened next? If you don't mind me asking.'
Lady Melissa asked, concerned about Victoria.
'Well, I died and then I was in this seemingly black space for weeks, and then you called me using magic and summoned me here.'
Victoria said, confused as well on the events that had happened.
'So you're saying you died, got into some black space and then I summoned you and you just appeared here?'
Lady Melissa asked, clarifying Victoria's explanation.
'Yeah, I know it sounds unbelievable but-'
Victoria said, trying to convince Lady Melissa.
'No, I believe you Victoria, it's just a little….hard to believe.'
Lady Melissa said, trying to reassure Victoria that she did believe in her.
'I wouldn't be able to believe it either if I was you.'
Victoria said.
'Wait Victoria what kind of work did you do? Like were you a farmer? Or perhaps a Lady in waiting?'
'Oh um-.'
Victoria said, not knowing how to explain her profession to Lady Melissa; she had just made a friend and she didn't want to make Lady Melissa disgusted.
'Take your time Victoria, besides it's okay if you don't trust me, it's been less than 24 hours since we've met.'
'It's just-, no I trust you, Lady Melissa, I just-. Please don't judge me, okay?'
Victoria asked, her voice sounding as if she was on the verge of crying.
'Don't worry Victoria, I don't care what job you do.'
Lady Melissa said, trying to reassure Victoria that she didn't care much about jobs; which was the truth.
'I'm a prostitute.'
Victoria said, and Lady Melissa went silent.
'There goes a friend.'
Victoria thought, feeling the tears starting to fall from her eyes already.
'Victoria are you okay? Being a prostitute must've been hard.'
Lady Melissa said; not sounding even a bit horrified nor disgusted at Victoria's profession.
'It was fine, I had to do it to make a living for my brother and me after all.'
Victoria said, assuring Lady Melissa she didn't mind her profession at all, as long as it was enough for her to make a living off of it.
'I'm sorry you had to go through that Victoria...I can't imagine how hard it must've been.'
Lady Melissa said, trying to comfort Victoria.
'Well it's in the past, at least now I can talk to you.'
Victoria said, changing the depressing mood into a better one.
'Yeah, your right I guess, though what about your brother?'
Lady Melissa asked, curious to know what happened to Victoria's brother.
'My brother....'
Victoria said.
'I hope he's still alive.'
Victoria said, starting to get emotional at the mention of her brother.
'Hey, I'm sure he's alive, Victoria.'
Lady Melissa said, trying to make Victoria feel better.
'I hope so.'
Victoria replied, sounding sad.
'He's alive, I'm sure of it.'
Lady Melissa said, her voice sounding confident.
Victoria didn't utter a single word, instead, she stayed silent, thinking of her brother and all the memories she had made with him in the past.
'Victoria, did you happen to catch the face of the person who murdered you though?'
Lady Melissa thought, thinking that the murderer was still probably on the loose.
'Yeah I did, he was around six foot five, and he had green eyes. My last moments were him vividly smiling at my dead body, it was as if he enjoyed killing me.'
Victoria said, shuddering at the last few moments of her alive.
'That description sounds..oddly familiar.'
Lady Melissa thought, wondering where she had remembered those details.
'I'm probably just overthinking this whole thing.'
Lady Melissa thought.
'I hope Victoria's brother is still alive though.'
Lady Melissa thought, feeling bad for Victoria if it turned out that her brother had already passed away.
'I should give Victoria some space, I'm sure she didn't like to discuss about this topic.'
Lady Melissa thought, thinking that the best thing for her to do would to give Victoria some space and leave her alone in the meantime.
Lady Melissa quickly took a shower, before changing into her pyjamas and going down to eat when she realized she was already full due to her meeting with Duke Mason.
'Yep I'm definitely full.'
Lady Melissa thought, before burping.
Now Lady Melissa was a big eater, but even she had her limits when it came to eating; she couldn't eat WAYYY too much or else she'd puke.
'If I don't eat tonight's dinner mom and dad are gonna start worrying about me, and I don't want to worry them; nor do I want to waste any of the food.'
Lady Melissa thought, not wanting her parents to be worried about her.
'I mean I can always give it to the maids I guess.'
'But how would I sneak the food? And not get caught by my parents at the same time as well?'
Lady Melissa thought, with a puzzled expression on her face.
'Hmm, I'll see if I can do something about it with my magic;the lesson I had yesterday with my magic teacher would sure come in handy.'
Lady Melissa thought, trying to remember the steps needed for the spell her magic teacher had reached her yesterday.
'I think I had to have a few materials for the spell? Like a wand (needed for every spell cast), an empty pouch and a strand of my hair.'
Lady Melissa thought, stroking her hair.
