In the next hour or two, every time Lady Melissa would even close her eyes, she would think of Jack The Ripper murdering the woman, and Lady Melissa was just right in front of them, doing nothing; her body couldn't move. It was as if she was trapped in place, not even allowed to move a single bit of her body.

And the worst part? Every SINGLE time Lady Melissa closed her eyes, her mind would play the same thing after discovering the truth about Victoria's death...Lady Melissa's state of mind wasn't exactly in the best place.

But well, it wasn't that bad yet at the same time; Lady Melissa had hated absolutely every second of it; the lack of sleep she had made her feel more aware and nervous, leading her to feel extra guilty about her past actions.

Fortunately or unfortunately for her, the sun had finally risen, and it was already early enough for her to wake up and start her day.

'Oh shit, I haven't called in the favour.'

Lady Melissa thought, remembering that initially, she had to call in favour with someone to help her out.

'It's been a long time since I saw him; I wonder what he looks like now.'

Lady Melissa thought, thinking of a certain friend of hers.

'I'll call him later, and we can arrange a meeting.'

Lady Melissa thought, stroking her chin with her hand.

'Hopefully, he's available.'

Lady Melissa thought, already preparing her outfit for today and about to take a cold shower to let her be more productive.

Sure, Lady Melissa absolutely loved warm showers, but cold showers would make her more awake, alert and more productive, and Lady Melissa needed to be more awake today.

She was sleepy, but at the same time, not if that even made sense.

Lady Melissa took a little piece of paper, planning her day.

She would have lessons till around 7 pm, but she could always ask Victoria to replace her in the meantime if needed.

Thinking to herself, Lady Melissa thought perhaps her swordsman teacher Duchess Ella Rosera might be able to help her as well.

Duchess Ella Rosera had a lot of connections. After all, she was a very influential woman, which would definitely be useful to Lady Melissa, looks like Lady Melissa would be talking to her about it later during her training session.

'Hopefully, the Duchess wouldn't mind lending me some of her...help.'

Lady Melissa thought before turning on the showerhead and internally screaming at herself at how cold the water was.

'Never going to take a cold shower at 5 AM ever again.'

Lady Melissa thought, her body shivering from the coldness.

Lady Melissa closed her eyes for a few seconds, and weirdly enough, instead of the scene that had been replayed so many times in her head of Jack The Ripper murdering the woman, she saw...the Crown Prince? And with the brunette-haired woman no less.

It had been a few weeks since Lady Melissa had dreamed of the two, confused as to why they just..suddenly appeared and only now.

When Lady Melissa had closed her eyes for a few seconds, she saw the brunette-haired woman whispering something to the Crown Prince while pointing in Lady Melissa's direction, before the both of them had eventually started laughing at her.

Lady Melissa, who was confused, accidentally opened her eyes, and the brunette-haired woman and the Crown Prince had disappeared.

'Why did they appear in my dream?'

Lady Melissa thought with a puzzled expression on her face, a little angry that the Crown Prince was still alive; she had completely forgotten about him after the past few weeks she had without dreaming about him.

It had completely slipped her mind, she had been so busy these past few weeks, and the Crown Prince didn't appear in her dreams, so her mind just...completely forgot.

She completely forgot about the Crown Prince and her ambitions to kill him, and she didn't want to ever forget the sensation she had in her heart, a burning sensation to murder the Crown Prince, even if it would be the last thing she'd do.

Lady Melissa vowed to herself, still in the bathroom, that no matter the difficulties she'd face or how busy her life would get, that she would NEVER ever forget about her revenge on the Crown Prince.

After Lady Melissa had vowed to herself, she realised she had been in the bathroom all along, feeling stupid that she had vowed in the BATHROOM of all places, laughing at herself.

'I came to live this life for only one reason, to take revenge on the Crown Prince for every single thing he did to me and my loved ones; I can't ever forget about that.'

Lady Melissa thought to herself; she couldn't believe that even if it was for a few weeks or a few days, she had forgotten about the very reason why she had come to live her second life.

Lady Melissa let out a sigh, wiping her now cold body and freshly wet hair into one of her towels before changing into her outfit of the day; a black victorian shirt with some black pants to accompany it.

Lady Melissa looked at the clock, wondering how much time she had spent in the bathroom, showering and vowing to herself.

Surprisingly not much time had been spent there, only around ten minutes, as the time read 5 10 AM before it had suddenly turned to 5 11 AM.

Not knowing what to do with the rest of the time she had left, Lady Melissa decided that it would be good for her to practice her swordsmanship skills at 5 11 AM in the morning. Something which was incredibly impressive yet stupid at the same time.

Lady Melissa quietly took the sword in her dressing room, carrying it down the stairs carefully, not wanting to wake anyone who was or happened to be still asleep.

Lady Melissa's goal was accomplished, or at least it seemed like she didn't accidentally wake up anybody.
