Chapter 129 - 129

"Let me know if you need anything else Lady Melissa, I should go now."

Sophia said, bowing her head down before she left Lady Melissa's room, to continue some of her duties that she hadn't finished yet.

Lady Melissa simply gave Sophia a nod, taking the cup of chamomile tea that was on her desk before she drinked it, as it immediately calmed down her feelings.

The chamomile tea also relaxed Lady Melissa's muscles, as she could feel herself getting more and more relaxed with every sip of chamomile tea she had taken.

Lady Melissa let out a sigh of relief, relieved that she wasn't as frustrated as she had been earlier.

'How did I even reach here?'

Lady Melissa thought, letting out a sigh as she slumped a little down her chair, wondering how she had even reached here.

Of course Lady Melissa knew how she had reached here, she had suddenly been given a second chance in life and somehow magically appeared here.

Well maybe Lady Melissa didn't exactly know how she had reached here but she knew the main details on how she had reached here.

It was confusing and complicated, and Lady Melissa didn't know much of the details either.

Sometimes, she would wonder why she was even given a second chance. She felt like she didn't deserve one, but of course nonetheless she was grateful for a second chance in life.

She was grateful to have a second chance, to be able to change how the story went, and to be able to create a future of her own, this time without repeating the same mistakes she made in her previous life.

Lady Melissa couldn't give up, not now, not in the future, because she needed to take revenge on the Crown Prince and she had her family, her friends and so much more she had ahead of her.

She couldn't give up now when there were just so many things waiting for her ahead in the future, and Lady Melissa was excited for the future.

Hopefully the future was one where Lady Melissa was alive, and so were her family and friends, and that the Crown Prince was dead, his face completely wiped off from earth.

Now that Lady Melissa had already drank some chamomile tea to soothe herself down and had even taken a little break to think about other things, which were not connected to Duke Alphonso and finding a solution for her problem, she decided it was time for her to get on track and try to think of or find another solution.

Or, maybe instead of Lady Melissa trying to think or find another solution she could just fix the holes in her past solutions, so she wouldn't have to waste more time trying to think of more solutions to her problem.

And Lady Melissa ended up trying to do so, taking her own advice and taking a different approach to the whole situation, instead of finding new solutions.

The first problem she had, if she chose the letter, how would it be delivered to Duke Alphonso?

Lady Melissa had thought of an answer, she would simply write the date and details of it down in the paper and when Duke Alphonso and her passed by she would coolly give the paper to her.

She would also make sure that the paper would be extremely small, only enough so he could see and read her writing.

Or, she could 'happen' to be seated beside him during the event, and she could just give him the small piece of paper under the table, where nobody would see them.

Nevertheless, if Lady Melissa did end up choosing the paper/letter method she would end up having to pass through Duke Alphonso.

Since she would most likely pass by him in the hunting event, or at least she hoped she would pass by him and be able to give him the note without anyone noticing.

But then again, the second option was safer, the one where Lady Melissa would hand Duke Alphonso a small piece of paper under the table.

There was a lesser chance of someone seeing Lady Melissa pass the note to Duke Alphonso, and Lady Melissa was sure Duke Alphonso wasn't stupid enough to open the small piece of paper in front of everyone.

But, there was no guarantee Lady Melissa would be able to sit with him during the hunting event, unless she pulled a few strings of course.

She could call in a few favours of hers and the both of them would be 'coincidentally' sitting to each other.

Only problem was that Duke Alphonso was most likely going to be sitting near the Crown Prince since he was one of the Crown Prince's closest aides, meaning that he had to be near the Crown Prince at almost all time.

And, well Lady Melissa didn't want to even be that close to the Crown Prince, but only for this time she should swallow down her resentment for him, well that was if she was forced to choose this decision anyways.

She had two more options, remember?

Two more options for her to fill in her hole, she had already discussed the first two, so she only needed to talk about the last option.

Asking Duke Gaston for help.

One of the problems would be him declining, though he most likely wouldn't if Lady Melissa did ask him for help since, well, he had owed Lady Melissa a number of favours.

But, there was always the chance that Duke Gaston would say no, and Lady Melissa couldn't exactly force him to say yes either.

And, like she had previously discussed earlier, there was always the chance that even if somehow Duke Gaston said yes, what if Duke Alphonso ignored him? Or didn't even have time to have a brief chat with Duke Gaston, or he didn't want to.

Only then did Lady Melissa realize that she could ask Duke Gaston to make up some sort of excuse for the both of them to discuss in private, and then he would briefly discuss the meeting with Lady Melissa with Duke Alphonso.
