"Justin come here."
Melissa said, signalling for Justin to come closer to her.
"Yes? Is there anything that I can do to help you, Lady Melissa?"
Justin politely asked Melissa, wondering why she had called for him to move closer.
"Deliver this letter to Duke Gaston now, I'm sure you know where he lives."
Lady Melissa said as she whispered to Justin, giving the letter that she had written to Duke Gaston to Justin, wanting him to deliver it to Duke Gaston for her.
"Now?"
Justin asked Melissa, not sure if he had heard the exact thing Melissa had been saying.
"Yes."
Lady Melissa calmly responded, and in an instance, Justin went out of the window, out to deliver the letter to Duke Gaston.
Melissa was left alone, now all she had to do, for the time being, was to find some more bodyguards for her.
Melissa decided that she'd ask Derreck to find some bodyguards for her and that she'd choose the remaining ones that had managed to get Derreck's approval.
Lady Melissa called for Derreck, who immediately headed to her room, knocking on the door.
"May I come in Lady Melissa?"
Derreck asked as he knocked on the door, patiently waiting for Lady Melissa's answer.
"Yes."
Lady Melissa casually replied as Derreck opened the door.
"Good Evening Lady Melissa, for what reason have you called me?"
Derreck asked Melissa, wondering the reason why she had called for him.
"I need you to find some more bodyguards for me."
Lady Melissa casually told Derreck.
"Is the current bodyguard not doing his job properly?"
Derreck curiously asked, wondering for what reason Lady Melissa would ask him to request more bodyguards.
"I need more bodyguards, just in case the current bodyguard isn't enough."
Lady Melissa calmly said, explaining to Derreck.
"And these days it's getting dangerous."
Lady Melissa said, telling Derreck that it was starting to get dangerous nowadays.
"Understood, I'll narrow down the list of bodyguards and then choose from them. How many do you need though?"
Derreck asked, needing to know how many bodyguards Lady Melisssa needed.
"I need three more bodyguards, just narrow down the list to ten and I'll choose from there."
Lady Melissa said as she gave Derreck a smile.
"Alright then, I'll have the list ready by tomorrow, and if there's nothing else then I'll excuse myself now Lady Melissa."
Derreck said, as he quickly bowed down to Lady Melissa before leaving her room.
Lady Melissa simply nodded her head, watching Derreck leave the room as his figure slowly disappeared.
After a few minutes, there was a knock on the window.
"Come in."
Lady Melissa said, as Justin soon came in, this time a letter in his hand.
"Duke Gaston wrote you a letter."
Justin said as he handed Melissa the letter.
"He could've just asked you to relay his message to me."
Lady Melissa said, wondering why Duke Gaston just didn't do that before she realized that she didn't do that either.
Lady Melissa's eyes trailed across the letter that Duke Gaston had sent to her through Justin.
"Dear Lady Melissa,
I would be honoured to help you with this problem, though I cannot guarantee any promises whether Duke Alphonso will listen to me.
Speaking of Duke Alphonso, who else is going to be a part of the rebellion?
Yours Truly,
Duke Gaston"
The letter that Duke Gaston had sent to Lady Melissa contained that.
Lady Melissa was surprised at how straight to the point Duke Gaston was, though she was impressed at it as well.
"Do you need me to send a reply back to Duke Gaston?"
Justin asked Lady Melissa who was still staring at the letter from Duke Gaston.
"No need, I've got it all figured out, oh and burn this for me."
Lady Melissa said as she handed the letter to Justin who she made sure didn't take a peek in.
Justin headed to the fireplace that was located in Melissa's room, putting the letter from Duke Gaston on fire as Lady Melissa saw it burn little by little until it was completely burnt.
"Oh and Justin, get the invitations, I need to choose what event I go to next."
Lady Melissa said to Justin, who quickly nodded his head, going to get the invitations from various nobles who had invited Lady Melissa to their parties in hopes of getting her to come.
Justin soon left the room, to get the invitations that Lady Melissa had requested.
Soon enough, Justin emerged back into Lady Melissa's view, with a stack of invitations in his hand, handing them all to Lady Melissa.
"Here you go Lady Melissa, I believe that this is all of them."
Justin said, as he handed the invitations to Lady Melissa, who put them on her desk.
"Alright."
Lady Melissa replied as she organized the invitations on her desk, stacking them properly on top of each other.
Lady Melissa divided the invitations into two piles because they would fall if she had only put them in one pile.
Lady Melissa cleared her desk completely, so she could figure out which one of the invitations to throw, and which ones she would keep and reply back.
After what seemed like centuries to Lady Melissa, she had stumbled upon something that was worth her time.
An invitation from Duchess Victoria to go to her ball, Duchess Victoria just so happened to be one of the most influential women at the capital as well.
Though the Duchess had a habit of being a little mean to women who had just debuted.
She had a reputation for it, wanting to see which of the noblewomen would stand up for themselves.
It was for their own Duchess' entertainment, and the ones who did end up standing up for themselves would have a good impression, but the ones that didn't would have a bad impression on the Duchess' head.
It wasn't a known fact, though it was a known fact that Duchess Victoria liked to host balls.
