Chapter 96: From Bad to Worse

Even after he had been hit by Randy, the hero's father didn't increase the number of bodyguards that followed Amos around. After all, the one he already had was already competent enough, and the boy just needed to learn how to use him effectively.

Unfortunately, Amos had given the man strict instructions to remain in the car. To make matters worse, this whimsical young master didn't even agree to take a window seat, making it impossible to observe his situation from inside the car.

The bodyguard could only reluctantly observe any potential threats trying to enter the place. Of course, Dixie and her friends never registered as 'threats' in the man's mind, especially as all four of them came in a luxury car, and were empty handed as they entered.

As soon as the man heard some commotion from the restaurant, however, he immediately rushed inside regardless of the hero's instructions. The guard at the gate was knocked out before the man could ever realize what was happening.

However, he didn't see a single sign of Amos inside the restaurant.

The waiter who had just gotten up almost pissed himself when he saw the nearly seven feet tall man with almost ash white skin stomp over to him and lift him up by the collar.

Even with his thick foreigner accent, the young waiter could clearly make out the threat in the man's voice. "A bandaged, silver haired boy was supposed to be here, where is he?"

Overwhelmed by fear, the waiter couldn't help but blurt out. "U-Upstairs…"

Only to realize too late that things might turn out bad, because the 'thug' had already rushed up the stairs before any of them could even form the thought of trying to stop him.

Knowing that things could be terrible, the waiter didn't hesitate anymore as he climbed up the stairs with trembling legs.

Meanwhile, the cashier girl had already called for the police the moment the man entered, and the rest of the staff tried their best to calm the patrons down.

==========

This was one of the worst days of officer Justine's life.

When she had first heard of Emilia White and the horror show that happened at the other station because of the girl, she thought the girl was terrifying, but it had nothing to do with her.

But as she often learned, the more she thought something didn't concern her, the more likely it was to bite her back in the future.

That that when she was handling the three 'delinquent' rich girls who often received her scolding on a regular basis, she never expected this big boss supervillain to grace their humble station, much less lay her eyes on poor old Justine.

Justine's father had always told her that 'Justice Comes First', but the girl had always had her own version of the saying, 'Justine Comes First, Justice Comes Second, Everything Else, Third'.

So of course, she would hightail it out of there as soon as she detected that this big boss supervillain who could topple entire departments might have set her sights on poor old Justine.

Unfortunately, the camera crew following her seemed to be quite skilled in driving, and she had to take multiple risky turns at high speed to finally manage to lose them. "Phew, finally safe. Officer Justine is taking a real long vacation after this! Let me see who dares say no!"

Just as she finally felt a little relieved, however, she received a report from the station about a teenage boy causing a disturbance at a local restaurant.

"Why me?! Don't you know how hard today has been already?! Do you have no pity for poor ol' Justine?!"

"Don't be such a kid, girl. You're the closest to the location. It's a small matter, just sort it out and report back."

"Ugh, fine…"

Begrudgingly, Justine drove over to the location she had been informed of, which was surprisingly only twenty or so meters away from where she was. "No wonder they contacted me, sheesh. I didn't know there was such a good restaurant at this place though…"

As she walked in, the cashier girl hurriedly informed her of the situation, and Justine couldn't help but frown. 'This seems like the case of a mental patient. Ugh, just great. This is gonna be a fucking headache.'

Still, despite all her flaws, Justine hurriedly rushed upstairs to make sure nothing went wrong due to her being a few moments late. With these types of cases, it was impossible to expect how wrong things can go at any time.

After all, sometimes the perpetrator himself would be unaware of what they were truly doing. Such people could be dangerous not just to others, but also to themselves. This is why they needed immediate help, and Justine had to ensure that she kept them in line before that help arrived.

For all his cool looks and manliness, forget about learning how to fight, the hero had never been in a scuffle his entire life. After all, who would dare fight with him?

The only 'combat' he had experienced were the two instances of 'punishment' from his father, and the blow to the back of his head from one of his own followers. In both cases, he was powerless to resist, and thus learned nothing of value.

Emma was cheering on her friends from the side, while the two Lara and Jenna had already driven the hero almost mad with their hair pulling and toe stomping.

Of course, Dixie could easily knock him down and out of the room, but Emilia thought the situation was too amusing, and held her back.

Unfortunately, their list of 'unexpected visitors' received another addition, and it instantly evaporated their previous relaxed attitude.

The bodyguard had wasted some time looking through the first floor, and by the time he rushed to the second, he noticed the hero already in a scuffle with two young girls.

The moment the guy burst in, Emilia immediately realized that the threat and lethality this guy possessed was on another level entirely when compared to an amateur fighter. Even when compared to Dixie's bodyguard and driver, they weren't even worth comparing.

Perhaps among the people she had seen in this world, only Dixie's grandfather would be able to defeat this man. Maybe Noelle could also stand a chance, though Emilia couldn't be sure which of the two would come out on top, given she hadn't actually seen either of them fight.

'This might turn out bad…'
