Chapter 29：Trial

I entered my room with Jandi beside me and Yabo on the door post then begin moving up and down ..I can't rest, resting itself makes me restless.

"Why isn't he coming?

"Is he going to come?

"What if he kill's my brother himself?" I mutter to myself but still out loud as I pace up and down in distress.

"Empress, I warm up your bath for you ..come and take your bath." Jandi said in a calm voice but I know she's worried because it's written all over her face.

"Jandi.. I have a lot on my mind and bathing is not even one of them so please leave me be ..ok, my brother's life is hanging on a very thin thread here." I mutter as I begin to cry ..immediately Jandi started to console me by telling me to take my bath and change my outfit in case the Emperor later decides to come in and talk to me ..which actually make sense because if the Emperor where to come in and meet me in this outfit, he's anger might multiple which I don't want.

When Jandi begin to assist me, I told her to take her own bath instead in my second bathroom since Yabo said no one can leave my room. After I finished taking my bath, I dress myself in a cotton casual wear and gave Jandi one of  my previous clothes that I got when I wasn't the Empress since she refused any of my new collections even though it's simple and casual.

I waited and waited but still no sign of the Emperor. I tried going outside to his chambers but Yabo won't allow me ..I disturbed Yabo to the extent that he has to come in and lock the door from inside with a padlock then he drew my blinds down and beg me and Jandi to please sleep ..that the Emperor need some time to think things through.

I climb my bed with the mindset of waking up very early then go talk to the Emperor but sleep won't come. I toss and  toss and toss but I still couldn't sleep. I turn my eyes to the left side of my bed to know if Jandi is still awake like me or sleeping and she really is asleep.

I wake up to someone calling my name .."Nana." Immediately I got up from the bed thinking it's the Emperor just to find out that it's Jandi.  I look around and find Yabo behind the blind looking out of patience.

What's happening?

I didn't even know when I slept off but now I know it was late ..maybe even i n the morning, like two am.

"Empress, please get up ..I need to bathe and dress you. The Emperor  summoned all the elders and he asked Yabo to bring you to the throne hall in less than sixty minutes." Jandi said worriedly, I can even sense how scared she is from her voice ..no wonder why she's now dressed in her normal work outfit. I must have really been sleeping for a very long time and I am so hungry.

"I'm hungry Jandi." I said looking at Jandi who replied to me by pointing at a food on my dining table that's beside my bed ..no wonder! I could swear I perceived that food but I thought I was still dreaming. I begin walking to where the food is but Jandi stop me with a pleading tone.

I guess the Emperor is really really furious. Who knows what's going on in that head of his.
