"Besides, I've seen many dogs and cats were abandoned and returned to the pet shop in bad condition," Pawtricia said. "How about you, Prince Alpheus? Did your master treat you well?"

Alpheus halted his step for a second, and he started thinking about whether Sir Junshik Hyung treated him well or not.

Obviously, Sir Junshik Hyung always gave him food daily, and it was quality meat as well! 

Sir Junshik Hyung also let Alpheus sleep with him on the same bed, making sure that Alpheus was always warm and comfortable in his sleep. 

Sir Junshik Hyung was definitely one of, if not the best pure human that Alpheus ever met. He didn't persecute Alpheus for being a monster even as well.

But at the same time, he felt something was missing in his relationship with Sir Junshik Hyung. He felt that Sir Junshik Hyung truly treated him only as a pet rather than a SUPER MEGA BEST FRIEND.

He wanted more than just a pet. He wanted Sir Junshik Hyung to see him as someone important in his life!

Pawtricia saw that Prince Alphie was in deep thought, and she asked, "Are you thinking about your master, Prince Alphie?"

"Yeah, my master is truly a great master that treats me very well. But I want more than just a pet…." Alpheus said. "I want to be my master's SUPER MEGA BEST FRIEND."

"Well, Prince Alphie, they said that dogs are human's best friends. Maybe he already treated you like one," Pawtricia said. "Though, I think that includes any dogs. Just be careful that your master might take another dog with you, and you will be sidelined."

BOOM.

It was like thunder on a clear sky for Alpheus. He felt that his head was spinning once he realized that. He always thought that his rival to have Sir Junshik Hyung as his one and only SUPER MEGA BEST FRIEND was only those pesky female humans that tried to romance, Sir Junshik Hyung. 

But what Patricia said was true. If Sir Junshik Hyung took another dog with him, that meant the dog would live with Sir Junshik Hyung and sleep on the same bed with Sir Junshik Hyung!

'Wait, does that mean the dog will also get the privilege to suck Sir Junshik Hyung's big cock? NO WAY! Alphie won't let that happen! Sir Junshik Hyung is my one and only SUPER MEGA BEST FRIEND!' Alpheus started panicking in his heart. He was scared that Sir Junshik Hyung would really sideline him.

Pawtricia saw the panic in Alpheus and chuckled, "Prince Alphie, you don't need to be scared. As long as you're acting cute and be a good dog for your master, you won't be sidelined, hopefully."

Alpheus nodded and continued walking side by side with Pawtricia. He tried to mask his worry, but he had another thing in mind right now.

'I will have to make sure that Sir Junshik Hyung wouldn't take another dog other than me! There is no way I will let another cat or dog sleep on the same bed with Sir Junshik Hyung!'

Alpheus and Pawtricia stopped in front of a cage with a cat that lay down dispiritedly. She didn't seem to be in the mood of raising her head, let alone make a conversation.

But Pawtricia ignored it and greeted her, "Furlietta, are you still sad since the last time? It's been a while, you know."

The cat named Furlietta finally opened her eyes and looked at Pawtricia, "Oh, hi Pawtricia. Yeah, I'm still sad. I don't even feel hungry. I miss my boyfriend so much. I don't know where he is or whether he still remembers me or not."

"Oh, come on, Furlietta, there are more than just male cats in this world. How about catnip? Red dot? That feather tail we often chase? There are things better than just thinking about a male cat!" Pawtricia said. 

Furliette only stared at Pawtricia for a while and then laid weakly in her cage again. 

Pawtricia sighed, "You see, Prince Alphie. My good friend here, Furliette, is broken-hearted because her beloved boyfriend, Romeow, has been bought by a human."

"The female clerk told the one who bought Romeow that Romeow shouldn't be separated from his cat girlfriend, Furliette. But that human only bought Romeow and left Furliette alone here," Pawtricia said.

Alpheus nodded. He felt like a government official that had to solve civilians' problems. Well, it wasn't really time-consuming anyway since he had nothing to do except explore this torture dungeon. 

"But, there is a twist in this story," Pawtricia said. "About three days ago, the human who bought Romeow returned with Romeow, very sickly and thin. It seemed that Romeow also refused to eat because it had been separated from his girlfriend, Furliette. The female clerk gave the man a refund and then carried Romeow inside the…." Pawtricia gulped and pointed at a door near the cashier, where Sir Junshik Hyung and that female clerk was discussing dog vitamin right now. "To the veterinarian, Romeow has been put inside the vet room and has never been seen again."

"Veterinarian?" 

"Yes, she is the real master of this place. She is all-powerful, and she has plenty of tools that would scare the heck out of your soul," Pawtricia informed. "Prince Alphie, I suggest you not get sick. Because if you're sick, your master will bring you to the vet, and who knows that you might be neutered."

"Neutered? What's that?" Alphie asked because it was the first time hearing that term.

"Neutered means that your balls will be gone. The vet will remove your testicle."

"WHAAAAATT?!" Alpheus was so shocked that it took him a while to react. He never heard of such a practice, which was definitely immoral! 

"Y—You mean, the vet will take my balls? But how am I supposed to use it if I don't have balls?! How am I supposed to procreate?!"

"That's the point, it will stop you from having enjoyable sex, and you will never be able to impregnate a female dog, Prince Alphie," Pawtricia replied. "That's why, when you're sick, your master might bring you to the vet and have you neutered."

Alpheus was absolutely terrified now. Never in his mind had he ever seen torture that cruel. That would be an absolute humiliation for a wolf prince like him to get his balls removed! Although he had no intention of sleeping with a woman, he still wanted to keep his balls!

Pawtricia chuckled when she saw Prince Alpheus was absolutely terrified. But that was the truth, and it was what happened with Romeow, at least from what she assumed. 

"Romeow was brought to the vet and never seen again. I suspect that the mighty vet has killed Romeow or neutered him," Pawtricia said. 

"Romeow is not dead!" Furliette hissed immediately. She absolutely hated that people kept telling her that Romeow might've been put down by the vet. He was probably dead at this point. 

"I refuse to believe that he is dead! He told me that we would be trapped in this cage forever as one! That's our promise!"

"Okay, okay, Furliette, I'm sorry, Romeow is not dead. He is probably… trapped in the vet room right now," Pawtricia said, knowing well the chance of that to be true was so small. No dogs or cats got in and out of that place in perfect condition. They were either sick, very sick, or without balls after they got out.

Few never got out as well, and that would be Romeow.

Alpheus saw that Furliette was clearly distressed. She must've been loving this Romeow so much. It made Alpheus wonder if he could help in any way. 

Pawtricia said that she just wanted to walk around and visit her best friend, which Alphie assumed, was this depressed cat called Furliette. 

'I have to do something. Alphie is a villain, but Alphie has heart!' Alpheus chanted in his heart. But of course, he couldn't do much. He still didn't want Sir Junshik Hyung to see that he was actually doing illegal things in this place. 

"I can check whether Romeow is still alive or not in the vet room. But you must tell me where is the other entrance because there is no way I can walk from the main entrance since my master is near that door!" Alpheus said. 

Pawtricia was surprised, "Prince Alphie, you don't need to do that. It's been like this for a few months. Romeow is just beyond help at this point. It's better to just persuade Furliette to move on."

"I WILL NEVER MOVE ON!" Furliette hissed again. "EVEN IF HE DIED, I WOULD STARVE MYSELF, SO I CAN MEET HIM IN THE AFTERLIFE!"

"So, where is the secret entrance? Is there a lever or hidden door for it?" Alpheus asked.. "I will help to check at least. This is a duty of a good-hearted prince! I feel like being a hero today!"
