Chapter 79 - Alphie's Health Check-up! (1)

Cha Junshik looked at Alpheus, who snuggled on his chest, and he ruffled Alphie's head, "Good thing you're not a troublemaker. Good dog."

"Arf!" Alpheus barked happily. Of course, he wasn't a troublemaker. He was just helping people! Sir Junshik Hyung would be immensely proud of Alpheus' good deed today, and Alpheus expected Sir Junshik Hyung to reward him later!

Furliette jumped from one chair to another, dodging the female clerk that wanted to catch her. She was frantically searching for her beloved Romeow. 

The female vet was busy checking on Romeow in her cage when she suddenly heard a commotion. She was about to check, but a white cat suddenly rushed inside, followed by the female clerk chasing after her. 

"MEOW!" Furliette called her beloved. "ROMEOW, I'M HERE FOR YOU!"

"MEOW! MEOW!" Romeow also answered her call. He jumped from the female vet's hand and kissed Furliette by touching their nose and rubbing on each other. 

"W—What's happening?" the female vet asked the clerk.

"A—Ah, Doctor, this cat suddenly broke free from her cage. Let me catch her—"

"Wait a minute," the female vet stopped her. She looked at Romeow and this female cat and asked, "What's this cat's name?"

"Oh, she is Furliette. Your daughter named her when she came here a year ago," the clerk replied. 

"Romeow and Furliette, so they're in love…" the female vet caught the sign quickly.

"Oh, Furliette, why do you risk yourself for me? I don't want you to get kicked out or killed because of this!" Romeow said. 

"Oh, Romeow, I will never leave you! Although you're ugly as heck right now, my love for you never falters! No matter how ugly you're, what's important is your heart that stays true to me—Well, of course, we can always put a plastic bag over your head when we have sex."

Romeow and Furliette continued sticking together, so the female vet bent their knees and grabbed them with both of her hands. She put the loving cat couple inside the cage, and they started eating the cat food in the bowl together. 

They were both looking thin and haggard. They must've suffered lovesickness. 

The female vet caressed their bodies, "I will personally take care of you two. I will adopt you two. Nobody can separate them until death does them apart."

The female vet looked at the clerk, who was stunned silly at the door. She smiled and asked, "Is there something that you want to say?"

"Oh—Uh… there is a patient, Doctor. It's a black pomeranian. The handsome—I mean, the owner requested a health check-up for his dog."

"I never got a black pomeranian patient before. This is their first check-up here?"

"Yes, Doctor," the clerk said. 

"Bring them in."

Alpheus thought that everything was clear when the female clerk returned alone. 

'Alright, since everything has been cleared, I can return with Sir Junshik Hyung!' Alpheus thought. 

But it wasn't as simple as he expected, especially when the female clerk said to Sir Junshik Hyung, "The vet is free now. You can come in."

"Okay," Junshik nodded and walked towards the vet examination door. 

'Wait, wait, wait, wait, I don't want any check-up! I'm healthy, strong, and horny!' Alpheus said. He started barking at Sir Junshik Hyung, wanting to leave as soon as possible.

Cha Junshik frowned and patted Alphie's head, "What now? Why are you struggling like this? Calm down, okay? It's just a regular health check-up. They won't do anything to you."

Sir Junshik Hyung tried to calm Alpheus down, but Alphie's mind instantly traveled to his conversation with Pawtricia before. Every cat and dog that entered the vet door will never return without any scar. The male dog will get their balls removed, so they wouldn't be able to breed.

Alpheus had no intention of breeding a female wolf, 'BUT I DON'T WANT TO HAVE MY BALLS REMOVED! AAAAHHHHHH!'

"Arf! Arf! Arf! Arf!" 

"Shhh, don't struggle! You're making this difficult, Alphie!"

Alpheus cowered when Sir Junshik Hyung raised his voice on him. For some reason, he was more scared of Sir Junshik Hyung's wrath rather than facing this mysterious vet. 

Alpheus could only bury his face inside Sir Junshik Hyung's chest, hoping that he didn't need to have his balls removed. 

Cha Junshik entered the vet clinic and saw the female vet was busy caressing two cats inside a cage. Junshik identified one of the cats as one who got out and was chased by that clerk before.

The female vet turned around and was stunned at Cha Junshik's visual. But she kept her professionalism and cleared her throat immediately, "Good afternoon, my name is dr. Min Hana. I heard from the clerk that you want to do a health check-up for your dog."

Cha Junshik shook the vet's hand and sat in front of her, "Yes, this is my dog, Alpheus. I just want to do a health check-up on him, at least making sure he is completely healthy, and that's it."

"I see…" the female vet was staring at the black pomeranian hiding in his master's chest. She wouldn't lie that she got a bit jealous of a dog that could bury his face on that nice chest. 

She shook her head quickly to dispel the thought and continued asking, "If that's the case, may I know if your dog has been vaccinated before?"

"Ah…" Cha Junshik looked down at Alpheus and shook his head, "I don't think so. I found him in front of my house and won't leave no matter how much I tried to kick him out. There's nobody around the area that's searching for him as well. So I assume that he is a stray."

"I don't think there is a stray pomeranian, Sir. But if that's really the case, then you must've been so lucky," the vet smiled. "I suggest at least one core vaccine, just to make sure that he wouldn't catch some dangerous illness, like rabies or hepatitis. I will also do overall health check-ups."

Cha Junshik nodded, "Please do that."

"Alright," the female vet took out her gloves and opened her palms. Please give your dog to me. I will do a health check-up on him.

Alpheus started struggling when Sir Junshik Hyung suddenly lifted him up, wanting to give him to someone else. He started barking crazily and tried to jump off.

"Arf! Arf! Arf! Arf!" 

'Sir! Please let me go! I really can't do this! I don't want to get my balls removed! I am the next king in line. It would be so humiliating! Sir Junshik Hyung, HELP ME!'

Cha Junshik clicked his tongue in annoyance, "Alpheus, stay still. If you dare to bite the vet, you won't sleep on my bed anymore."

Alpheus was stunned when Sir Junshik Hyung threatened him. He whimpered and let himself be handed to the female vet. 

"Your dog looks so clingy with you. Did he have a traumatizing experience before?" the vet asked.

Cha Junshik tried to remember his conversation with Alpheus before. Basically, Alphie told him that he was sad to be thrown away far from his family into the Elune forest. 

Of course, he was alright now. But the trauma still lingered.

Cha Junshik nodded, "I think he has an abandonment issue. He doesn't want to get too far from me, and he will follow me everywhere in my apartment."

"I see," the vet got up and walked to the long desk with all the tools needed to check on the animals. Alpheus continued whimpering. He was so scared because he had never felt this vulnerable before. The last time he felt like this was when he was four years old in the middle of Elune Forest.

"Urrff… urff…"

'Sir… Sir Junshik Hyung, please don't leave me. Alphie is so scared right now….' 

Cha Junshik was sitting while looking at Alpheus, only five feet away from him. But the black pomeranian's eyes were already pooling with tears. He was almost crying at this point, and though he couldn't speak in human language right now, his eyes said everything. He was feeling abandoned. 

Alpheus was so scared when the female vet started to touch his body for the health check-up he kept staring at Sir Junshik Hyung because right now, only Sir Junshik Hyung's figure could make him feel safe. 

Cha Junshik sighed when he saw the begging eyes. He got up from the chair and walked towards his dog. 

"Doctor, may I accompany my dog while you're doing your check-up?"

"Oh, sure, it's alright. I see your dog looks so scared as well. You should stay by his side."

Cha Junshik sighed and ruffled Alpheus' head, "Why are you so scared? I'm not even that far from you." 

"Urff…" Alpheus hugged Sir Junshik Hyung's hand with his front feet. He buried his face in Sir Junshik Hyung's palm. 

'Sir Junshik Hyung, please don't leave Alphie. Alphie is so scared without you….'

Cha Junshik chuckled lightly, "Don't be scared.. I will never leave you, Alpheus."
