Fu Sinian, standing next to Yu Duo, was enjoying the frightful look on her.

How dare she whispered sweet nothings with her ex-lover right in front of him.

She must be taught a lesson so she knew who was the boss.

Except that Fu Sinian hadn’t planned on having s*x with her last night. He just wanted to give her sleep paralysis as a reminder. Who would have thought….

Fu Sinian raised his brows and smiled. That was quite exciting if you asked him.

A chill came from all directions and Yu Duo shuddered. She quickly changed into a turtleneck and went downstairs.

As soon as she got downstairs, she immediately saw Fu Sinian’s portrait in the living room. For some odd reason, the Fu Sinian in the picture looked particularly ferocious and scary today. His eyes in the picture looked so lively, as though they were staring at her.

Being stared at by that pair of eyes gave Yu Duo goosebumps. She quickly looked away and walked over to the dining room.

Aunty Lian had prepared a table full of food and was waiting for her to come downstairs. Yu Duo had no appetite today at all. She sat in front of the table and all sorts of thoughts raced through her mind. The food in front of her tasted like wax.

Aunty Lian was worried, “Madam, did you catch a cold last night? You have no appetite?”

Yu Duo took the opportunity and nodded. Then, in her hoarse voice, she said softly, “I think a little bit.”

“Then you should go see the doctor after lunch. Any sort of illness should be taken seriously.”

“Don’t worry, Aunty Lian. I will go as soon as I am done here.” After she said that, Yu Duo stabbed the rice repeatedly with the chopsticks in her hand and finally, after summoning up enough courage, asked, “Aunty Lian, did you…. Hear any noises last night?”

“Noises? What noises? I didn’t hear anything.” On the subject of noises, Aunty Lian suddenly remembered something else, “Speaking of, Madam, what time did you come home last night?”

“Probably around midnight.”

“That was way too late. No wonder you don’t seem very well rested today. Hurry up and eat so you can go see the doctor. Your health is very important.”

Yu Duo grunted in response and continued to stab her rice.

After a little bit, she couldn’t hold it back anymore.

“Aunty Lian, you have seen a lot in your life. Have you ever seen those…” Yu Duo bit her lip, struggling to say what was on her mind.

“What?”

“You know, those….” Yu Duo was troubled, “I dreamt of Sinian last night. He said he was cold and didn’t feel well. I want to see, if you happen to know any medium?”

“Cold? Didn’t feel well? What is going on with Master?”

Yu Duo continue to make up stuff as she went, “I… I am not sure what was going on with him either. But that was what he told me in my dream last night. I want to see if we can find a medium to find out more.”

Aunty Lian pondered a little after hearing Yu Duo’s words, “I heard from the elders in the past that if someone who was recently gone didn’t feel well, they will let their loved ones know in their dreams…”

Yu Duo panicked, but she didn’t not let it show.

“Then what can we do? Do you know any medium? The real kind.”

“A real medium….” Aunty Lian thought about it for a bit and said, “Oh yeah, matter of fact, I do!”

Yu Duo’s eyes beamed.

“The Master’s last name is Wen. Everybody refers to him as Master Wen. He lived in Chunfeng Alley on Chengxi Road. I think he is quite well known as well. In the past, when kids have night paralysis, we have always gone to him for help.”

“Okay, then I’ll go after lunch…. First to the doctor’s, then I will go visit this Master Wen,” Yu Duo, seeing a sliver of hope, seem to be less anxious than she was earlier.

Looking at the secretly delighted look on Yu Duo’s face, Fu Sinian squinted.

Looking for a medium?
