Chapter 33 – We Belong In Different Worlds (4)
She received text notifications on Weibo.
Yu Yang, “You take care. He’s already gone, but we still need to move on. I will take you out when we get a chance.”
Su Yang, “Don’t be too sad. Boss Fu is gone, but I trust that he will continue to look after you and protect you from afar.”
Zhao Chen, “Miss Yu. Do you have some time to meet? I know a fairly good place that I think you’d like.”
Yu Duo shuddered. What Su Yang said gave her goosebumps.
She replied some pleasantries and set her phone aside. Locking her room door behind her, she found the credit card that Fu Sinian had given her some three years ago.
When Fu Sinian has given her the card, he told her to spend it however she liked. Of course, Yu Duo never did that. She was supposed to be desire-free Chinese dodder that couldn’t live without Fu Sinian. In order to maintain her image of someone who didn’t care about money or materialistic goods, she had barely used that credit card except for buying birthday gifts for Fu Sinian.
Granted, she was sure that Fu Sinian tracked every penny charged on that card.
How could Fu Sinian not be happy having such a well-behaved wife who loved him more than anything else and only know to buy him gifts?
With the credit card in hand, Yu Duo kissed it excitedly.
“Just you wait, we’ll go on a shopping trip in Paris tomorrow!”
Standing right at the door was Fu Sinian, who Yu Duo was so certain had already went to reincarnate. Coldly, he looked at Yu Duo’s true colors exposing themselves after his death without any reservations.
Anything else he found out about her would not surprise him anymore.
He had seen so much that he had already accepted the truth.
Yu Duo had been very good and pleasing in the past three years, and the days had been good. He hadn’t had to worry about anything at home, and he didn’t mind continue spoiling her.
From what he had seen so far, he thought he had it all planned, and he had been so proud of himself. But, in the end, he was fooled by that simple-looking wife of his.
Yu Duo, you should be glad that I am already dead.
If only I was still alive…
Fu Sinian squinted, his look was difficult to interpret.

“What? Travelling overseas? Tomorrow?” Aunty Lian stared at Yu Duo, stunned, “That’s so sudden!”
Fu Sinian and Yu Duo have been married for three years, and she had seen how in love they were with each other with her own eyes. Madam was heart broken after Master had passed away.
The last two days have been better, Madam had left the house a little bit and seemingly in better spirits, but that didn’t solve the root of the problem. She had been wondering how to help Madam walk out of the tragic accident.
It’s not good to keep everything bottled up inside. What if she got sick from that?
Yu Duo looked as though she still had a lot of hesitation, “Aunty Lian, I have decided, even if it isn’t tomorrow, it will still be the next couple of days…. I want to go out for a little bit.”
Aunty Lian sighed deeply, “Yes, you should go and have a change of pace. But I don’t think you should go alone, perhaps you can have Ah Chi….”
“That’s alright,” said Yu Duo as she shook her head. She had just witnessed Ah Chi’s true colors two days ago; she wouldn’t dare to take him with her. How’d she enjoy herself with Ah Chi with her? “I just want to go on a trip alone. Don’t worry. I am a grown woman; I will be fine.”
Seeing that Aunty Lian was still hesitant, Yu Duo continued, “Sinian promised me before. He said when he frees up time, he will take me to Paris, Turkey, Finland, Venice….” Yu Duo’s voice broke, “I have always wanted to visit these places. Last year Sinian said he will take me, but we never had the chance. If I don’t go, I will regret for life.”
“Madam….”
“Aunty Lian, please, just let me go.”
With Yu Duo groveling the way she was, Aunty Lian finally loosen up on her stance, “Alright, I will help you pack tomorrow. But, Madam, now that Master was gone, our lives still have to go on. We must look forward all the time. You should work on walking out of the shadow.”
Yu Duo gave Aunty Lian a thankful look and said, “Thank you, Aunty Lian.”
