She curled up her legs and wrapped her arms around her knees and laid her head on her knee. Tears flowed down uncontrollably, she can't act fine anymore, her willpower was giving up. She was tired from all of this. She didn't want to live anymore, her hope was fading.
She was exhausted, her eyes started to close and she couldn't keep them open anymore. She plopped down on the bed.
'Am l dying?' Quin thought before losing her consciousness.
When she woke up, it was bright. Her sight was blurry, and her throat was dry.
"Wa...water~" she cried in a hoarse and weak voice.
She saw a blurry figure coming towards her, she couldn't see his face, he was telling her something but she couldn't hear anything. He helped her to get up and drink some water. After drinking the water, she knocked out again.
Quin didn't even know for how many days and nights she was unconscious, but when she woke up again, she saw her children sitting beside her. They were worried about her. When they saw her, Cailin went close to her.
"Momma, are you okay." Cailin asked, trying to control his tears but at last he started crying.
"I am sorry…" he mumbled inside his mouth. When he landed in the airport with her sister and a few of the bodyguards and their caretaker. He was excited to see his mother and father again. He was excited to see them but instead of seeing them he was taken home with her sister by their driver.
He thought his mother was at home, waiting for him but when he reached there, she was nowhere to be found. Instead their father came, and welcomed them.
From his looks he looks tired with heavy dark circles around his eyes. It was obvious that he pulled many all nighters.
Did she leave them?
"No, momma is not going to leave us. She promised us that she will not." Cailin shook his head on thinking about that question. He didn't want to give his hope away. Because he didn't want to, he was even afraid to think that his mother would leave him.
Suddenly someone knocked on his door, it was his father, Rayn. He knocked at the door to ask him for lunch. Cailin jumped out of the bed and opened the door instantly, hoping it was his mother but his hope was shattered when he saw his father standing in front.
He didn't say anything but his shine in his eyes faded. Rayn showed his eyes clearly but didn't say anything. He smiled and tried to look natural.
"Cailin, come downstairs for dinner." Rayn smiled and took him to the dining table. Cailin nodded and went downstairs.
He sat down beside Rayn, his eyes still searched for Quin, but when food was served on his plate. He looked sad.
"Dad, where is momma?" Cailin mumbled inside his mouth. Rayn didn't hear him clearly, so he asked him what he said.
Cailin didn't want to say out loud; afraid that his father would be angry, but when Rayn asked him again. He finally said it clearly.
"Where is momma?" Cailin looked up at his dad's eyes and asked clearly.
Rayn stayed silent for sometime, seeing his dad not saying anything. Tears rolled down," Dad, where is momma?" He sobbed.
"Sigh" Rayn sighed softly and got up from his seat.
"Momma is working, eat your food. She will come back soon." Rayn lied to him.
"No you are lying. Momma will come to see me and sis even if she is busy." Cailin stubbornly said but what he said was true. His mother would not work even after knowing the news of them arriving. She would leave her work and come to meet them.
It was really unusual that their mother was busy even after knowing they came.
"Cailin, stop being stubborn. Eat your food. Momma is busy." Rayn ordered him.
"No, I want to meet momma." Cailin instantly replied back.
"Cailin!" Rayn hands were on air about to hit him but he stopped midway when he saw sadness in his son's eye. Those eyes somehow make his heart wrench. Rayn for the first time noticed that his eyes are like his mother. Clear and full of emotions, their eyes can never hide their feelings.
Cailin tears flowed down seeing his father about to slap him, he ran away to his room.
Rayn tried to stop him but his voice was stuck in his throat. He wanted to say something but he couldn't. He sat down on the chair, he felt weak and heart wrench seeing what he was about to do.
Rayn was not a weak person. He was teached and stayed in an environment like that from birth. His father always thought him to be dominant on women, they were just playing things for men. Being young at that time he learned it as his father teached. But today he regrets learning his father's teachings more than ever. His loving family is crying because of him.
He regretted it more than ever, he had a perfect family but it was him who destroyed it. Quin was in hospital because of him, his son cried because of him. He took away his mother from his children.
How can he? Sobs left thinking about what he has done because of greed, jealousy, possessiveness and obsession. He could have gotten her when she loved him blindly but instead he hurt her more than once. He could be a loving husband to her, and give her a perfect family but instead he treated her as a mistress.
He could be a good father and give his kids fatherly life but he left them. He thought of them as a burden while they are the best gift he could ever get.
Yes, he regretted it. Regret all of it but can it create any difference to his present and future. He was so sure that Quin would never forget him, and he never wanted to get forgiven. He was a devil, a monster who did so many bad things to her; but still some part of him was forgiven and got a chance to correct his mistake.
