"Don't laugh, help me." Andrew pouted hearing her chuckle.
"Fine." Jennie stopped laughing, and sat down beside him. Andrew felt a tingling feeling in his heart, he was getting attracted to her.
"What are you thinking about?" Jennie snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Nothing, you finish this work, let me make a phone call." Andrew clumsily gave the file to her and went to the corner to make a call.
Andrew can't take his eyes off her, she was so pretty and beautiful that he can't take his eyes off.
"Bro, why are you calling so late?" His friend growled in anger.
"Bro, tell me if a girl does makeover what does it mean?" Andrew questioned him.
"That means she has a boyfriend or a crush, if not then she just wants to make someone regret. I will go back to sleep, don't call again." He cut the call after his reply.
He knows about whom he was asking about, it was Jennie. His idiot friend never showed any interest in her, he didn't even notice her feelings towards him. He always felt bad for her, she always helped him from back but never said her feelings out loud to Andrew.
He asked her why she never said her feelings to Andrew, she replied softly, "because I am not good enough for him."
Hearing her words, he sighed softly, both of them are idiots not knowing their feelings for each other.
When he saw Jennie after the makeover, he felt bad and sad for her, such a good girl but she says she was not good enough. If he is honest, he thinks an idiot like Andrew is not good enough for a girl like Jennie. She is way better than him.
He always hoped that Jennie could get the guy who really loves and cares about her, who treats her like a princess.
Andrew sighed, after hearing the words from his brother. He already asked her if she got a boyfriend but she said no, then was, she dumped by someone?
Who even dares to dump his bro? He will skin that guy alive?
He walked close to her, pulling up his sleeves. "Jennie!" He slammed his hand on the table and made her chair towards him as he leaned over to level his face with her.
"Eh?" Jennie looked at his face, her heart stopped beating for a few seconds. She just looked at him, that she forgot to breathe.
"Who is that guy?" He stared at her eyes, as if he was looking at her soul.
"What are you talking about?" Jennie asked, baffled by his sudden gesture and question.
"Jennie, how can you be so easy? How can you let any guy bully you? Why didn't you say it to me, your bro?" He asked, shaking her shoulder.
"Bro?" Jennie scoffed hearing his word. She bit her lower lips, in misery. So, he only thinks of her as a brother?
"Yeah, we are both bros." He said, blinking his eyes unknown what he said wrong.
"I just remember I have some work, I have to go." She got up, moving away his hands from her shoulder.
"Why? You said you would help me?" Andrew stopped her, holding her wrist. "I have to go." She snapped away his hand and ran away.
Andrew couldn't understand what angered her suddenly. Was she still sad about her breakup and he rubbed salt on his wounds?
"Hey, sorry for talking about it." Andrew shouted from behind but Jennie was gone. "So much temper, no matter how you look with your temper no one will like you." Andrew complained going back to his desk.
Suddenly someone slammed her hand on the desk, Andrew was surprised with the sudden noise and looked up, it was Jennie.
Andrew stood up in a second, he was sure that she heard his talk. Jennie didn't look at him, she just picked up the purse she left behind and walked away.
Knowing that she was angry, Andrew tried to stop her,"Jennie, I am sorry. I was just joking." Andrew tried to butter her.
"You!" Andrew glared at her, realizing she slapped him.
"Bastard." Jennie commented, as tears rolled down her cheeks. She pushed him away and left.
"You, who are you calling bastard?" Andrew followed her, and held her back by her wrist.
"Let go of me." Jennie tried to snap away his hand but his hold was more firmer than before. He pinned her on the wall, holding both of his hands.
Only word Andrew tried to forget is being called a bastard. In the past before he met Michael and Jennie, he was always hated and bullied in school because he was a son of a p.r.o.s.t.i.t.u.t.e.
No matter how much he tries to hide, memories still haunt. He never knew who his father was, her mother never told him nor she cared about him. She was too busy with her customer to take her off him.
It was always him, loneliness and darkness who can think the guy who always has a smile can have a dark past like this, he never told anything about his past to others, not even Michael or Jennie.
When Michael found him, he was already teen, homeless, furious, always getting into fights. If it was not Michael who trained him to be the person he was, he would obviously be a guy who was still getting into trouble.
"Let go of me." Jennie struggled to get out but his hold was stronger and firm she thought, which was hurting her badly.
"I am not a bastard." He stated, looking at her eyes. He went closer to her. Jennie was not afraid by his sudden change of behavior. She has never seen him so furious.
She averted her gaze away from him, as she felt chill down the spine.
"Look at me." He yelled, as seeing her looking away made him more furious.
